Well Dominated Love Episode Summary

The title Well Dominated Love (奈何boss又如何) will certainly remind viewers of the series Well Intended Love and its Season 2. But both are independent of each other with totally different characters. Perhaps I will do a bit of comparison between the 2 in my Well Dominated Love review. But for now, let’s just watch and enjoy this rom-com first with the episode summary below. With a good-looking male lead in Eden Zhao and just 24 episodes in total, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I would be able to sit through this pretty easily!

Episode 1

Yan Jing Zhi heads the Bojue Group. But he is a demanding boss with an obsessive compulsive personality. Nie Xing Chen is a capable secretary for Zhao Yuan Fang at Yuanda. Yan flies in to discuss a business deal with Yuanda. Nie has to receive him. She seems to know his likes and personal habits. Yan is impressed and tries to lure her away from Yuanda to be his chief secretary. She rejects his offer.

While sending him off after dinner, Nie trips and gets physically close to Yan. Her scent smells familiar to him. He asks her if they have met before. Nie says no. Yan dreams about a girl that night. He hasn’t had this dream for a long time and wonders if it is a precursor for the recovery of his memory.

The next morning, Yan decides to acquire Yuanda and appoints Nie as his chief secretary. He asks her again if they have met in the past. Nie insists no. In the President’s office, Ai Lu is jealous that she is not appointed to be the chief secretary. But Nie uses her wits to get Ai Lu on her side. Yan is impressed with her skills. He gives her another task to clean up his new house and is highly satisfied with the results. Yan also requests Nie to take care of his daily needs and to turn up at his home at 7.30am the next day. Nie prepares breakfast and his suit for the day.

A famous celebrity, Zhen Nian, drops by to see Yan. It is rumoured that they are getting engaged. Nie applies to resign but Yan rejects it. She tells him off for being obsessive compulsive and insensitive.

Episode 2

Yan keeps thinking about Nie’s accusations of being obsessive compulsive. He meets his friend and doctor, Dr. Han Zi Yu, the following day. Tong Xin sends some documents to Yan at the hospital. She bumps into Dr. Han and has a crush on him. Dr Han advises Yan to get to know Nie better since she is the source of his headache and could help him recover his memory. Nie recalls the time that Yan had proposed to her in the past.

Nie wants to buy an apartment. But the Bojue Group will release welfare housing for staff the following month. Hence, she can’t quit yet. Yan purposely makes Nie run around with her tasks as revenge for wanting to resign. While treating her colleagues to a hotpot dinner after work, Yan calls Nie to access a report on her computer. She has to reveal her password which is the same as the number that he has picked for his car plate.

Yan drops by to join his staff for the hotpot. Nie seems to know what he doesn’t eat. After dinner, Zhao arrives to meet Nie. He tells them that he will have a date with her the next day. Yan then orders Director Huang to arrange for a team building trip for the department to prevent Nie from seeing Zhao. During the trip, Yan could easily guess all the answers from Nie’s clues during a game which refer to very personal details about him.

When Zhao finds out about the team building trip, he makes his way there to join them. Both Yan and Zhao fight over Nie’s time and attention. At the hot springs pool, Yan approaches Nie to ask her about their relationship. Nie notices the ring he is wearing as a pendant.

Episode 3

Yan forces Nie to try on the ring but stops when Zhao and Zhen Nian arrive. Nie admits to Zhao that she used to be with Yan. Zhao warns her that Yan is getting suspicious. Zhen Nian asks Yan why he can’t give her a chance even after 5 years. Yan replies that it is because she is not the ring owner. He tries the ring on Nie’s finger again the next day and it fits. But Nie still denies knowing him. Zhao also turns up to claim Nie is his girlfriend and leads her away. Yan is frustrated with Nie’s denial.

Tong Xin establishes a Dr. Han’s fan club. Her enthusiasm leaves Dr. Han feeling flabbergasted. Zhao offers Yan his remaining 20% share in Yuanda for him to leave Nie alone. Yan rejects his offer. Zhao turns up at Nie’s department and gives the impression that he is her boyfriend. Nie drags him back to his office. Nie suggests Zhen Nian to be the ambassador for the company’s new app. Yan agrees and asks her to arrange it. When Nie meets Zhen Nian, the latter purposely drops hints that she and Yan are together.

Yan turns up at Nie’s apartment when she falls sick. He assures her that he wouldn’t mistake her for someone else again but would need time to find her replacement. Yan tidies up her apartment. But he tells Nie not to lie to him anymore about having a boyfriend as there is no sign of it in her home.

During the press conference, a short clip of Yan goes viral. The publicity department suggests recording Yan’s daily life as a promotional gimmick. But Nie shoots it down as Yan would not like it. Then Yan catches Nie watching the video.

Episode 4

Yan learns about the publicity plans and agrees to it. But he doesn’t want anyone else to record him except Nie. So, Nie follows him around the whole day including during his swimming session. When she drops her phone into the pool, Yan retrieves it for her but makes her fall into the water with him. He teases her about her irregular breathing. At night, he dreams of her again but she is with Zhao in the pool.

A live stream is set up for Yan to answer some questions about himself. When asked about his ideal girlfriend, he describes Nie. Yan thinks Nie is falling for his charms when he catches her secretly taking photos of him. But Nie is only doing so at the requests of fans. Yan then orders for all his videos and photos to be taken down.

Tong Xin is looking for Dr. Han again and bringing him food. Dr. Han is nervous over her over-enthusiasm as she claims to be a professional fan. Yan is at a loss of how to woo Nie. Dr. Han advises him to buy her a gift. So, Yan prepares a big box of gifts with flowers and balloons. But Nie signals her rejection through Zhao. Yan complains to Dr. Han that his suggestion is useless. Dr. Han then advises Yan the gift must be something Nie likes and he could get ideas from her social media account.

Yan puts up a sad face and sob story to get Nie to unblock him from her social media account. Once he could see her postings, he arranges for a heart-shape light show to woo her indirectly by claiming that it is a product of a UAV company that he has just taken over.

Episode 5

Yan books the whole restaurant to treat Nie to dinner. He then presents Nie with a star pendant necklace and confesses his love but gets rejected. At their housing project sales office, the salesgirl recognizes Nie. Yan learns Nie is staying on temporarily because of the staff welfare housing application. He wants her to continue to work for him to enjoy the benefit. But Nie is insistent on leaving.

A lottery draw is planned for the company’s app users. The prize is a signed photo of Yan. Nie agrees to buy a house with a great deal offered. Feeling happy, she treats her colleagues to a karaoke session. Director Huang asks Yan to join. Nie receives a call from her parents. Her father is a guarantor for a loan and the borrower has fled. Nie has to let go of the house she wants to buy but is still short of money. Yan tells her that he can help but she must work for him for 3 years and be his girlfriend. Nie rejects his offer.

Zhen Nian finds out about Nie’s situation. She offers her money in return for her staying away from Yan. Nie is not interested. She also tells Zhen Nian that her name is exactly like an ex-university mate’s name. Only the appearance is a little different. Zhao gives Nie the money she needs and tells her it is her bonus for all her past work. But her parents then call to say that the borrower has repaid all the money.

Nie notices the borrower’s photo on Yan’s desk. Yan claims that he only found the borrower for her but the repayment didn’t come from him. He also asks Nie why she rejects him. Nie says it is because she still loves her ex.

Episode 6

Dr. Han advises Yan to provoke Nie so that she would deviate from her usual behavior. Hence, Yan alienates Nie at work and makes her jealous by having dinner with Zhen Nian. The restaurant owner tells Yan that he looks familiar. When Zhen Nian sees a photo of Yan proposing to Nie on the wall, she quietly puts it into her bag.

Dr. Han is on a blind date set up by his mother. Tong Xin who has been following him helps him to get the girl off his back. Yan tries to make Nie jealous by meeting Hanna. But the plan backfires when Hanna tells Nie in the toilet that she is Yan’s neighbor and is already engaged to someone else.

Yan seeks out Zhao to ask about Nie’s ex. They get into a drinking bout and end up drunk. Nie has to send both of them home. Yan hugs her in his drunken state and states 2 things that he regrets in his life – not being able to meet her earlier and not being there when his father died. Nie pushes him away when she hears his confession. The next morning, Yan calls Nie again to test how much she cares for him. Nie rushes to his place but discovers that he is just pretending to be unconscious. She tells him that she has to leave for her college reunion.

Yan turns up at her reunion and gets clues that some of her friends have met him before. Nie drags him out of there. She claims that he looks like her ex which makes him a substitute. But Yan is still suspicious and goes back to the restaurant where he had dinner with Zhen Nian earlier. The missing photo leads him to confront Zhen Nian.

Episode 7

Yan shows Nie the proposal photo. She has to admit that they were lovers. She lies to him because they can’t go back to the past. They have already broken up by the time he has amnesia. Furthermore, Yan can’t recall their past anyway. Yan leaves the ring with Nie. Both of them are heartbroken. Nie used to be a waitress and Yan was a customer. They met and fell in love 6 years ago.

Zhao sees Zhen Nian drinking at the bar. He sends her pictures of her being drunk the next day to rile her up. Yan didn’t turn up for work. Nie is worried. During a farewell dinner with her colleagues, she receives a call that Yan is in the hospital. Tong Xin drives her there but Nie asks her not to tell Yan that she has visited.

Yan is sleeping from alcohol overdose. Nie recalls their happy moments and kisses his forehead before leaving. She bumps into Zhen Nian. They have a talk. Zhen Nian has always been envious of Nie. Yan has never loved her even after 5 years. Nie admits that she loves Yan but will still leave him because of their own issues. Tong Xin saves Dr. Han again from an over-enthusiastic female patient by claiming that she is his girlfriend. She suggests that they meet twice a week as repayment for her help. The news that Tong Xin is now his girlfriend starts to circulate in the hospital.

When Yan awakes, Zhen Nian is in his room. Both Zhen Nian and Tong Xin lie to him that Nie has not visited. Back at work, Yan is in a bad mood without Nie. His lunch with Zhen Nian and their intimacy become news. Nie is looking for a job and sees the news.

Episode 8

Zhao checks in on Nie. She informs him that Yan knows about their past relationship now. Zhao passes Nie some job recommendations but she wants to rely on herself. Zhao takes a video while in Nie’s apartment to make Yan jealous. Yan makes his staff work non-stop with his bad mood. He confiscates Nie’s notes from Tong Xian which details how to handle him.

Dr. Han tells Tong Xin during dinner that he is uncomfortable with women due to a bitter past experience. Tong Xin wants to help him cure his women phobia and hugs him quickly. She also tells Dr. Han about Yan’s bad mood. Dr. Han then sends Yan a picture of Nie kissing him in the hospital.

Yan learns from the restaurant owner that he had fainted before Nie could give him an answer for his proposal. Nie claims she doesn’t remember when he asks her for details. She also fails to secure a job despite numerous interviews until she learns Yan is involved. She agrees to help him recover his memory on the condition that he stops interfering in her interviews.

Nie brings Yan to the places that they used to go. But she changes their subsequent appointment time. So, he goes to her place but finds Nie’s parents and Zhao there. Her mother invites him to join them for dinner. Her mother complains about Nie’s boss being unreasonable. Nie says Yan is her assistant.

When Nie sends Yan downstairs after dinner, he asks her why she had kissed him at the hospital. Yan kisses Nie to prove that she has feelings for him. Zhao witnesses it from the window above. Yan asks Nie to treat him the way she treats Zhao as a start if she doesn’t know what to do.

Episode 9

Although disappointed, Zhao advises Nie to follow her heart if she can’t let go of Yan. He will support her no matter what her decision is. Nie is grateful to Zhao for being a precious friend. She also informs her parents that Yan is actually her ex-boss.

The next day, Yan accompanies Nie and her parents. While Nie and her mother shop, her father brings Yan for a cupping therapy and then a meal. Her father reveals that he knows Yan is Nie’s ex-boss but who could be his son-in-law depends on Nie and not him. Both of them return home drunk. Nie sends Yan home. He undresses in the kitchen while drunk which embarrasses Nie.

Zhao bumps into Zhen Nian at the office. He asks her to give up pursuing Yan and purposely irritates her by mentioning her drunken pictures. Yan presents Nie’s parents with a load of gifts and upgrades their tickets to fly home. He overhears them being satisfied with him but finds him too rich like Nie’s ex-boyfriend whose family rejected her.

Yan wants to know the whole truth from Nie. She relates to him that his father was against their relationship. He asked her to leave his son and reject his proposal. She refused and later, gave his father their location when he called. But Yan fainted halfway through the proposal while his father died in a car accident on the way to stop them. Yan has unexplained amnesia and couldn’t remember Nie. She felt guilty about his father and didn’t know how to face him. So, she left him.

Yan is angry and feels Nie was being selfish for leaving him. She leaves his apartment and is crying at the bus stop when Yan turns up.

Episode 10

Yan brought Nie back to his home the previous night merely because it was raining heavily and she was wet. Nie secures a job with Yatai and will move to Shanghai.

Tong Xin goes to Dr. Han’s house to cook for him but ends up ordering takeaway. She panics and leaves when Yan shows up. Dr. Han advises Yan to stay away from Nie for his mental wellbeing but as a friend, he doesn’t want him to regret if she is wooed away by others.

Nie tells Zhao that she is going Shanghai. Yan’s mother, Ms. Ye,, recalls that his father had realised that he shouldn’t have stopped his relationship with Nie as long as he is happy. Yan used to be angry with his father but he can now let go with his mother’s revelations.

Zhao purposely asks Yan for leave to send off someone to instigate him to woo back Nie. Yan lets Nie assumes he has a girlfriend at home when she drops by to return their love tokens. He then stops Yatai from hiring Nie and tells her to accompany Ms. Ye if she wants to make amends for her past mistakes towards him.

Yan’s mother quietly test out Nie without revealing her identity and finds her compatible with her son. Yan asks Nie to decorate a place for the following night. She assumes it is for his girlfriend. Yan thanks Zhen Nian for the last 5 years and tells her that Nie will always be the one for him. Zhao is then informed that Zhen Nian has cancelled all the marketing contracts with Bojue.

Nie is sprucing up the site for a romantic night as instructed. Yan turns up and asks for her opinion on the atmosphere. He says the event is for her.

Episode 11

Nie is surprised. She thought Yan hates her. Although he did because she left him without a word, he also doesn’t blame her for his father’s death. Yan tells Nie that his father had changed his mind before he died and wanted them to be happy. They kiss and make up. Yan wants Nie to return to be his chief secretary. He explains to his staff that Nie left because of love problems with her boyfriend previously which are now settled. The staff think that Nie’s boyfriend must be Zhao. Yan wants to put the record straight but is stopped by Nie. She wants to keep their relationship private to avoid gossips.

Yan and Nie are lovey-dovey in the office but run the risks of being discovered by colleagues. When Nie hugs Zhao as a friend on her return to Bojue, her colleagues start gossiping about it. Yan is jealous in a childish way. When Zhao calls Nie, Yan invites him over to Nie’s place. The 2 men childishly spar over dinner. After dinner, Zhao left. Nie suggests to Yan that they play something fun. Yan thought they would sleep together but it turns out that Nie is only thinking of playing spin-the-wheel.

The next morning, Nie drops by Yan’s place and meets his mother. She is surprised that she is Ms. Ye. Zhao spars with Zhen Nian during her boxing practice. He persuades her to continue with the company’s endorsements and manages to make her laugh. Nie’s colleagues find a communication device for couples that Yan had bought earlier on her desk. Nie makes the excuse that she has been instructed to send it out as a gift.

Director Huang invites the department’s staff to his new house. Yan drops by unannounced since Nie is there.

Episode 12

Nie’s colleagues warn her about her mysterious boyfriend during dinner as there are a lot of cheating men out there. Yan drags Nie out of there on the pretext of work. They end up taking couple pictures in a photo booth. Their colleagues catch them together. They give the excuse that Yan is considering buying a photo booth company.

Yan misses Nie when she is not around. He plans to ask her to move in with him. Yan prepares a romantic breakfast and expresses his love when the door opens. But the person who turns up is Director Huang who thinks Yan is reciting a poem. Yan complains to Nie that she didn’t reply his messages the previous night and asks for a kiss as compensation.

Tong Xin seeks out Nie for dating ideas with Dr. Han. Nie suggests going to the movies. But Dr. Han fails to show up for the date and Tong Xin finds him taking care of a female colleague. She becomes jealous and unhappy. Yan chooses a horror movie to watch with Nie at home. He fantasizes that she will be scared but it is the other way round instead. He then asks Nie to play a game where he has put in his house key as a prize. But Nie’s phone keeps ringing because of work. They have a spat over it before Nie leaves to comfort an unhappy Tong Xin.

Nie returns to Yan’s home drunk. Although he plans to be angry with her, his heart melts once she asks for a hug. The next morning, he tries to hint again that she should move in with him. But Director Huang shows up to spoil his plan again. Zhao meets an intoxicated Zhen Nian at the bar. They end up kissing passionately.

Episode 13

Yan cooks dinner for Nie. He presents her his house key after dinner. They end up sleeping together. The next morning, Nie wakes up first and leaves to buy groceries. When she returns, she finds that Yan has gone to the hospital. Zhao wakes up in a hotel room to find all his clothes have been taken away by Zhen Nian.

Nie goes to look for Yan at the hospital. She tries to kiss him in the lift but he claims not to know her. Yan has lost his memory again. Back at the office, he requests from past company records from Director Huang. Then he questions Nie about the Yuanda deal. She thinks he is role-playing and hugs him again. Yan gets angry and accuses her of crossing the line. He wants to fire her but since he has no valid reason, he ends up transferring her to the archives department.

Nie tries to talk to Yan but he refuses to give her a chance. She looks for Dr. Han for an explanation. But Dr. Han is unable to shed light on Yan’s memory loss although Nie might be the catalyst. He advises her to that she could make Yan fall in love with her again for the 3rd time if she could do it twice before.

Yan employs Jin to be his new chief secretary as she looks like Nie. Jin is capable and Yan is happy with her performance. Tong Xin seeks Nie’s advice on her relationship with Dr. Han. Nie advises her to think what she would like to tell others about her story years from now and that is how she should proceed. Zhao is shocked that Nie has been replaced.

Episode 14

Nie informs Zhao that Yan has lost his memory again. But this time she will stay by his side. Tong Xin apologizes to Dr. Han for saying things that she shouldn’t to Dr. Bai. It is still the fan-idol kind of relationship. Yan catches Nie when she falls while retrieving a report for him. Her blouse buttons become loose. Yan uses his jacket to cover her up. Nie tries to return it to him the following day but is blocked by Jin. She has to leave it with her instead.

Nie’s application for staff housing has been specially approved by Yan previously and her unit is next door to his. She quietly moves in and intends to woo him back as a stranger. She puts on a facial mask when he comes to complain about her erroneous bluetooth connection to his device. But every morning, Nie will leave him breakfast at his door with a note. He gets curious that she knows his tastes.

Tong Xin drops by Dr. Han’s office to find Dr. Bai sewing a loose button for him. She tries to take over the task but the needle pokes Dr. Bai instead. Tong Xin apologizes to her and the 3 of them go for a meal together. She feels left out and miserable that she couldn’t fulfill Dr. Han’s ideal girlfriend requirement.

Yan rings Nie’s door bell to give her a thank you gift for her daily breakfast. She rushes to put on a facial mask and sprains her ankle. As he carries her to the sofa, he recognizes her shampoo scent. Nie rejects his gift when he says it was chosen by Jin. Zhen Nian has to attend a social function. Nie makes Zhao go to the same function with her because Yan is there.

Episode 15

Yan is at the function as he is interested in a piece of land owned by Mr. Liao’s Hengji Real Estate. Mr. Liao is a tango fan and met his wife through the dance. Yan asks Jin to approach Mr. Liao. But Jin sprains her ankle while talking to Nie. Yan ends up dancing with Nie to impress Mr. Liao. During the dance, Nie requests for a transfer back to the President’s Office for her effort. Yan agrees.

Zhao and Zhen Nian have a tiff again when they meet. When he steps on the hem of her dress, she screams molest to embarrass him. Mr. Liao is impressed with Yan and Nie’s tango moves. He welcomes Yan’s interest in his land. During the dance, Nie avoids being stepped on during a move because she knows Yan always make that mistake. When Yan questions her, she admits that they used to be lovers. Yan says he will investigate their relationship.

Yan is getting interested in his neighbor and Nie has to suffer inconveniences to avoid him. Zhao is again making fun of Zhen Nian during a commercial shoot and she retaliates. Yan invites Nie for dinner at his place. She puts on a mask again to hide her identity. But Yan has a sense of familiarity with her and they enjoy their time together. Being told that she works for Yatai, Yan goes to the company to find out more about her. But he learns that she is not their staff.

Yan lets Nie handle the Heshan project whereby they have to compete for Mr. Liao’s land with other companies. But during the bidding meeting, Xuhui has stolen their project ideas and Bojue has to withdraw. Nie is suspected to be the spy.

Episode 16

Nie is being investigated. She will prove her innocence to Yan within 5 days failing which she will voluntarily resign. Nie waits to see Mr. Liao at his office but he refuses to see her. So, she goes to his residence and bumps into his wife, who is suffering from Alzheimer’s, wandering around alone. While awaiting Mr. Liao to pick her up, Mrs. Liao talks to Nie about her past and the direction to her old house.

Nie can see that Mr. Liao loves his wife very much and learns the significance of their old house. Mr. Liao thanks Nie for her help but will not change his mind about Xuhui until he sees proof. Early the next morning, Nie goes to Mr. Liao’s old house but gets stuck there due to rain. Yan looks for her and they have to spend the night there. He believes Nie that they were lovers before. He also has a photo of them in his wallet. The next morning, she tells him they should turn the place into a romantic spot. Yan agrees to the idea and asks her to take charge of the project. As Nie has been busy, Yan couldn’t find his neighbor at home.

Just before Mr. Liao sells the land to Xuhui, Yan invites him to visit his old house. He finds his wife there who is happy to be back. Nie informs him of their plan for the place. Mr. Liao ends up selling the land to Yan. Nie is back at work and Yan apologizes for misunderstanding her. But he is still unwilling to recognize her as his girlfriend as he is thinking of his neighbor.

Zhao drops by to visit Nie. Yan finds out that a man is in her apartment and is feeling restless.

Episode 17

Yan rings Nie’s door bell and demands that she opens the door. He finds Zhao in her apartment and her secret is exposed. Yan becomes angry for being lied to and treated like a fool. He refuses to listen to Nie’s explanation. At work, other departments’ staff still find it hard to trust Nie as the spy has not been caught. They demand that she excuses herself from a meeting. Zhao is dissatisfied with Yan’s failure to support Nie. He warns Yan that he will regret when he recovers his memory.

Nie quarrels with Yan for not trusting her and being made a scapegoat. She says that she will quit. Jin comforts her and hears her lamenting her fate. But it is all a show as they already suspect Jin to be the spy for Xuhui due to a tiny difference between Xuhui and Bojue’s project report given to Mr. Liao. Jin is caught red-handed trying to download documents from their computers.

Nie uses the couple communication device to send a message to Yan. He is about to ring her door bell but changes his mind to visit Dr. Han instead. He wants to know everything about his relationship with Nie. Yan re-appoints Nie as his chief secretary. Zhao comes to congratulate her and purposely makes Yan jealous.

Tong Xin drops by to see Dr. Han who is with his father. They go for a meal. His mother comes along and assumes Tong Xin is Dr. Han’s girlfriend. Zhao finds a hidden camera in Zhen Nian’s changing room. Nie gives Yan a peck to help him recollect the past. But he claims to have no feelings and needs a deeper kiss.

Episode 18

Zhen Nian thanks Zhao for the hidden camera incident. He asks her for a dinner treat as repayment. Yan and Nie is happy at the progress of their relationship. But a fire at their project site with bloodied victims cause Yan to feel dizzy. Fragments of a past experience float in his mind. Nie pushes him away when some bricks fall but ends up getting hit on the head herself.

As Nie lays unconscious, Yan’s more recent memory is restored. But he still cannot remember his first relationship with Nie. When Nie awakes, she couldn’t remember him temporarily due to her concussion. But Yan now knows how it feels to be forgotten. Dr. Han has managed to find out a bit more about Yan’s memory loss. It is caused by emotional damage and love will bring disorder to his nerves to make him lose his memory. Hence, when he indulges in love, the memory loss can occur again and again. Yan feels that it will be cruel for Nie to be with him. But Nie doesn’t know his true situation and feels disappointed that he is keeping away from her.

Nie tests Yan out by going missing from her bed. It is obvious that he cares for her. Yan has no choice but to tell Nie about his memory loss problem. She wants to stay with him but he resists the idea. Tong Xin admits to Nie that she can’t let go of Dr. Han. Nie advises her to confess her feelings to him.

Nie recovers and returns to work. Yan has gone on a business trip with Zhao to avoid Nie. She uses a blind date her mother wants to set up for her to make Yan jealous.

Episode 19

Tong Xin asks Dr. Han out for a dinner date. It is her birthday. But Dr. Bai calls midway through their dinner to say that she has been scratched by an e-bike. Dr. Han sends her to the hospital. Tong Xin is disappointed that her dinner date is ruined.

Yan rushes back from his business trip to spoil Nie’s blind date. Nie is secretly elated that her plan to make Yan jealous works. They talk things over and Nie is firm about her decision to be with Yan no matter what happens. The thing that she regrets most is leaving him 5 years ago. Yan is afraid that she will regret her decision but Nie doesn’t want to give up the current happiness in their sight. They hug and reconcile.

Zhen Nian books a hotpot restaurant to treat Zhao as promised. They enjoy each other’s company. But Zhen Nian gets surrounded by fans after exiting the restaurant. Zhao drags her and they run together to escape her fans. He offers her his sneakers to replace her high heels and go barefooted instead. Zhen Nian is beginning to see him differently.

Nie records her time together with Yan so that he will know who she is if he loses his memory again. But she still avoids physical intimacy with him. Nie asks Yan’s mother about his childhood experience. His mother attempted suicide once by slashing her wrist due to marriage problems but she didn’t know that it has create a deep psychological impact on her son. Yan accepts treatment to try to cure his memory loss. But it means time away from work. Nie helps him to take over his workload. But she becomes exhausted and falls asleep at the wheel.

Episode 20

Nie is not hurt from the accident but it gives Yan a real scare. Dr. Han asks Nie about Tong Xin who has not contacted him for a few days. Nie tells him that the proactive partner in a relationship can also get tired after a while. Dr. Han wonders if Tong Xin is tired of being his fan.

Yan can see that Nie is extremely tired because of him. He decides to get Zhen Nian’s help. News of Yan with Zhen Nian then goes viral. They pretend to be close to each other to hurt Nie. Yan doesn’t want Nie to regret and waste her time and affections on him. Zhao asks Zhen Nian not to meddle in Yan and Nie’s relationship but she purposely irritates him instead.

Nie tries to talk to Yan but they end up quarreling. Yan says that he wants to lead a normal life and doesn’t want to keep losing his memory. He proceeds to tear the writings in his diary which detail his moments with her. They are not on talking terms in the office until Mrs. Liao passes away. Mr. Liao mentions that the one who forgets could be more pained that the one who remembers.

After reading Yan’s diary which he has patched up, Nie decides to leave him and the city. Yan writes that he has purposely done things to make Nie give up on him as he loves her deeply and doesn’t want to hurt her with his memory loss. He also doesn’t want to forget Nie. Life goes on after Nie left. Yan continues with his treatment. A reflection from a mirror while he is at a cafe triggers some flashbacks of Nie.

Episode 21

Yan remembers his relationship with Nie from 5 years ago. He looks for her at their usual haunts but couldn’t find her. Finally, he asks Zhao who lets him know that Nie has gone back to her hometown.

Dr. Han misses Tong Xin who has not been in contact. He waits for her and sees her going for lunch with her colleagues. They tell her to put on a show that she is dating her co-worker. Dr. Han feels disappointed that Tong Xin has found someone else. His mother doesn’t believe that Tong Xin has no feelings for her son. She tells him not to misunderstand Tong Xin as there is a difference between chasing idols and reality.

Yan goes to Sashi to look for Nie but finds out that she and her family have gone to visit relatives in a remote area. He makes his way there after much effort. They are surprised to see him when he shows up. Yan explains to Nie that he has managed to get back his memory. Although he might lose it again, he wouldn’t be lost as long as she is by his side. However, her father is not happy with Yan as he knows Yan has hurt her.

Nie is undecided about Yan but is touched when she sees the recordings on his phone in which he speaks of his life without her. News of Zhen Nian’s cosmetic surgery become viral. Her popularity nosedives. When she appears before the media and angry fans, Zhao protects her from being pelted. Nie’a father purposely bullies Yan. But when Nie’s grandmother falls down the stairs, Yan helps her with his first-aid knowledge. Nie’s father changes his attitude towards him. Yan tells Nie that he will not only take care her but also her family.

Episode 22

Nie’s father discovers from his friend that Yan had paid for his $1 million loan previously. He talks to Yan about it and plans to repay him. But Yan explains about his memory loss 5 years ago. Her father hopes Yan will treat his daughter well to which Yan promises he will do so. Nie agrees to return to work with Yan.

Zhao sets up Zhen Nian at a hotel to avoid the paparazzi. They sleep together again but this time, begins dating as a couple. Zhen Nian puts up a clip to defend herself from the gossips. Nie asks Dr. Han about Yan’s ailment. Although Dr. Han can’t guarantee that Yan wouldn’t lose his memory again, Nie is willing to take the risk to be with him.

Nie meets up with her ex-colleagues as she doesn’t want it to seem awkward if she suddenly re-joins the company. Yan drops by during their karaoke session and creates the opportunity to get Nie re-hired. But his staff criticize Nie’s mysterious boyfriend. After the karaoke session, reporters swarmed Nie to ask her about her relationship with Zhao as he is now dating Zhen Nian. This forces Yan to announce that he is Nie’s boyfriend which surprises everyone.

Yan and Nie are in the dark that Zhao and Zhen Nian are dating. They meet each other to talk about their situation. Nie and Zhen Nian become friends. Dr. Bai confesses her love for Dr. Han but gets rejected. Dr. Han finally realizes that he loves Tong Xin. He asks her to meet him and when she turns up, he sings her a song to confess his feelings. Tong Xin is surprised and delighted. Yan wants to propose to Nie but is short of ideas until he sees a place on her laptop.

Episode 23

Yan prepares a grand proposal for Nie at a theme park and fantasizes about it. But on the day of the proposal, they come across a site that Nie finds beautiful while on the way to the park. Yan is unwilling to wait and proposes to her on the spot which she accepts. They are already kissing passionately as they enter the door. But as things get hot, Yan suddenly stops and says that he has a video conference call scheduled which leaves Nie bewildered.

The next morning, Nie goes to work to find that Yan has gone on a business trip. Nie is disappointed that he is avoiding her. She learns that he is afraid he will forget her again if they are intimate through his diary. Nie goes to look for Yan at the hotel and tries to seduce him. But he avoids being intimate again and she has to head home as his mother wants to see her. Ms. Ye wants to meet Nie’s parents to discuss their wedding.

When Yan returns from his business trip, Nie seduces him again. She tells him that she knows what he is thinking as she has read his diary and pleads with him not to reject her. They sleep together that night and Yan didn’t lose his memory the next morning. Their parents meet and agree to their wedding plans. But Yan and Nie end up quarreling over the wedding arrangements as he wants a perfect wedding while she needs him to lower his standards. But they talk things over and resolve their disagreement.

All the department staff as well as Dr. Han and Zhao are involved in their wedding as bridesmaids and groomsmen as they revel in the happy occasion.

Episode 24

The wedding ceremony completes. The bride throws the bouquet. Zhen Nian ducks and the bouquet lands with Tong Xin. Dr. Han’s mother is excited and wants to select a date for them already. Zhao asks Zhen Nian why she ducks. Her reply is because nobody is going to propose to her anyway and hence, it is better to leave it to someone else. Zhao proceeds to propose to her then but gets rejected.

Yan and Nie return from their honeymoon. Director Huang asks Nie to help out as they are late in submitting a report to Yan. But Yan is more lenient now because he is afraid Nie will punish him if he is too harsh towards her staff. On the other hand, it is Nie who has become more demanding which scares Director Huang! Yan and Nie are enjoying the honeymoon phase of their marriage with secret displays of affections in the office.

Zhao seeks Nie’s advice as he has proposed to Zhen Nian 3 times but keeps getting rejected. Nie feels that he is not giving a sense of security to Zhen Nian and should be patient. Yan is elated when Nie falls pregnant. He tells everyone in the office which makes Nie feels awkward with their excessive care. She is angry with Yan at first but then realizes that it feels good to share her happiness with others.

One year later, Yan and Nie have a baby son while Zhao and Zhen Nian are his godparents. Nie is hard at work while Yan takes a year’s leave to take care of their baby. Tong Xin is married to Dr. Han and in the late stages of pregnancy. Zhen Nian finally agrees to marry Zhao.
