Ju Jing Yi and Joseph Zeng have worked together before in Rebirth For You back in 2021. A few years have gone by and now, they are back together for another drama entitled Veil Of Shadows (月鳞绮纪). Filming have started in December 2024 with all the cast members having been announced. Included in the line-up is Chen Du Ling and Tian Jia Rui who is the actor in Fangs Of Fortune. The drama is being produced by Youku.
The story is about a group of people getting together to protect the peace from heart-digging monsters. However, this group of people have varying motives. Hence, they have to learn to trust and work together to defeat the villain.
Will There Be Praises For Ju Jing Yi In Her New Drama?
While Ju Jing Yi has a lot of fans, there are also are many critics. She is often lambasted for her stereotypical roles. Some even mocked her acting skills especially her emotional scenes. Veil Of Shadows will give her the opportunity to show her acting talent and shut her critics up. She is naturally beautiful which already makes her ideal for her role as a fox demon in this new drama. While she needs to be cunning as a fox demon, she must also show the contradiction of being kind and compassionate. This role may be more demanding but if Ju Jing Yi could seize the opportunity, it will definitely earn her more fans.
Joseph Zeng needs no introduction. He has got pretty good compliments for his roles in Mysterious Lotus Casebook and Ultimate Note. Joseph Zeng also has an upcoming drama with Bai Lu, Feud, which should be broadcast this year as filming has been completed in August 2024.
