Episode 1

Xia Ke is the boss of a gaming company called TIG. He is young and capable but can be demanding as a superior. Many girls have an eye on him but he doesn’t show much interest. Xing Yun is an animation artist in Xia Ke’s company. She is his first employee when he starts up his business. At present, TIG is about to start on a new project that involves a virtual game with a love theme. However, no good ideas are forthcoming from the Planning Department. Hence, every employee is invited to submit ideas for the project.

Xing Yun is interested in the project but have no experience in love. So, Xia Ke dares her to find a man who is willing to date her first before she should even think of getting involved in the project. Hence, Xing Yun agrees to go on a blind date with Chu Nan. After the first meeting, Xia Ke helps Xing Yun types out a message to set up a second date and finds out her date is Chu Nan.

Episode 2

Chu Nan turns out to be Xia Ke’s sister’s ex-boyfriend. His sister is Shen Qing. They broke up because Chu Nan’s parents are against the relationship since Shen Qing is a divorcee with a kid. While shopping in a lingerie store for her up-coming date, Xing Yun and her co-worker, Xu Yiyi, bump into Xia Ke who is accompanying Shen Qing. They think Shen Qing is Xia Ke’s girlfriend. At the same time, Xia Ke tells Shen Qing that Xing Yun is Chu Nan’s new girlfriend.

Chu Nan brings Xing Yun home to meet his parents for their date. It makes her uncomfortable as they begin to talk about marriage and kids with her. Xia Ke calls her in the middle of their dinner and demands for a report to be emailed to him. So, she seizes the opportunity to escape from Chu Nan’s parents by saying that she will bring the report to him. Chu Nan sees Xing Yun off in front of his house. Shen Qing is nearby to check them out. Chu Nan sees Shen Qing and they end up going for a drink. Chu Nan even ignores Xing Yun’s call.

On the way to meet Xia Ke, Xing Yun nearly got abducted by human traffickers. She ends up in a police station with a sprained ankle. When Xia Ke goes to see Xing Yun at the police station, he is anxious about her safety. She also clings to him and cries. While being carried to the car, Xing Yun misinterprets Xia Ke’s intentions and actions which lead to much embarrassment for her. To top it off, she couldn’t get into her house because her bag has been stolen. So, she ends up going to Xia Ke’s house. Xia Ke helps her with her sprained ankle.

Episode 3

Xing Yun sleeps in Xia Ke’s house. The next morning, Shen Qing comes by with her son, Xiaoxi, to find them hiding in the closet. Since Xing Yun thinks Xia Ke and Shen Qing is a couple, she tries to explain to Shen Qing that there is nothing between her and Xia Ke. Xing Yun also tells Shen Qing that she already has a boyfriend. Shen Qing also finds out from Xia Ke that Chu Nan is still regularly bringing Xiaoxi out for pizza.

Xing Yun mistakenly tells the whole office that Xia Ke has a girlfriend and an illegitimate child. She fears she will be fired but instead, Xia Ke instructs her to work from home due to her sprained ankle. During a video call to instruct Xing Yun about work, Chu Nan comes by to visit. She forgets to get off the call as she rushes to meet Chu Nan. Her parents assume Xing Yun spent the night at Chu Yan’s house that night and that he is responsible for her injury. Chu Yan plays along to keep Xing Yun’s secret although he is clueless about what happened. After dinner, Xing Yun and Chu Nan go to her room for a chat. The call with Xia Ke is still on as he listens in to their conversation.

Episode 4

Chu Nan trusts Xing Yun when she explains to him that she had spent the night in Xia Ke’s house. Chu Nan proposes to Xing Yun on impulse when he sees Shen Qing with another man. Xing Yun rejects him because they have just started dating for a month. Chu Nan tells Xing Yun that it is okay and that they should forget about it. Xia Ke finds out about the proposal when he interrogates Xing Yun about her spending company time on a wedding photo shoot. She is at the photo shoot because her cousin is getting married.

The whole company is going on an annual trip at a resort. Xing Yun invites Chu Nan to come along. Coincidentally, Shen Qing is also at the resort for a business meeting. They all bump into each other. Later, it is revealed that Xia Ke and Shen Qing are siblings when he calls her “sister”. When Chu Nan arrives, tension is in the air when Xing Yun introduces him to Xia Ke and Shen Qing. However, they claim not to know each other. At night, Xia Ke sends a drunk Shen Qing back to her room. He bumps into Xing Yun with make-up on as her co-workers encourage her to look pretty for Chu Nan.

Episode 5

Xia Ke tells Xing Yun that she looks ugly. Xing Yun also feels uncomfortable with her looks and reverts to being herself. In their suite, Chu Nan tries to create a romantic atmosphere. He leans in to kiss Xing Yun but backs off at the last minute. Xing Yun feels awkward while Chu Nan has Shen Qing on his mind. Xing Yun gets out of the room and goes for a walk but she bumps into Xia Ke. They talk by the pool. Xia Ke asks Xing Yun if she really loves Chu Nan. He pretends to kiss her. Since she didn’t push him away, Xia Ke tells Xing Yun that perhaps she doesn’t love Chu Nan after all. If she does, she would have avoided Xia Ke’s kiss.

While Xing Yun is out of the room, Chu Nan and Shen Qing meet each other in the corridor. Xia Ke sees them kissing and when Xing Yun is about to turn the corner, he prevents her from witnessing the incident. Later, an emergency arises when Xiaoxi injures his legs after a fall. Shen Qing rushes to the hospital with Chu Nan. Chu Nan gives an excuse to Xing Yun that something has cropped up in his family to get away with Shen Qing. At the hospital, Chu Nan pleads with his mother who is a surgeon to treat Xiaoxi. Chu Nan’s mother begins to take a liking to Xiaoxi after taking care of him. Xia Ke is worried that Xing Yun would be depressed if she learns about Chu Nan and Shen Qing.

Episode 6

Xing Yun takes Xia Ke’s computer to the hospital on his secretary’s behalf. Xia Ke tries to prevent Xing Yun from bumping into Chu Nan while she is there but is unsuccessful. So, Chun Nan lies to Xing Yun that his brother is sick. He is also quietly helping Shen Qing with her bakery business while she takes care of her son.

Chu Nan’s mother is still against his relationship with Shen Qing. At the hospital, Shen Qing overhears his mother mentioning about Chu Nan’s plan to propose to Xing Yun. Feeling depressed, Shen Qing starts drinking at a restaurant and calls Xia Ke to pick her up. At the same time, Chu Nan invites Xing Yun to a wedding dress outlet. While Chu Nan is busy talking to the staff, his phone rings. Xing Yun recognizes the number as Xia Ke’s. She picks up the phone. Xia Ke immediately scolds Chu Nan to either pick up a drunk Shen Qing or choose Xing Yun.

Xing Yun is shocked and numbly repeats to Chu Nan what Xia Ke has said. Chu Nan rushes to Shen Qing. Xing Yun arrives later to see them hugging on the opposite side of the road. Xia Ke sees Xing Yun standing there and blocks her view with an umbrella. Xing Yun gets angry with Xia Ke for keeping quiet about his sister’s relationship with Chu Nan. Chu Nan drags Shen Qing to see his mother. He declares that he had planned to marry Xing Yun and then get a divorce so that he would then also be a divorcee like Shen Qing. Shen Qing slaps him for being so mean and leaves. Later, Xing Yun tells Chu Nan that they should break up as they are not really in a relationship.

Episode 7

Xing Yun is still angry with Xia Ke and ignores him. When she faces problems getting the required cooperation from other departments for her project, Xia Ke quietly helps her. Once Xing Yun finds out what Xia Ke has done, their relationship returns to normal. Chu Nan still has feelings for Shen Qing. His mother tells him that she wouldn’t care anymore about his relationship with Shen Qing. However, Shen Qing is unwilling to get back together with Chu Nan. Shen Qing feels that the reason Chu Nan’s mother treats Xiaoxi is to make Shen Qing owe her a debt. And that debt is to be repaid by leaving Chu Nan.

Shen Qing’s ex, Ling Shan, finds out that Xiaoxi is his biological son through a DNA test. Xing Yun’s cousin brings her to a karaoke after learning about her breakup with Chu Nan. Feeling tired, she falls asleep. When she wakes up, her cousin is gone but she bumps into Xia Ke’s friend, He Yu. He Yu is a little drunk and tries to get Xing Yun to accompany him to sing. Xing Yun knocks him on the head with a microphone to escape and He Yu ends up complaining to Xia Ke.

Episode 8

Xing Yun leaves behind her phone at the karaoke in her haste to escape. Her parents are worried about her as they learn about her breakup from her cousin but couldn’t contact her. They ask Chu Nan to come over. When Xing Yun arrives home, she feels bad to have troubled Chu Nan. But they are still friends and Xing Yun can see how much Chu Nan loves Shen Qing. Chu Nan tells Xing Yun that he will continue to wait for Shen Qing.

Ling Shan makes contact with Shen Qing to see their son. Ling Shan was involved in a car accident while supposedly racing with Xia Ke. He injured his legs and then simply left her. Shen Qing has no more feelings for Ling Shan. Xiaoxi calls Chu Nan and tells Chu Nan that his biological father is back.

Jiawo, which is an advertising company, has a business relationship with TIG and He Yu is its project manager. After the being hit on the head by Xing Yun, He Yu tells Xia Ke that he only wants to deal with Xing Yun for their joint project. So, while Xia Ke goes on a business trip, he assigns Xing Yun to help He Yu. Being a playful person, He Yu takes the opportunity to play tricks on Xing Yun. Xing Yun gets mad and takes it out on Xia Ke during a phone call. But she makes it up to Xia Ke later by booking a surprise tour for him during his trip.

Episode 9

Xing Yun’s intention is to get Xia Ke to buy her a manga figurine from a shop 2 hours away from his hotel. Xia Ke refuses her request. During a meal, Xia Ke bumps into Yao Qing, an old friend and He Yu’s colleague. Yao Qing has feelings for Xia Ke. She ends up in his hotel room to clean up after a fight with 2 drunkards. Amy, Xia Ke’s secretary, happens to call him and the phone is picked up by Yao Qing. She tells Xu Yuyi and Xing Yun about it the next day.

Xing Yun plays a trick back on He Yu as revenge. He gets mad and tells her to treat him dinner as compensation. But He Yu is finding Xing Yun to be adorable. After a foul-up at a promotional event for a client, He Yu is called by his boss to the office and misses the dinner appointment with Xing Yun. He Yu is touched when she waited for him in rainy weather. He asks Xing Yun to be his girlfriend and starts sending her flowers.

Ling Shan wants to reconcile with Shen Qing but is rejected. Xia Ke seems to be questioning himself if he has feelings for Xing Yun all along. He did buy her what she requested and also a lucky cat figurine. Xia Ke returns back to the office and sees the flowers sent by He Yu. He is angry but Xing Yun tells him that she has not agreed to be He Yu’s girlfriend. She just doesn’t want to offend He Yu as instructed by Xia Ke earlier since TIG and Jiawo have a business relationship. Xia Ke tells Xing Yun to retrieve her gift from his car but it turns out to be the lucky cat figurine.

Episode 10

He Yu continues to woo Xing Yun but she isn’t interested. Xia Ke keeps making it hard for He Yu by calling Xing Yun out for meetings and decreasing He Yu’s chance to meet and successfully woo her. However, He Yu isn’t giving up either. He asks Xia Ke if Xia Ke is also in love with Xing Yun. If not, Xia Ke shouldn’t get involved in his pursuit of her. If yes, then let it be a fair competition between them.

Ling Shan continues to see Xiaoxi and Shen Qing. Xia Ke sees Ling Shan and Shen Qing together one night when he sends his nephew back home. Xia Ke hits Ling Shan. Shen Qing asks her brother to stop. She says that she knows it must be their grandmother and Xia Ke who planned the accident and forced Ling Shan to leave her back then. Xia Ke keeps quiet and leaves the scene. Ling Shan tells Shen Qing that he wants her and their son back together as a family. Shen Qing doesn’t seem to be keen.

Yao Qing is recalled back from Shanghai to help He Yu with the project with TIG. This gives her the opportunity to see Xia Ke. At TIG’s office, Yao Qing sees the lucky cat figurine on Xing Yun’s desk and recalls that Xia Ke bought it during his trip to Shanghai.

Episode 11

Xia Ke is in a bad mood knowing that Ling Shan is back. He drinks with He Yu until he is drunk. He Yu calls Xing Yun to come by to send Xia Ke home together. Xing Yun is also informed by He Yu that Xia Ke saw Ling Shan cheating with another woman back then. Xia Ke gave chase in his car which caused the accident. Their wealthy grandmother wanted Ling Shan to leave Shen Qing. Ling Shan agreed after asking for and getting a payoff. Xia Ke has never revealed this to Shen Qing as he doesn’t want to hurt her.

He Yu is still unsuccessful in chasing after Xing Yun. He shares with Yao Qing that he isn’t sure of Xing Yun’s feelings. Yao Qing is also encouraged to express her love for Xia Ke. Shen Qing is still angry with Xia Ke as she has always blamed her brother for causing the breakup of her family. So, Xia Ke uses Xiaoxi to pass a message to Shen Qing asking for them to meet. Ling Shan spoils the plan when he asks his son about Xia Ke’s message. Thus, the meeting did not happen as Ling Shan hides Xia Ke’s message from Shen Qing.

Chu Nan, who works in a bank, gets a colleague to check on Ling Shan. He finds out that Ling Shan has borrowed a vast amount of money from the bank and is unable to repay.

Episode 12

He Yu meets Xing Yun on the pretext of work at a mall. They see Ling Shan going into a jewelry store and buys a ring before calling Shen Qing for a meet up. He Yu and Xing Yun follow Ling Shan and Shen Qing to a restaurant. Xing Yun informs Chu Nan and Xia Ke about Ling Shan’s intention and where to find them. Just as Ling Shan proposes to Shen Qing, Xing Yun rushes in and tells Shen Qing not to accept and wait for Xia Ke’s explanation. Anyway, Shen Qing rejects Ling Shan’s proposal and informs him that she only has Chu Nan in her heart now. Chu Nan is overjoyed to hear Shen Qing’s words as he listens in at the door.

Xia Ke arrives and explains to Shen Qing what happened in the past. They finally reconcile. Then, Shen Qing receives a call that Ling Shan has picked up Xiaoxi from the kindergarten. Xia Ke and Xing Yun as well as Chu Nan and Shen Qing give chase in 2 cars by tracking down Ling Shan’s location through Xiaoxi’s watch. They manage to stop Ling Shan and get back Xiaoxi. Ling Shan only wants money from Shen Qing’s grandmother by kidnapping Xiaoxi as he is heavily in debt.

Shen Qing agrees to marry Chu Nan. She also suspects that her brother has feelings for Xing Yun and the friendly competition between He Yu and Xia Ke heats up for the girl. All of a sudden, TIG’s settings for a promotional deal for their online game handled by Jiawo has been changed and the company is at risk of losing money.

Episode 13

As it turns out, the change in settings is a ruse by He Yu with the help of Yao Qing to get back at their boss for having a sinister motive. The promotional deal is a success. Xia Ke admits to Shen Qing that he has feelings for Xing Yun and gets some love advice. He Yu continues to pursue Xing Yun but she has no interest in a romantic relationship with him.

On her birthday, Yao Qing tells Xia Ke that she would wait for him to have dinner together. But Xia Ke merely asks his staff to buy a gift for Yao Qing and bring it to the restaurant on his behalf. Yao Qing is disappointed. He Yu sees Xing Yun at a coffee shop and helps her to get out of a sticky situation. They end up having dinner together. He Yu unintentionally spills the beans that once, Xia Ke pretended to ask Xing Yun to send a report to him. This is the time when she nearly got kidnapped. This makes Xing Yun really mad and she keeps drinking until she is drunk.

Chu Nan who happens to be at the restaurant calls Shen Qing who tells Xia Ke. When Xia Ke arrives, he finds Xing Yun outside the toilet while He Yu is waiting at the table. He tries to help Xing Yun up but when someone knocks into him, he gets too close and couldn’t resist briefly kissing her. As they stand up, she takes the initiative in her drunken state to kiss Xia Ke back. They are still at it when He Yu comes to check on Xing Yun. He Yu solemnly tells Xia Ke that he isn’t playing fair. Xia Ke quietly leaves and lets He Yu sends Xing Yun home.

Episode 14

Xing Yun mistakenly thinks that the man that she kissed the night before is He Yu. At the same time, He Yu purposely did not clear the confusion. He gives Xing Yun a week to decide on the status of their relationship. Xia Ke is also trying very hard to convince Xing Yun that the man she kissed is the one she should be choosing. He doesn’t know that Xing Yun mistakenly believes she kissed He Yu.

He Yu is secretly arranging for a big surprise to ask Xing Yun to be his girlfriend for the upcoming company’s party. Xia Ke gets wind of it and gives an order to all staff to exclude Xing Yun from the party. However, on that day, Xia Ke comes by to pick up Xing Yun. When she learns that there is a party and she has been excluded, she gets angry at Xia Ke. They quarrel and Xing Yun stomps off the party. He Yu gives chase and sends her home. He reminds Xing Yun about the one week deadline. Xing Yun rejects He Yu and says that she has some other man on her mind.

Xia Ke assumes the worst. Yao Qing keeps him company while he gets drunk. Xia Ke finally realizes how much he loves Xing Yun. He gets Shen Qing to pick him up from the bar. Shen Qing calls Xing Yun the next day and tells her to drop by to take care of Xia Ke as he is sick. So, Xing Yun goes to his house. As Xia Ke tries to confess his feelings, the phone rings. An emergency has cropped up at work as Xing Yun is suspected to be leaking company secrets.

Episode 15

Xia Ke suspends Xing Yun while an investigation is underway. Xing Yun is upset that Xia Ke doesn’t trust her. He Yu comes by her house to show her support while Xia Ke is busy handling the leak and investigating who might be the real culprit. Yao Qing tries to help Xia Ke but she knows his mind is constantly on Xing Yun.

Xu Yiyi fears she might have inadvertently leak the information when she was in contact with a magazine editor. Feeling guilty, she informs Xing Yun and then Xia Ke. Since Xu Yiyi has no ulterior motive, she is relieved when Xia Ke lets her remain in the company. Xing Yun also starts to do some probing on her own of who might have betrayed TIG.

Shen Qing purposely asks for Xing Yun’s help in delivering some cakes to create an opportunity for her brother to talk to Xing Yun. Xia Ke tells Xing Yun that he trusts her and her suspension is just to make the culprit lower their guard. A chit-chat with the customer jolts Xing Yun’s memory that someone in TIG has bought a new luxury car recently. Xing Yun and Xia Ke follow that lead and finds out the new car owner is Dong Dong, TIG’s programmer.

Episode 16

Xing Yun suddenly finds that Xia Ke has changed and not as cold as before. He Yu notices that Xing Yun looks happy when she is with Xia Ke. He shares with Yao Qing his disappointment. Although they have caught Dong Dong, the investor’s representative is still not happy with Xing Yun for the leak scandal. He was embarrassed when asked to apologize to Xing Yun earlier for erroneously accusing her. Being petty, he is withholding investment funds into TIG until Xia Ke fires Xing Yun.

Being short of funds, the payment of staff salary becomes delayed. Xing Yun knows the pressure that Xia Ke is facing and the effect on the company. So, she tenders her resignation but it is rejected by Xia Ke who assures her that he will handle the matter. He Yu helps Xing Yun out by claiming that they are now dating and her decision to resign is personal. When Xu Yiyi and Amy question Xing Yun about her relationship with He Yu, she has a prepared answer to convince them why they are dating and that marrying He Yu is a good thing as there would be no work pressure. Xia Ke is around the corner and overhears their conversation.

Episode 17

Xing Yun formally tenders her resignation to Xia Ke. As coached by He Yu, she declares that she loves He Yu so that Xia Ke will not feel guilty of letting her go and accepting the investor’s money. However, Xia Ke terminated the contract with the investor instead. He sold off his personal assets to tie the company over. Due to staff resignations and inadequacies in their online game, TIG temporarily suspends its server as they try to relaunch. While Yao Qing is quietly trying to help Xia Ke to get a new investor, He Yu is feeling bad that he has not been entirely honest with Xing Yun. He didn’t tell her that Xia Ke refuses the investor’s funds and that TIG is in a bad shape.

On He Yu’s birthday, the 4 of them end up going for a ferris wheel ride. Yao Qing tells them of a belief that if a couple kisses at the highest point of the ride, they would be together forever. Xia Ke pulls Xing Yun into the cabin with him before He Yu could react. When Xia Ke kisses Xing Yun, she feels an odd familiarity and responds. After the ride, she asks Xia Ke if he is the one whom she kissed while at the restaurant. Xia Ke didn’t reply and walks away when he sees He Yu geting down behind them.

Yao Qing advises He Yu that love means wishing them happiness. She also reveals to Xing Yun what has been happening in TIG. Xing Yun rushes to see Xia Ke. She explains that He Yu is not her boyfriend and that she wants to come back to help him at TIG. She also admits that she misses him.

Episode 18

Yao Qing tells He Yu that they should be relieved if Xia Ke and Xing Yun are happy together. Feeling forlorn, they end up drunk and sleep with each other. The next morning, Yao Qing pretends that nothing has happened while He Yu questions his own feelings for Yao Qing. Xing Yun goes back to work at TIG but tells Xia Ke that they should concentrate on their jobs rather than getting involved in a relationship at this critical juncture for the company. Many personnel have resigned and TIG is still looking for a new investor.

Xing Yun goes to ask Yao Qing about TIG’s condition and informs her that she is not dating Xia Ke at the moment. However, she admits that she has feelings for Xia Ke and this is overheard by He Yu. Xia Ke sells his property to fund TIG and Xing Yun sees him sleeping in the office. So, she rents her neighbour’s empty apartment and convinces Xia Ke to live there. She cooks up a story that her neighbour wants someone to look after the house while she is away. Xing Yun’s mother is aware of what Xing Yun has done but not her father who is on the verge of finding out who has moved in next door.

Episode 19

Xing Yun is able to hide just in time as her father opens the door. But her father is still suspicious especially when her mother keeps preparing meals for her to take to Xia Ke. Eventually, Xing Yun’s father finds out the truth but her mother persuades him to calm down and to let their daughter handles her own matters. Xia Ke manages to sweet talk Xing Yun into a committed relationship and not to worry about TIG. As they are kissing, Shen Qing drops by to find Xing Yun in the house with Xia Ke which reveals their relationship.

Xia Ke is still looking for a new investor but the TIG staff is now more committed in their work. Xing Yun is also quietly working during the weekends although she pretends to Xia Ke that she is out shopping. Shen Qing tips off Xia Ke that Xing Yun couldn’t be shopping when she is spending her money on his rental. Yao Qing is seen having dinner with another man which maks He Yu angry. He goes to try to talk to Yao Qing but he doesn’t know how to express himself. He Yu recalls the night he spent with Yao Qing and feels melancholic.

Episode 20

He Yu is at a loss about Yao Qing and seeks out Xing Yun for advice. Xia Ke is jealous that He Yu is asking Xing Yun out for dinner. Xing Yun also wants to keep their romance a secret in the office. A new investment company shows interest in TIG but its owner, Mr. Qin, is always on the move. However, He Yu informs Xing Yun that Mr. Qin’s beloved daughter is running an anime cafe nearby. So, Xing Yun tries to bump into her at the cafe. Eventually, she manages to find out that Mr. Qin is in Las Vegas and Xia Ke rushes there to meet him to try to strike a deal.

He Yu keeps pursuing Yao Qing and tells her that he will bear responsibility for sleeping with her that night. However, Yao Qing feels pressured by He Yu’s seriousness and tells He Yu that he is merely a substitute for Xia Ke when they slept together. He Yu is dejected and says that he will no longer badger her if that is the case. Xing Yun learns from Amy that Xia Ke has not sold his apartment as she assumes. Episode 21

Xing Yun goes to Xia Ke’s apartment with Xu Yiyi and Amy and changes the decorations to a Hello Kitty theme as revenge for letting her assume that he has no place to live. While doing a makeover, they find a picture of the guest room which shows it has been decorated and seems lived in. Xia Ke manages to get Mr. Qin to invest in TIG. Yao Qing resigns from Jiawo. He Yu isn’t able to contact her but finds out from Xia Ke where she has headed.

Xia Ke returns home from Las Vegas to find his house’s decorations have been changed. He explains to Xing Yun that the reason he moves in next door to her is to be close to her. He also casually tells Xing Yun that nobody has lived in his guest room before. When Xing Yun prepares to return the rented house back to the agent, she learns that it has already been quickly taken up by the next tenant.

Mr. Qin sends Zhang Si Rui to work with Xia Ke to do an assessment of TIG. When Xing Yun picks her up from the airport, Xing Yun blurts out that Xia Ke is still single when asked. As it turns out, Zhang Si Rui is Xia Ke’s ex-girlfriend. She still has feelings for him. Xia Ke is not interested and tells Zhang Si Rui clearly that Xing Yun is his girlfriend. When Zhang Si Rui persists, Xia Ke reassures Xing Yun of his feelings.

Episode 22

Zhang Si Rui continues to try to get close to Xia Ke. She sets up a chance meeting with Xia Ke’s grandmother and works her way into her heart. She claims that the reason she broke up with Xia Ke is because she has severe claustrophobia in the past and had to seek treatment. To show that she has the upper hand, Zhang Si Rui lets on that she is close to Xia Ke’s grandmother to Xing Yun. Zhang Si Rui also asks Xia Ke to get back their pet cat and Xing Yun trails them to the pet store. Then, Xing Yun boldly shows her face and drives Zhang Si Rui home on Xia Ke’s behalf.

Knowing Xing Yun is angry, Xia Ke reassures her that he loves her. He didn’t want to tell Xing Yun about his ex-girlfriend because he doesn’t want her to overthink about the matter. He Yu goes looking for Yao Qing and manages to win her over. Yao Qing also tells Xing Yun that Zhang Si Rui broke up with Xia Ke because of his poor public opinion after the accident with Ling Shan.

When Zhang Si Rui is trapped in the lift, Xia Ke simply instructed his staff to send her to the hospital to her disappointment. Zhang Si Rui gives TIG a poor assessment and tells Xia Ke to return to her if he wants her help. Xing Yun pleads with Zhang Si Rui but is told off. Zhang Si Rui says that only she is capable to help Xia Ke and that it is also time for Xia Ke to go and assist his grandmother who is facing declining health rather than toying around with TIG. Worried about his grandmother, Xia Ke goes to a shareholders’ ball to check things out.

Episode 23

Xia Ke’s grandmother has enemies within the company’s board of directors who rather see her retire. Zhang Si Rui purposely invites Xing Yun to the ball. When Xing Yun turns up, Zhang Si Rui pretends to fall and hugs Xia Ke. Xing Yun confidently goes up to Xia Ke and kisses him to show everyone who is his real girlfriend. While Xia Ke and Xing Yun are talking it over outside the ballroom, his grandmother faints and ends up in a coma.

With the infighting at the conglomerate and his grandmother’s poor health, Xia Ke becomes a news target. Xing Yun becomes less confident of their relationship due to Xia Ke’s family’s high social status and rumours of a relationship with Zhang Si Rui. Xia Ke also wants to protect Xing Yun from reporters and gossips which forces him to maintain a distance between them until the matter dies down.

He Yu wants to marry Yao Qing but his actions makes her feel helpless. She begins to understand He Yu’s motivations better after talking to Xia Ke. Borrowing Yao Qing’s car to deceive reporters, Xia Ke goes to see Xing Yun at the office. But she ends up fainting in the lift due to fatigue. Xia Ke sends her to the hospital and leaves to handle his family matters. His grandmother wakes up from her coma and appoints Shen Qing to take over her position. Xia Ke continues to run TIG and signs a deal with Mr. Qin.

Episode 24

During the deal signing ceremony, Xing Yun is unhappy that Zhang Si Rui tries to get in between her and Xia Ke. She gets a little drunk at the party. When Zhang Si Rui is replying to a question about her relationship with Xia Ke, Xing Yun loudly confesses her feelings for him. As Xia Ke carries Xing Yun away, he tells Zhang Si Rui to stay away from his fiancee. Although Zhang Si Rui didn’t give a good recommendation for the deal, Xia Ke bypasses her to send a report directly to Mr. Qin which resulted in their cooperation.

As Xing Yun still has a little reservation about their relationship, Xia Ke seeks advice from Amy and Xu Yiyi about what Xing Yun might be thinking. They suggest that he proposes to her. However, Xing Yun keeps rejecting his proposal as she feels they need to develop their relationship further. Shen Qing tells Xia Ke that what Xing Yun wants is to support and share his burden and not merely being sheltered by him by keeping problems to himself.

Yao Qing finally agrees to marry He Yu after he protects her from a falling ladder. Zhang Si Rui tries to goad Xing Yun about Xia Ke being a much sought-after bachelor but she confidently fends her off. Xing Yun sets Xia Ke up to see if he will share his problems with her. He finally learns to be upfront and trust Xing Yun to be able to handle problems that confront them. Xing Yun decides they should marry on the same day as He Yu and Yao Qing. The drama ends with a wedding and wedded bliss.
