Eternal Love Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms (三生三世十里桃花) was screened way back in 2017 but it has remained popular 3 years later. I should have watched this before Love And Destiny but somehow, I didn’t get the chance to do so until now. With 58 episodes in total, I’m sure some people would be hesitant to give this a go. So, if you are in that category of people, do feel free to check out my Eternal Love Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms review first. But if you have started watching and want to know what will happen next, I have written up the episode summary below to give you a full recap of the drama. Enjoy!

Episode 1

Bai Qian is the youngest daughter of Fox King Bai Zhu of the Nine-Tailed White Fox Clan. But she is a mischievous girl. So, her parents agree to let Zhe Yan to send her to Kunlun Mountain to be Mo Yuan’s disciple. Mo Yuan is the God Of War and Zhe Yan’s brother. However, Mo Yuan only takes in male disciples. Hence, Zhe Yan transforms Bai Qian into a male and names him Si Yin in order to be Mo Yuan’s 17th disciple.

Mo Yuan can see through the pretense but still takes her in as she could wield the powerful Jade Purity Fan when it appears. After 20,000 years of being in Kunlun Mountain, words have spread that Si Yin is Mo Yuan’s favorite disciple. He has a soft spot for Si Yin which invites jealousy from Goddess Yao Guang as the latter has feelings for Mo Yuan. So, Yao Guang kidnaps and locks Si Yin in her underwater dungeon. Mo Yuan saves Si Yin and takes care of her. He also challenges Yao Guang to a battle for kidnapping his disciple. He wins and requests Yao Guang to leave Kunlun Mountain.

Xuan Nu is the younger sister of Bai Xuan’s wife. Si Yin’s brother requests her to shelter Xuan Nu at Kunlun Mountain as she is fleeing from an arranged marriage. Mo Yuan permits her to do so and asks her to put up Xuan Nu at her living quarters. In the meantime, Si Yin has been ordered by Mo Yuan to copy some text as punishment for sneaking into the mortal realm earlier.

Episode 2

There is a golden lotus in the Kunlun Mountain pond. This flower is given by Mo Yuan’s father with the instruction to take care of it until it turns into a human form. Si Yin sneaks away again with her 9th disciple brother, Ling Yu, who is tasked to keep an eye on her. She convinces him to go to Qing Qiu to get a glimpse of Fox King Bai Zhu and Zhe Yan. But on the way there, they are captured by the Ghost Lord Qing Cang. He is planning a rebellion against the Celestial Tribe as he wants the Ghost Tribe to rule the world. Qing Cang purposely wants to adopt Ling Yu as his godson as he knows that they are Mo Yuan’s disciples.

The Celestial Tribe Heavenly Lord is worried about Qing Cang’s ambitions. The Bell Of East Emperor is in Qing Cang’s hands but Dong Hua Dijun reminds the Heavenly Lord that the bell was created by Mo Yuan who should be able to suppress its powers. At the same time, Li Jing, who is Qing Cang’s second son, is against the rebellion while his daughter, Yan Zhi, is interested in Si Yin. She helps Si Yin to escape but the latter runs into Li Jing. He takes a liking for Si Yin but tells Yan Zhi to continue keeping her as a hostage for the time being.

Fellow disciples at Kunlun Mountain are beginning to get worried over Ling Yu and Si Yin’s disappearance. But their master has secluded himself for meditation. Si Yin is to undergo a heavenly trial for ascension soon which could be dangerous. The first granddaughter of Fox King Bai Zhu is born and she is named Bai Feng Jiu. Si Yin is told to go and see Li Jing.

Episode 3

Li Jing knows that Si Yin is a woman and tells her so. He wants them to be friends and promises to help her escape from Ghost Realm. Li Jing also tells Si Yin that her 9th disciple brother will be forced to be his father’s godson soon. Invitations have been sent out and the purpose is to taunt the Celestial Tribe and instigate a war. Mo Yuan becomes aware that Si Yin is in trouble during his meditation. He rushes to the Ghost Realm to save Si Yin and Ling Yu. A fight breaks out between Qing Cang and Mo Yuan.

Li Jing tries to protect Si Yin during the fight. Mo Yuan manages to bring his 2 disciples to safety back to Kunlun Mountain. Li Jing is imprisoned by his father for helping Si Yin. Yan Zhi eventually helps him to escape. Back at Kunlun Mountain, Si Yin’s heavenly trial is ready to start. Mo Yuan seals her behind a barrier and takes the lightning bolts on her behalf for her to clear her trial. Si Yin feels guilty for causing her master to suffer to protect her.

Dijun’s investigations into the Ghost Realm suggests that they should change the Ghost Lord to someone more cooperative. The Celestial Tribe Heavenly Lord feels that they should promote Li Jing to the role as he should be easier to control. After escaping from Ghost Realm, Li Jing makes his way to Kunlun Mountain to see Si Yin. He has fallen for her and confesses his feelings.

Episode 4

Li Jing wants to be together with Si Yin. But it is impossible as they belong to different tribes. When senior disciple, Die Feng, finds out about Li Jing’s presence in Kunlun Mountain, he fights him off. Si Yin and her 9th disciple brother plead with their senior to let Li Jing go as he had saved them earlier. Li Jing escapes to a sealed cave which is guarded by the Lord Of Numinous Treasures. A phoenix with a demonic essence is in the cave. Si Yin helps Li Jing to fight off the phoenix. The Lord Of Numinous Treasures rewards Si Yin with the Cloud Clearing Fan for her effort.

Xuan Nu’s mother come looking for her at Kunlun Mountain to force her into the arranged marriage. But Si Yin gives Xuan Nu’s mother the idea that her senior disciple is a man of status and is a potential suitor for her daughter. So, she gets to stay. But Xuan Nu has always been envious of Si Yin because of her good looks even while she had known her as Bai Qian. She had learned from Zhe Yan then the power to transform her face to look like Si Yin momentarily.

Li Jing remains in the cave at Kunlun Mountain just to see Si Yin. His father disowns him when he hears the news from his eldest son. Xuan Nu is jealous and changes her face to look like Si Yin to sleep with Li Jing. She also keeps telling Li Jing that Si Yin only loves Mo Yuan. Just as when Si Yin begins to develop affections for Li Jing, her senior informs her that he has seen Xuan Nu and Li Jing together. Si Yin rushes to the cave to find them kissing.

Episode 5

Si Yin is heartbroken. Li Jing regrets for leading Si Yin on as their relationship will never be fruitful. He feels unworthy of her. Xuan Nu insists on following Li Jing back to the Ghost Realm after leaving Kunlun Mountain. Mo Yuan comes out early from his seclusion with his injuries not fully healed. He brings Si Yin on a trip to see the Lord Of Numinous Treasures to lift her spirits as he seems to know what is troubling her. Mo Yuan’s task to maintain the Golden Lotus flower is also nearing its end as it almost awakening. Qing Cang is determined to wage a war soon. The Celestial Tribe is making preparations for it although Dijun seems unperturbed.

Back at the Ghost Realm, Qing Cang wants to kill Li Jing for going against him. But Xuan Nu makes a deal with him to help him to break the formation of the Celestial Tribe’s army. In return, she wants a wedding between her and Li Jing. On the wedding night, Li Jing is miserable that the woman he has married is not Si Yin. He also feels that he has betrayed her to save his own life. As the war is about to start, Li Jing is imprisoned by his father and Xuan Nu is beaten up and sent back to Kunlun Mountain as a declaration of war.

Mo Yuan’s disciples help to heal Xuan Nu’s injuries. She seeks forgiveness from Si Yin but is ignored. Xuan Nu is unhappy that she is humiliated by Si Yin and Die Feng for showing a lack of interest in her. She vows to steal Mo Yuan’s army formation tactics to defeat them.

Episode 6

The war starts. The Ghost Tribe is able to break the Celestial tribe’s formation resulting in heavy casualties. Ling Yu is surrounded and killed. Si Yin jumps in and tries to help. Li Jing sees that she is in danger and rushes to defend her against his own elder brother, Li Yuan. From the 2 brothers’ conversation, Si Yin finds out that Xuan Nu has stolen Mo Yuan’s army formation tactics for their tribe. Si Yin’s brother, Bai Zhen, drops in and swoops Si Yin and Ling Yu away from the battlefield.

Ling Yu dies from his injuries. Si Yin is sad about his death. Mo Yuan requests soldiers for a sacrificial mission to break Qing Cang’s encirclement. Yao Guang volunteers to lead this mission. Mo Yuan also teaches Si Yin how to seal the Bell Of East Emperor. The counter attack manages to turn defeat into victory for the Celestial Tribe. But Qing Cang refuses to surrender. He uses the bell’s powers to destroy everything in sight. A duel ensues as Mo Yuan tries to stop Qing Cang. Eventually, Mo Yuan sacrifices his spirit to seal up Qing Cang inside the bell. His soul is scattered. Si Yin is devastated and angry. She vows to obliterate the Ghost Tribe.

Li Yuan surrenders. Li Jing is angry with Xuan Nu for stealing Mo Yuan’s army tactics as he doesn’t care for the war in the first place. Dijun orders Star Lord Si Ming to meet with Li Jing to convince him to be the new Ghost Lord instead of ceding the position to his brother.

Episode 7

Si Yin is devastated over her master’s death. She refuses to allow for a funeral to be arranged by the Heavenly Lord because the last words from Mo Yuan was for her to wait for him to return. Dijun speaks up for Si Yin and advises the Heavenly Lord to let it be. But he is still worried that Si Yin will try to exact revenge over the Ghost Tribe as this will break the truce that they have formed. He sends his eldest son, Yang Cuo, to Kunlun Mountain to talk to Si Yin. Yang Cuo and his wife are childless. Dijun tells them that the solution to their problem lies in Kunlun Mountain.

Soul Jade

Blood from the heart of a Nine-Tailed White Fox member can be used to preserve a dead body momentarily. So, Si Yin stabs herself to get the blood needed to feed Mo Yuan. The spirit from the Golden Lotus that resembles Mo Yuan keeps appearing around Si Yin although he couldn’t be seen. When she hears from Die Feng that the Soul Jade from the Ghost Tribe can stop a body from rotting, she rushes there to plead Li Jing to lend it to her. Li Jing is now the Ghost Lord after overthrowing and imprisoning Li Yuan. But Li Jing claims that the jade has been lost.

On her way back, Xuan Nu appears before Si Yin and shows her the Soul Jade. Li Jing appears to find Si Yin angry that he had lied to her. He doesn’t want to lend her the jade because he is jealous of Mo Yuan. Hence, he lied that it is lost. But Xuan Nu’s action deepens the misunderstanding and Si Yin’s hatred for Li Jing. This makes Li Jing mad at Xuan Nu who has been trying to gain his affections.

Golden Lotus

The Golden Lotus has withered as someone unauthorized has touched it. As a result, the spirit in the flower also have to vanish from being around Si Yin. But surprisingly, Yang Cuo’s wife is able to transform it back with a touch. Die Feng tells her that she is now the new owner of the flower as they are just the temporary keeper.

Without the Soul Jade, Si Yin drugs her fellow disciple brothers to bring Mo Yuan’s body back to Qing Qiu. She stabs her heart again to feed Mo Yuan with her blood.

Episode 8

Yang Cuo’s wife, Le Xu, suddenly gives birth to a son. An auspicious sign appears in the sky. The baby is named Ye Hua. On the way back to Qing Qiu, Si Yin saves a lowly snake spirit named Shao Xing. As she has no family, Si Yin tells her to look for her 4th brother in Peach Tree Woods. Bai Zhen then takes Shao Xing back to Fox Den to be a servant.

Die Feng informs Bai Zhen and Zhe Yan that Si Yin and their master’s corpse are missing from Kunlun Mountain. Her family and Zhe Yan find her on the verge of death as she has been offering her heart’s blood to Mo Yuan. Her parents manage to save her. Mo Yuan’s corpse remains preserved in Yan Hua Cave in Qing Qiu. Li Jing goes to Kunlun Mountain to look for Si Yin but is told that she is not there. The Heavenly Lord is angry that Si Yin has taken Mo Yuan’s body away. But Dijun feels that Mo Yuan’s wish is to have Si Yin with him in death. Back in Qing Qiu, Si Yin takes back her identity as Bai Qian.

70,000 years have passed. Ye Hua is now the designated Crown Prince. The Celestial and Ghost Tribe are allies and there is peace. Mo Yuan’s body remains preserved. Qing Cang is about to break out from his seal. Bai Qian is betrothed to Sang Ji, the Heavenly Lord’s second son but is reluctant to marry him. She keeps avoiding him and sends Mi Gu and Shao Xing to serve him instead. Sang Ji then falls in love with Shao Xing. He wants to marry her and quietly brings her back to the celestial realm. Ye Hua notices it and informs his third uncle.

Episode 9

Sang Ji’s brother advises him not to keep Shao Xing at the Celestial Palace and offends Bai Qian. She is now the Queen of Qing Qiu and the marriage is an alliance to shore up support for their father. The Heavenly Lord is livid when he hears that Sang Ji wants to cancel his marriage with Bai Qian to marry Shao Xing. He orders Shao Xing to be imprisoned at the Evil Sealing Pagoda.

The Heavenly Lord reminds Ye Hua not to be like his uncle. He can have consorts but never to let emotions to overtake his duties. Ye Hua has been identified from young to be the next Heavenly Lord and has been trained towards this goal. He has been separated from his mother for this purpose and hence, has grown to be cold and emotionless. Ye Hua has not shown any affections for the opposite sex either.

Zhe Yan advises Fox King Bai Zhu to cancel the marriage as Bai Qian doesn’t seem interested either. But they can use the humiliation caused by Sang Ji as an excuse to seek compensation from the Heavenly Lord. Feng Jiu is saved by Dijun when she is confronted by the Golden Tiger. She is enthralled by him. Dijun is on his way to check out the Bell Of East Emperor as he is afraid that Qing Cang might break out of his seal.

Yan Zhi is still looking for Li Yuan who has disappeared. She also feels that Li Jing is not who he used to be and has not seen him in years. Ye Hua’s third uncle suggests that he marries Bai Qian to take Sang Ji’s place. This would cool Fox King Bai Zhu’s anger.

Episode 10

Zhe Yan and Fox King Bai Zhu go to Celestial Palace to meet the Heavenly Lord about the marriage cancellation. Sang Ji saves Shao Xing from the Evil Sealing Pagoda and beg his father for mercy. The Heavenly Lord want them to die but Zhe Yan stops it from happening. He agrees to the suggestion for Ye Hua to marry Bai Qian instead. Zhe Yan sees some resemblance between Mo Yuan and Ye Hua. Su Jin is unhappy about the marriage arrangement as she is in love with Ye Hua. However, Ye Hua has no feelings for her. Sang Ji is demoted and banished to the north as the Water Lord of the North Sea.

Feng Jiu obtains Dijun’s bells from the guardian who is watching over the Bell Of East Emperor in exchange for her flute. She goes back to see Bai Qian as it is her aunt’s birthday. Bai Qian visits the abandoned Kunlun Mountain to reminisce about the past before making her way to re-seal Qing Cang. Feng Jiu tails her to Kunlun Mountain. Bai Qian leaves her with the spell to seal the Bell Of East Emperor in case she doesn’t make it out alive.

The sky turns ominous as Bai Qian and Qing Cang battle it out. Bai Qian keeps him sealed inside the bell. But Qing Cang manages to erase her memories and push her out to the mortal realm. Dijun arrives to find the bell has remained calm but the guardian tells him of a beautiful lady coming by the day before. He also passes Feng Jiu’s flute to Dijun. Bai Qian ends up in the mortal world with her memories lost.

Episode 11

Dijun finds Feng Jiu at Kunlun Mountain with the spell left by Bai Qian. He is curious how Bai Qian would have knowledge about the Bell Of East Emperor and the spell to seal it. Dijun asks Feng Jiu about her aunt’s relationship with Kunlun Mountain but she claims ignorance. At the mountain, Dijun also bumps into Li Jing who is there as he misses Si Yin.

Feng Jiu follows Dijun back to Celestial Palace. She is angry at Shao Xing for embarrassing her aunt but Dijun stops their confrontation. He also tries to pry information out of Shao Xing about Si Yin and how he might be related to Bai Qian. But Shao Xing pretends that she has no knowledge of who Si Yin is.

Bai Qian is transported by Qing Cang to Mount Junji of the Far East. This is a deserted mountain where his mount, Golden Tiger, hides. Ye Hua is ordered by his grandfather to kill off Golden Tiger. He changes into dragon form and manages to defeat him but is slightly injured. While he recuperates, he minimises into a snake. Bai Qian takes the snake home to help it heal. He sees her Jade Purity Fan and wonders about her background.

Su Jin proposes to the Heavenly Lord to take her as his consort as a way to appease the different clans. Yan Zhi hears about the Golden Tiger being killed. She is hopeful that it might provide clues to Li Yuan’s whereabouts. A man is eyeing Bai Qian’s fan at the market. He snatches it off her and claims it is his which attracts Yan Zhi’s attention.

Episode 12

Yan Zhi helps Bai Qian to get back her fan. As a show of gratitude, Bai Qian gives the fan to Yan Zhi as she doesn’t realise its powers given her memory lost. She is now reduced to a mortal. Yan Zhi sees some resemblance between Bai Qian and Si Yin but does not make the connection. The Golden Tiger is still alive and witnesses Yan Zhi with Bai Qian.

Ye Hua is back at Celestial Palace. He has no issue with Su Jin being the Heavenly Lord’s consort. Trouble is brewing in the Mermaid Clan of Chang Sea. The leader is a trusted aide of Qing Cang and Li Yuan’s mother comes from this clan too. Ye Hua is tasked to quell the disorder. He also learns from Si Ming about the Jade Purity Fan which he saw earlier and the story between Mo Yuan and Si Yin. Ye Hua goes back to see Bai Qian in snake form. He notices that her fan is now missing.

Ye Hua’s cousin, Zhi Yue, is interested in Dijun. Feng Jiu is adamant about repaying Dijun for saving her life. She leaves Bai Qian’s written spell to seal the Bell Of East Emperor to Mi Gu with the instruction to forward to their elders. Zhe Yan deduces that Bai Qian’s disappearance from Fox Den has to do with the re-sealing of Qing Cang. They decide to look for her.

Feng Jiu goes to Dijun’s Taichen Palace as she wants to repay him. But she couldn’t enter. Lady Cheng Yu offers her an idea. She has a history with Lian Song, the Heavenly Lord’s third son. So, Feng Jiu becomes a lowly palace maid to try to get close to Dijun. But she faces obstacles from the arrogant Zhi Yue.

Episode 13

Ye Hua is enamoured by Bai Xian and keeps visiting her. Golden Tiger looks for Yan Zhi and informs her that Li Jing has banished Li Yuan in the Arctic Lands. It is revenge against Li Yuan for killing Li Jing’s mother. However, to save him, Yan Zhi will need to steal the military seal from Li Jing to enter the area. While they are discussing the matter, Bai Qian is again bullied by the man who had snatched her fan earlier at the market. He tells everyone that she has with her an evil black snake which should be torched.

Ye Hua transforms from the snake into a dragon to protect Bai Xian. Then he flies away as he needs to hide his identity. Yan Zhi and Golden Tiger witness the whole incident. Bai Qian is amazed that the snake she has been looking after is a dragon god. Su Jin is disappointed that Ye Hua does not care about her.

Ye Hua seeks advice from his third uncle regarding his feelings for Bai Qian. He suggests that Ye Hua plays the pity card to get close to her. So, Ye Hua pretends to be injured by a monster to get Bai Qian to look after him. As she has lost her memory and doesn’t know her own name, Ye Hua gives her the name of Su Su. He lives with her while he pretends to recuperate from his injuries.

Episode 14

Yan Zhi seeks out Li Jing to enquire about Li Yuan. She hopes both her brothers would reconcile but Li Jing tells her not to mention about Li Yuan to him. Yan Zhi then gives the Jade Purity Fan to Li Jing and tells him that she obtains it from a mortal in Mount Junji. Li Jing suspects Si Yin could be there. Xuan Nu is unhappy that Li Jing still thinks of Si Yin after so many years.

Li Jing rushes to Mount Junji to look for Si Yin. Ye Hua meets him at the mountain and for a second, Li Jing thinks he is Mo Yuan until Ye Hua introduces himself. He tells Li Jing that the area is now under the Celestial Tribe since he has defeated the Golden Tiger. Hence, Li Jing is not allowed to trespass. Furthermore, there is no Si Yin in the area. Ye Hua also asks Li Jing to return the Jade Purity Fan that he is carrying as it belongs to the Kunlun Mountain clan.

Feng Jiu finally gets to see Dijun with Si Ming’s help. But Dijun does not care about Feng Jiu’s wish to repay him for saving her life. Li Jing catches a glimpse of Si Yin at the market but lost sight of her in a blink of an eye. Su Jin becomes the Heavenly Lord’s consort despite him being an old man who no longer has interest in his harem.

Ye Hua and Su Su begin to get closer to each other. Su Su suggests that they get married. Ye Hua agrees to her proposal. They have a simple wedding ceremony and Su Su makes Ye Hua promise that he will never betray her. Otherwise, she says that she would leave him.

Episode 15

Su Jin’s decision to be the Heavenly Lord’s consort is part of her plan to eventually marry Ye Hua. She is consort-in-name only as the Heavenly Lord only making use of the occasion to build up relationships with the different branch leaders. Su Jin requests the Heavenly Lord to order Ye Hua to accompany her to worship her ancestors. This would give the impression that the Celestial Palace places a high regard for her and would also allow Ye Hua to meet the branch leaders.

Xuan Nu gives the military seal to Yan Zhi to save Li Yuan. She does so because she wants Li Jing to realize that even his own sister could betray him and that makes her his only ally. She transforms into Si Yin again to seduce a drunk Li Jing. Feng Jiu blurts out to Dijun that she is really only interested in repaying his kindness. Her identity as a Qing Qiu princess also becomes public knowledge. Dijun tries to pry information about Mo Yuan and Si Yin out of Feng Jiu but she deflects his questions.

Su Su thinks Ye Hua could be a monster. But Ye Hua reassures her that he is only a mortal who has some cultivation knowledge. While hunting for food in the forest with Su Su, Ye Hua has to suddenly disappear as he is wanted at Celestial Palace. Su Su couldn’t find Ye Hua and becomes worried. The Heavenly Lord reminds Ye Hua not to disappoint him when Ye Hua proposes that his wedding with Bai Qian be delayed. Lian Song also reminds Ye Hua that Su Su will be in danger if the Heavenly Lord finds out about her. Ye Hua is to accompany Su Jin to her clan. Lian Song insists he should come along.

Episode 16

Yan Zhi rescues Li Yuan using the military seal provided by Xuan Nu. Li Jing is still pining for Si Yin after 70,000 years to Xuan Nu’s disappointment. When he hears that Li Yuan has escaped, he orders his generals to capture his brother who should be feeling to Chang Sea. Li Yuan’s mother belongs to the Mermaid Clan. Li Jing also orders things to be kept a secret from the Celestial Palace.

Ye Hua hurries back to mortal world to see Su Su. His third uncle helps him to fend off Su Jin while he is away. In the mortal world, Ye Hua has been gone for more than half a year. But he couldn’t tell Su Su what he has been up to. Ye Hua gives Su Su a copper mirror for them to communicate while apart before he leaves her again to handle his Crown Prince duties.

With Su Jin’s help, Ye Hua manages to convince the other clans to contribute their troops in the upcoming war with the Mermaid Clan to quell the rebellion. Ye Hua informs Lian Song that he will fake his own death then to escape to the mortal realm to be with Su Su. A general suggests to Ye Hua to enlist Die Feng, Mo Yuan’s senior disciple, as his assistant. Ye Hua’s strategy is to go undercover at Chang Sea to survey the situation and to meet the Water King of Chang Sea to prevent him from cooperating with the Mermaid Clan.

Feng Jiu is drunk after eating some fruits offered by Lady Cheng Yu. She becomes more daring as she talks to Dijun and tells him that Zhi Yue has been scolding her. Dijun carries her back when she falls asleep in her drunken state.

Episode 17

Feng Jiu’s debt of gratitude owed to Dijun increases now that he has taken care of her while she was drunk. As their conversation switches to her aunt, Dijun gets the confirmation that Si Yin is Bai Qian.

Ye Hua goes back to see Su Su. He needs to leave again the next day but Su Su insists on following him this time. They run into Mermaid Clan members but Die Feng appears with his soldiers to help them. Die Feng’s first impression is that they look like his master, Mo Yuan, and fellow disciple, Si Yin. But he could detect that Su Su isn’t an immortal which rules her out as Si Yin. Ye Hua requests for a private word with Die Feng. He introduces himself but asks Die Feng to keep his identity a secret as he is on an undercover mission in Chang Sea.

Li Yuan and Golden Tiger are arranging to go back to the Mermaid Clan at Chang Sea. He is unwilling to reconcile with Li Jing despite Yan Zhi’s pleas. Die Feng brings Ye Hua and Su Su to the Crystal Palace. The Water King of Chang Sea’s second princess is to be married off to the Mermaid King to avoid a confrontation. But the princess is unwilling to do so.

Ye Hua brings Su Su to Peach Tree Woods in her dream. The Heavenly Lord has announced Ye Hua and Bai Qian’s wedding date. But Bai Qian is still missing from Fox Den. Zhe Yan suggests that they give the excuse that Bai Qian is recuperating from her injuries to delay the wedding. The Water King’s second princess shows an interest in Ye Hua. She tells Su Su that Ye Hua can be elevated to be an immortal if she marries him.

Episode 18

The Mermaid Clan has been terrorizing Chang Sea for years and the Water King has been appeasing them to avoid a war. Ye Hua promises to return peace to the area. Su Su is pregnant with Ye Hua’s child. He sends her back to Mount Junji due to the danger of the looming war. Li Yuan arrives at Change Sea to see the Mermaid King. He wants to borrow some of the King’s troops but gets rejected. Li Yuan is angry over the disrespectful treatment.

The Mermaid King knows that the Water King is offering his second daughter, Lu Xiu, to avoid a war. He sends his youngest son to the banquet instead. But Ye Hua makes his identity known at the banquet. He condemns the Water King for being such a weakling and shirking his responsibilities. The Water King has no choice but to order for the Mermaid King’s son to be beheaded.

Back at the Celestial Palace, the Heavenly Lord authorizes for the war to start and Ye Hua to lead it. Before going off to war, Ye Hua visits his mother. Le Xu feels sentimental and regrets that his son has to sacrifice his own happiness as a Crown Prince with his impending marriage to Bai Qian. Su Jin makes a surprise appearance at Change Sea and insists on joining the clan soldiers in the war.

Lian Song reconfirms with Ye Hua if he is really prepared to give up everything for Su Su. Ye Hua says yes. He asks Lian Song to send him to a secret place and tells everyone that he has died and disintegrated during the war. Ye Hua will allow himself to be cut by the Mermaid Clan’s Soul Slayer to convince everyone of his death.

Episode 19

The war starts. Ye Hua is slashed by the Mermaid King and he stabbed the latter in return. Ye Hua is in injured and taken away by Lian Song. But he drops his copper mirror to be picked up by Su Jin. At the same time, Su Su uses the copper mirror only to see Ye Hua in danger. She charges through the barrier erected by Ye Hua in Mount Junji and is discovered. Su Su is brought back to the Celestial Palace. Her life is spared by the Heavenly Lord when Le Xu informs him that Su Su is pregnant with Ye Hua’s child. So, Su Su is locked up in an abandoned palace instead.

Ye Hua wakes up from his injuries to learn that Su Su has been captured. He is devastated although they won the war. But he knows he cannot go and see her. Instead, he must act as though he doesn’t care so that she remains safe. Su Su is also miserable and keeps asking for Ye Hua. Feng Jiu learns that Ye Hua has another woman when he is supposed to be married to her aunt. She tries to check this woman out but couldn’t see her as the doors are locked.

Meeting Su Su

Xuan Nu is pregnant with Li Jing’s child. Finally, Li Jing begins to treat her a little better. An invitation to the Celestial Palace for an assembly arrives. Xuan Nu wants to accompany Li Jing there. After arriving at the palace, she begins to get stomach pains. The shaman tells her that the child she is carrying has no heartbeat. She wants the shaman to keep it a secret.

While at the Celestial Palace, Li Jing’s minion followed a peach blossom scent to the abandoned palace. He starts a fire to rescue Su Su but it becomes uncontrollable. Li Jing breaks down the door to save Su Su. He thinks she is Si Yin and gets his shaman to treat her. But Su Su is only a mortal which helps to convince him that she is not Si Yin. Le Xu comes to take Su Su back into her custody. Li Jing learns from his shaman that Su Su is pregnant and the matter is not as simple as it seems since she is a mortal but is locked up at the Celestial Palace. But Li Jing knows it is not his place to meddle into their affairs.

Episode 20

The Heavenly Lord visits Ye Hua at Chang Sea to check on his injuries. Ye Hua explains to his grandfather that Su Su is just a mortal who had helped him with his injuries when he battled with the Golden Tiger at Mount Junji. Hence, he had repaid her with a child as gratitude and nothing more. Su Jin proposes that Su Su be made a side consort but the idea is shot down by the Heavenly Lord. She then shows the Heavenly Lord the copper mirror that she found. He orders her to keep a close eye on Su Su.

When Ye Hua learns about the fire at Celestial Palace, he hurries back. He acts cold towards her in front of others but explains to her why in private. It is to protect her. Ye Hua also warns Su Su to keep to herself. He appoints Nai Nai to be Su Su’s maid. Le Xu tells Su Jin to help Su Su with the palace’s etiquettes and rules. Ye Hua is constantly busy during the day but he will quietly transport himself unseen to be by her side at night.

Li Jing pays Su Su a visit and brings along his shaman. But Su Jin also drops by and rejects his offer to treat Su Su. Li Jing leaves after hearing Su Jin’s explanation. But when Xuan Nu hears about it, she isn’t too happy. She is also barred from wandering out of the guest house in the Celestial Palace as she was once a traitor to the tribe. This leaves her feeling humiliated. Su Jin convinces Su Su to get out of her residence and walk around with her.

Episode 21

Su Jin purposely brings Su Su to Heaven’s Spring. The Heavenly Lord are discussing with Ye Hua his arranged marriage to Bai Qian. Su Su overhears the conversation and is unhappy. Ye Hua tells Su Jin to stay out of his palace affairs as she shouldn’t bring Su Su to there. On the way to Heaven’s Spring, they also meet Sang Ji and Shao Xing who have arrived for the assembly. Su Jin introduces Su Su to them as Ye Hua’s savior and a mortal. Shao Xing keeps staring at Su Su as she looks familiar.

While they are out, Nai Nai is ordered by another maid to bring Su Su’s Jade Purity Fan to her. Su Jin has seen the fan earlier in Su Su’s room. As Nai Nai wants to pass the fan to Su Su, a power forces her to drop it. A phoenix beast appears and injures Feng Jiu. This is the same phoenix that Si Yin fought off at Mount Kunlun 70,000 years ago. The phoenix is eventually slayed by Ye Hua.

Su Jin’s Evil Plot

The Heavenly Lord is angry over the ruckus. Ye Hua has to explain why he gave the fan to Su Su. The Heavenly Lord refuses to listen to Su Su’s explanation that she didn’t ask Nai Nai to bring her the fan. Su Jin pleads on Su Su’s behalf but Ye Hua tells her not to interfere in his affairs. Finally, the Lord Of Numinous Treasures helps out Ye Hua by taking the blame as the phoenix is under his care. He also reminds Ye Hua not to end up like his second uncle who lost his bright future because of a woman.

The Heavenly Lord questions Su Jin in private why she is pleading for Su Su. She tells him that she is doing it for Ye Hua. She is afraid that Su Su will be a hindrance to the Crown Prince. Su Jin promises the Heavenly Lord that she will get rid of Su Su in a way that Ye Hua wouldn’t even be able to protect her. In return, she wants to be bestowed as Ye Hua’s side consort and married into Xiwu Palace. The Heavenly Lord agrees to her request.

Dijun uses his powers to heal Feng Jiu. Li Jing is called for a meeting with the Heavenly Lord regarding Li Yuan’s rebellion in the Far North. Xuan Nu is jealous because she assumes that Li Jing is going to see Su Su. Li Jing tells her off and reminds her that she is the one who gives the military seal to Yan Zhi that causes Li Yuan to escape.

Episode 22

The Heavenly Lord wants Ye Hua to quell the rebellion by Li Yuan. This is his last chance to redeem himself after his disappointing performance in the war against the Mermaid Clan and getting injured during the battle with Golden Tiger. Li Jing is willing to support Ye Hua to fight his own brother to prove that he is loyal to the Celestial Tribe. The Heavenly Lord also changes all of Ye Hua’s loyal maids in his palace which means he will have to be extra careful about being watched.

Su Jin uses the copper mirror to speak of her relationship with Ye Hua which causes Su Su to doubt Ye Hua’s love for her. Ye Hua knows that Su Jin is keeping his copper mirror and demands it back from her. Xuan Nu’s unborn child is sickly and the shaman advises her not to keep it. But she is adamant of conceiving the child as it is the only way to keep Li Jing by her side. She wants the shaman to use a magic cure so that she can have the child despite being told that the cure defies natural law and will invite retribution.

Preparing For War In The Far North

Ye Hua and his soldiers are not familiar with the terrain in the Far North. He has to get help from Bai Zhen for a topography of the area to prepare for war against Li Yuan. Bai Zhen grants him the favour as Ye Hua is his future brother-in-law. It is also a bargaining chip in case they need to cancel the wedding since Bai Qian is still missing.

Feng Jiu is following Dijun around in her fox form. She is unwilling to show herself as she feels shameful for being unable to repay her debt of gratitude. But Dijun knows about her presence and even allows her to kiss him while pretending to be drunk. Feng Jiu also visits Su Su at her residence as a fox and communicates with her because she looks like her aunt to her. The map promised by Bai Zhen is ready. Li Jing wants to settle an old score with Li Yuan and Ye Hua agrees to his request. Ye Hua is regretful that he has to make Su Su to constantly wait for him.

Episode 23

Su Su uses the copper mirror to talk to Ye Hua who is preparing for war at Far North. She asks him if their oath as husband and wife still stands. Ye Hua confirms that it is. Li Jing flooded the Far North to cause widespread death to all the creatures there. But it forces Li Yuan to flee and lose the war. When Li Jing catches up with him, Li Yuan tries to kill his brother. Yan Zhi stands in front of Li Jing to prevent the brothers from fighting each other. But Golden Tiger runs in front of Yan Zhi at the last minute. Li Yuan’s sword pierces Golden Tiger and kills him instead. Li Jing then captures Li Yuan.

Su Su’s Sufferings

Ye Hua returns to Celestial Palace and the Heavenly Lord is pleased with the victory. He rewards Ye Hua by giving Su Jin to him as his side consort. Su Jin tricks Su Su to the Zhuxian Terrace. It is an ominous place with an opening that will send them back to where they came from. Nai Nai runs to inform Ye Hua. When Ye Hua appears, Su Jin jumps into the opening. Ye Hua grabs Su Jin out but she has lost her eyesight. She claims that Su Su has pushed her because the latter doesn’t like it that she will be Ye Hua’s side consort.

Ye Hua knows that he cannot insist on Su Su’s innocence in front of the Heavenly Lord in order to save her life. So, he suggests that Su Su’s eyes be given to Su Jin while he will suffer lightning bolts for 3 years as punishment on Su Su’s behalf since she is pregnant with his child. Su Su is devastated that Ye Hua takes away her eyesight when she is innocent while he is pained that he has to make her suffer knowing very well that she has been framed. Ye Hua realizes that Su Su will be killed by his grandfather eventually. So, he wants to get the Crown Prince seal as soon as possible so that he could openly make Su Su his consort. But this will entail taking further punishments before he can be declared fit for the position.

Feng Jiu hears that all the maids and guards who witnessed the incident at Zhuxian Terrace will be dismissed to the Lower Realm to avoid gossips and scandals. She is worried over what happened to Su Su and rushes to her residence as a fox. Then Su Jin appears.

Episode 24

Su Jin maliciously tells Su Su that Ye Hua has given Su Su’s eyes to her. Feng Jiu is angry at Su Jin’s evilness and bits her. Su Jin flungs her against the wall and orders her maid to beat her up. Dijun arrives to ask about his fox which has gone missing. He can see through Su Jin and humiliates her by making her kneel for hurting Feng Jiu. With the victory over the Mermaid Clan and Li Yuan, all the clans are supportive of Ye Hua to be formally appointed as Crown Prince. Ye Hua goes to inform Su Su but she is still hesitant over how to face him. On his investiture day, he will have to face powerful bolts of lightning. He orders Nai Nai not to tell Su Su to save her from worry.

Li Jing has Li Yuan imprisoned. He tells his brother that his father had treated all of them as tools to gain more power. If his children die, his power strengthens. So, saving their father from the Bell Of East Emperor will only mean they are going to get killed. Li Jing’s mother was banished by their father because she found out about his secret. Li Yuan refuses to believe Li Jing. Yan Zhi tells Li Jing that she wants to go to the mortal realm as she cannot bear seeing her 2 brothers at odds with each other. Li Jing lets her go but orders his men to keep an eye on her safety. He feels lonely with his sister gone and gets himself drunk. In his dream, he still calls out for Si Yin which angers Xuan Nu.

Investiture Day

On Ye Hua’s investiture day, all the clan leaders are invited for the ceremony. Li Jing asks about Su Su when he meets Su Jin. After hearing her story, Li Jing orders his minion to snoop around. Ye Hua completes his investiture ceremony by tolerating powerful strikes of lightning. Both Su Su and Xuan Nu go into labour. Ye Hua couldn’t be with Su Su because he has to take his lightning punishment. Xuan Nu’s child shouldn’t be allowed to live but she threatens the shaman to use taboo means to make sure the baby is alive.

Episode 25

Qing Cang could feel that Su Su is trying to break out from his seal while she is in labour. He screams that it is either he will die or Su Su will. During their battle to reseal him inside the Bell Of East Emperor, Qing Cang has sealed up Su Su’s celestial aura and reduced her to a mortal. Finally, Su Su gives birth to a boy. But she is cold towards Ye Hua because she knows it is time for her to leave him.

Xuan Nu delivers a sickly child and blames the shaman for feeding her abortion medicine. She orders the shaman to be beheaded. The shaman blurts out that it is Xuan Nu who threatens him to use taboo methods to keep the child. Li Jing is depressed on hearing the news and ignores Xuan Nu. Su Jin is also sad and jealous of Su Su for delivering a son for Ye Hua.

Feng Jiu Told To Leave

Zhe Yan drops by to visit Dijun to clarify some matters. He learns the Feng Jiu has been hanging around the Celestial Palace. On his way out, he bumps into Su Su. It appears to Zhe Yan that she looks like Bai Qian. But Ye Hua introduces her as a mortal and that she belongs to him. Ye Hua also announces that he will take Su Su as his consort. Now that he is officially the Crown Prince, there is nothing that the Heavenly Lord can do. They could only hope that Bai Qian will be able to snatch his attention away from Su Su when the time comes. However, Su Su feels that Ye Hua could be marrying her out of pity. She asks Nai Nai to show her way to Zhuxian Terrace as she claims to like the flower scents along the way.

Zhi Yue locks up Feng Jiu in the Evil Sealing Pagoda as she has always been jealous of her. Dijun beats down the beast inside the pagoda to save Feng Jiu. But he is heavily injured in the process. Dijun sends a message to Feng Jiu to leave the 9 Heavens as she doesn’t need to repay his kindness and that she has caused too much trouble. So, Feng Jiu returns to Qing Qiu. To distract herself from thinking about Dijun, she goes to look for Shao Xing to vent her anger for betraying her aunt. But Shao Xing willingly apologize and returns the Coud Clearing Fan that Bai Qian has given her to show her sincerity. Back at Qing Qiu, Feng Jiu’s father is angry with her for going to Celestial Palace.

Episode 26

The wedding between Ye Hua and Su Su will be held soon. Su Jin is barred from entering Xiwu Palace. Zhe Yan makes a trip to check out the Bell Of East Emperor. He could feel that Su Su is linked to Bai Qian and rushes back to the Celestial Palace. Su Su makes her way to Zhuxian Terrace. She communicates with Ye Hua through the copper mirror telling him that she will leave and that they owe nothing to each other. She also asks him to take care of their son, A Li. Ye Hua rushes to Zhuxian Terrace to see Su Su jumping into the opening. He jumps in after her.

Su Su ends up unconscious and injured at Peach Tree Woods. Dijun goes back to reseal Qing Cang as there are stirrings from within the Bell Of East Emperor. He suspects that something might have happened to the person who sealed Qing Cang up earlier. Dijun informs Su Ming that he will seclude himself after this and move to the mortal realm to give a chance to Feng Jiu to stay with him.

Ye Hua’s Fate

Ye Hua is rescued but is seriously injured and unconscious. The Heavenly Lord uses all his power to save him but he remains critical. Zhe Yan uses his skills to pull Ye Hua out of danger but he stays in a coma. He also finds the injured Su Su at Peach Tree Woods and heals her. She remembers who she is and she asks Zhe Yan for a medicine to make her forget her painful memories.

To make Ye Hua wake up from his coma, Dijun lets them know of an artefact called the Soul Gathering Lamp. But this belongs to Su Jin’s clan and has been buried with her mother. Su Jin is willing to retrieve it and cure Ye Hua. But she also want the Heavenly Lord to agree to her wish to marry Ye Hua. The Heavenly Lord agrees.

Episode 27

Back as Bai Qian, she drinks the amnesia potion to forget her memories of Ye Hua and her life as Su Su. Zhe Yan heals her eyesight but she could no longer withstand intense light. To overcome the problem, they get her white silk from Yellow Springs to protect her eyes. This covering will block out intense rays for her when needed. Zhe Yan and her family also agree to not to mention her painful past but to tell her that she has slept for a long time after her battle with Qing Cang. After waking up, Bai Qian goes to check out Mo Yuan’s body. It is still nicely preserved without Bai Qian’s blood. Zhe Yan thinks it might be because Mo Yuan could be waking up soon.

Ye Hua wakes up with the help of the Soul Gathering Lamp. The Heavenly Lord regrets that he might have been too strict with his grandson. Ye Hua’s mother tries to convince him to take an amnesia potion to forget Su Su to relieve his heartache but he refuses. Feng Jiu is pining for Dijun and opens up on her relationship with him to Bai Qian.

Looking For Si Yin

Ye Hua wants to look for Si Yin. Since Si Yin has disappeared with Mo Yuan’s body, Ye Hua feels there might be a chance that Si Yin might know how to bring back a dead person. He wants to know the method to bring back Su Su. Ye Hua is told Feng Jiu might have an idea about Si Yin. He travels to Fox Den to ask Feng Jiu about it which surprises her. But Feng Jiu claims ignorance. Bai Qian finds out that she is now supposed to be married off to Ye Hua after Sang Ji broke off their engagement. She is reluctant to do so.

Su Jin is bestowed to Ye Hua. On their wedding day, Ye Hua pierces her once with his sword and refuses to let her into his palace. When the Jade Purity Fan in his possession suddenly vanished, he feels it might have gone back to its owner, Si Yin. Ye Hua goes to Kunlun Mountain to investigate. Bai Qian is also there to reminisce about old times. But they miss each other.

Ye Hua reports to the Heavenly Lord about the Jade Purity Fan and Si Yin. It is something that they have been investigating for 70,000 years in order to find Mo Yuan’s body. The Heavenly Lord also mentions to Ye Hua about Su Jin. Ye Hua knows he has to accept the imperial decree that Su Jin is his side consort. But he wouldn’t care where she stays as long as it is not at Zichen Palace or the Hall of Beautiful Youth, Su Su’s previous residence. Su Jin sends her maid to inform Ye Hua that she knows how to bring back Su Su.

Episode 28

Su Jin tells Ye Hua that he could create a new Su Su if he takes her belongings and burn it using the Soul Gathering Lamp. This will attract her breath and once enough of her breath has been collected, a mortal copy of Su Su will be created. In exchange for the information, Su Jin wants to move into Xiwu Palace. But she is still not allowed to step into Zichen Palace and come close to A Li. When Ye Hua burns Su Su’s clothes, it attracts peach blossom petals to fly to his palace.

300 years have passed. A Li is now a little boy. Ye Hua would bring him to Mount Junji for a few months every year. He is still pining for Su Su. It is Bai Qian’s birthday. Feng Jiu is wondering what to give to her aunt when Mi Gu suggests that she could try to wake Mo Yuan up. That would be the best gift for Bai Qian. But to do that, she would need the Soul Gathering Lamp which has been rumoured to have woken the Crown Prince up after the incident at Zhuxian Terrace.

Soul Gathering Lamp

Feng Jiu sneaks into Zichen Palace by transforming herself into Su Jin. She steals the Soul Gathering Lamp and causes the fire to extinguish. Ye Hua is at Mount Junji with his son. When he hears the lamp has been stolen, he rushes back to confront Su Jin. She pleads innocence. Ye Hua is devastated as the lamp is to re-create Su Su. Bai Qian is not impressed when she learns what Feng Jiu has done. She also tells her that the Soul Gathering Lamp won’t be able to help Mo Yuan because his soul has scattered. So, she orders her to return it.

Feng Jiu returns the lamp and claims she has only been curious about it. She doesn’t know Ye Hua has been using it to re-create Su Su. Ye Hua is depressed that the fire has been extinguished and mad at Feng Jiu. He even wants to burn his soul to reignite the lamp because that is the last thing that he has that belongs to Su Su. Lian Song stops him. He advises his nephew to let go as it has been 300 years and he has a son to take care of. He also tells Ye Hua to forgive Feng Jiu as her clan is not someone they can offend. They also shouldn’t incur Dijun’s wrath.

Su Jin is happy to hear that the Soul Gathering Lamp fire has been extinguished. She thinks that is the last thing that is holding back her relationship with Ye Hua. While Ye Hua is gone, A Li wanders around Mount Junji without his servants. A beast tries to attack him but he is saved by a woman who brings him back to the hut.

Episode 29

The woman who saved A Li is Miao Qing. She is the sister of the Water King of Eastern Sea. As repayment for saving A Li, her wish is to serve Ye Hua. So, Ye Hua allows her to stay with them for 10 days before sending her on her way. A Li is adamant that his mother would return and doesn’t like his father to forget about her. He also agrees to follow his father to Eastern Sea to attend a banquet.

Si Ming informs Feng Jiu that he has found a way for her to repay her debt of gratitude to Dijun. He brings her to the mortal realm and arranges for her to take on the identity of Lady Chen, one of the Emperor’s concubines. Dijun wants to experience trials for 60 years and is now the Emperor in the mortal world. Feng Jiu tries to see Dijun but faces obstacles from the Empress and other concubines.

Bai Qian is invited to attend a banquet by the Water King of Eastern Sea. It is to celebrate the birth of his son. Bai Qian often shuns such occasions but this time she makes an exception because the King’s family had helped her mother in the past. Shao Xing tries to see Bai Qian again at Qing Qiu to seek forgiveness. Mi Gu shoos her away.

Bai Qian stops by Peach Tree Woods on the way to Eastern Sea. She perches on a tree branch to enjoy Zhe Yan’s wine. Ye Hua also makes his way there to recall his times with Su Su. Miao Qing and and his brother try to cook up a plan for her to get close to Ye Hua during the banquet.

Episode 30

Bai Qian is tipsy and falls off the tree. Ye Hua flies up to save her. He immediately recognizes her as Su Su. But Bai Qian uses her magic to make Ye Hua momentarily dazed and then vanishes. Ye Hua thinks he is hallucinating. Zhe Yan passes by and quietly notices Ye Hua. The next day, Bai Qian wakes up from her drunken state and thinks she has had a romantic dream.

Trip To Eastern Sea

A Li follows Ye Hua to Eastern Sea for the banquet. On her way to there, Bai Qian meets Lu Xiu who is still thinking of getting close to Ye Hua. Bai Qian introduces herself as someone from Peach Tree Woods under Zhe Yan. The Water King has made sure that the bright corrals are covered up with leaves as Bai Qian is supposed to make an appearance. Li Jing is also invited to the banquet. Sang Ji also turns up with Shao Xing.

A Li goes missing as he wanders around in the back garden. He is digging some grass when Bai Qian bumps into him. She lends him her Cloud Clearing Fan. But A Li causes the leaves covering the corrals to come loose. Bai Qian’s white silk covering immediately comes on to cover her eyes. A Li immediately sees her as his mother as she looks the same as the picture his father has drawn of Su Su. Ye Hua turns up and thinks she is Su Su. He tries to touch her but Bai Qian hits his hand away. Ye Hua immediately apologizes and thinks that he has made a mistake. He drags A Li away as his son calls Bai Qian as mother.

Identifying Su Su

When Shao Xing hears that Bai Qian is at the banquet, she seeks her out. Shao Xing wants to beg for forgiveness from Bai Qian for causing Sang Ji to break off his engagement with her. As they talk, Ye Hua observes from a distance. Bai Qian’s mannerisms are the same as Su Su’s. He also notices the scar on her hand that Su Su has got due to the fire while she was locked up at Celestial Palace. Ye Hua believes Bai Qian is Su Su.

Bai Qian gives her Cloud Clearing Fan back to Shao Xing. She tells her that she will grant her one last wish before their relationship as master and servant ends. A Li keeps insisting that Bai Qian follows him and his father back to Celestial Palace as he sees Bai Qian as his mother. Ye Hua drags Bai Qian to the banquet although she has wanted to leave without introducing herself.

After a dance by Miao Qing, Ye Hua is invited by the Water King to meet his sister in private. A Li then drags Bai Qian to gatecrash the meeting. Bai Qian hints of her status and leaves after seeing through Miao Qing’s ruse. She is also embarrassed when A Li repeats what she has said about his father. Bai Qian has said that Ye Hua is her love when trying to stop A Li from crying earlier. A Li was afraid that Bai Qian no longer loved him and his father. Ye Hua lets her leave as he now knows where to look for her. He also thinks it is time to seek answers from Zhe Yan.

Episode 31

Ye Hua asks Zhe Yan about Bai Qian. He sticks to the script that Bai Qian was injured when sealing up Qing Cang. Ye Hua has his suspicions that Zhe Yan may not be telling the truth. He also leaves A Li at Qing Qiu with Mi Gu. When Ye Hua returns to his palace, he burns Bai Qian’s silk covering that she has dropped at Eastern Sea with the Soul Gathering Lamp. The flame turns green which is Su Su’s favorite color.

Ye Hua is now convinced Bai Qian is Su Su. He tells his third uncle but asks him to keep it a secret for now. There are still 2 things Ye Hua has not figured out – why Bai Qian has no celestial aura when she was at Mount Junji and why has she forgotten him. He wants to ask Dijun but the latter is now in the mortal realm. Feng Jiu is again stopped by other concubines from serving Dijun. So, she appears in Dijun’s dream instead to ask for his wish. She learns that he is seeking for someone’s love.

After escaping from Eastern Sea, Bai Qian meets Li Jing. He is seeking pleasure with a woman in a cave. Li Jing knows she is Si Yin. He tells her that he has been looking for her for 70,000 years and that he regrets betraying her. Bai Qian informs him her true identity. She also advises Li Jing to let go of the past. She has no more feelings towards the incident. Bai Qian goes back to Qing Qiu to find A Li there. She brings him to the market to shop for food. Ye Hua turns up to join them. They bought meat but Mi Gu has no idea how to cook it.

Episode 32

Ye Hua ends up cooking for them as they used to do in Mount Junji. But Bai Qian has no recollection of any of those events and that she used to be his wife. With Ye Hua practically living in Qing Qiu, Bai Qian is worried that he may find Mo Yuan’s body. So, she sealed up the cave that the body is in. She also throws her Jade Purity Fan to the bottom of the lake as that could connect her to Si Yin.

Die Feng and his 16th disciple brother have not given up looking for Si Yin. The disciple brother wants to return to Kunlun Mountain to prepare it for their master’s return. Both of them then face attacks by demonic figures controlled by the Ghost Realm.

Su Jin’s Dissatisfaction

Su Jin is jealous and angry when she learns that Ye Hua is getting bewitched by Bai Qian. She orders her maid to go to Qing Qiu to remind Bai Qian that she has not officially married the Crown Prince. Hence, they shouldn’t spend so much time with each other as the Celestial Tribe needs to follow rules and etiquettes. Miao Qing has also been accepted as maid in Xiwu Palace. Ye Hua grants her that wish for saving A Li. Su Jin tells Miao Qing that she will help her to be Ye Hua’s side consort as she is more than qualified being a princess.

Su Jin’s maid runs to Qing Qiu as insructed. But Mi Gu and the rest of the people chase her off. Bai Qian suggests to Ye Hua that what Su Jin has said makes sense and that he should return to the palace. But Ye Hua couldn’t be bothered. He also explains Miao Qing presence as a maid in his palace. Su Jin is livid when her maid returns to tell her that Bai Qian has disrespected her. She calms down when reminded that it is the Heavenly Lord’s birthday and that Sang Ji’s eldest son, Yuan Zhen, will be making an appearance.

Ye Hua brings Bai Qian to the Far East with A Li. It is A Li’s birthday. A sudden scare by a carriage causes Bai Qian to have a brief recollection of the past. Ye Hua is then called back to meet Die Feng at the Celestial Palace. Die Feng reports to him about the attacks from demonic figures from the Ghost Realm.

Episode 33

Bai Qian takes A Li to a story-telling teahouse to wait for Ye Hua to return. But she falls asleep and A Li ends up wandering inside a brothel. Bai Qian brings him out just in time and they make a pact to keep it a secret from his father. While walking around, a man tries to take advantage of Bai Qian. Ye Hua suddenly appears and makes the man disappears. He kisses Bai Qian on an impulse. They put up a night at an inn to let A Li rest. Demonic figures again make an appearance and he helps his officer, Tian Shu, to fight them off. The next morning, Bai Qian takes A Li back to Qing Qiu while Ye Hua returns to Celestial Palace for the Heavenly Lord’s birthday banquet. Su Jin comes up with an evil plan to get Ye Hua to remain in Celestial Palace.

Framing Yuan Zhen

Su Jin leads Yuan Zhen to her quarters and makes him fall unconscious. Then she claims that Yuan Zhen has molested her while he is drunk and is willing to hang herself for having been defiled. The Heavenly Lord is angry with Yuan Zhen and orders for him to be sent to the mortal realm for 60 years.

However, Ye Hua can see through her lies because she has also done the same thing to Su Su in the past. He tells her that he has kept her alive because she has given him the Soul Gathering Lamp. Furthermore, she is having Su Su’s eyes. Ye Hua warns Su Jin that he will show her no mercy if she persists with her evil plans and that she means nothing to him. He also informs his third uncle that Yuan Zhen’s case is Su Jin’s doing. When his uncle asks him why he is not bringing Bai Qian to the Celestial Palace, he tells him that he wants to start all over to slowly earn Bai Qian’s affections. It is better that way as the palace only holds painful memories for Bai Qian and it is best that they are forgotten.

Dijun finally visits Feng Jiu after 2 years. He confides in her that his favorite noble consort has left him to become a nun years ago and brought along their son, Yuan Zhen. Dijun also admits that Feng Jiu’s flower on her forehead seems familiar and he is drawn to it. Ye Hua returns to Qing Qiu. Bai Qian blurts out that she has looked forward to his return to cook for them.

Episode 34

Yuan Zhen who has been sent to the mortal world as punishment is reincarnated as Dijun’s prince. He is about to face a trial that will change his fate to an ominous one that will eventually result in his life being miserable and subsequently, death. Shao Xing begs Bai Qian to help her to protect her son. Bai Qian agrees and this last wish would then officially terminate their relationship. Ye Hua helps to obtain Yuan Zhen’s fate from Si Ming. Then he arranges for Bai Qian to go to the mortal realm as Yuan Zhen’s Taoist tutor. But he warns her that she must seal her celestial powers while in the mortal realm because changing a mortal’s fate using her powers will eventually rebound on her.

Miao Qing overhears the conversation between Ye Hua and Si Ming. She reports to Su Jin who asks her to go on a trip to the mortal realm. The critical point of Yuan Zhen’s trial is when a maiden falls into the river. He must be prevented from saving her because she would be the start of his downfall. Bai Qian would have to stay in the mortal realm for 6 months to fulfill her task.

Solving The Si Yin Puzzle

Li Jing goes to Kunlun Mountain to look for Si Yin. He tells Mo Yuan’s 16th disciple, Zi Lan, that he has seen Si Yin near the Eastern Sea. Li Jing has also circulated pictures of Si Yin to look for her. When Y Hua sees the picture, he knows Si Yin is Bai Qian. But he keeps it to himself and wonders why she would take away Mo Yuan’s body.

Xuan Nu has not been able to let go of her baby even after 300 years. Li Jing returns to confront her about Si Yin and what she knows about her. She refuses to tell him the truth. From their conversation, she suspects Si Yin is Bai Qian. Transforming herself to look like her, she goes to Qing Qiu to look for Mo Yuan’s body. She sees A Li there who calls her mother. Xuan Nu is able to fool Mi Gu and enters the cave that houses Mo Yuan’s corpse. When Mi Gu realizes she is Xuan Nu, a fight breaks out. Xuan Nu manages to cast a spell on Mi Gu and orders him to bring her A Li.

Ye Hua appears in the mortal realm to look for Bai Qian. He brings news about the identity of Yuan Zhen’s father in this lifetime.

Episode 35

Bai Qian learns that Yuan Zhen’s father is Dijun. After discussing that matter, Ye Hua invites Bai Qian to share the bed with him for the night. He asks her about Si Yin while laying in bed together but Bai Qian claims ignorance. The next day, Bai Qian tutors Yuan Zhen. She uses an excuse to find out from Yuan Zhen if Feng Jiu is in the palace. He confirms that she is. Bai Qian goes to see Feng Jiu and notices that she has been using the 2 Lives Curse on herself. This curse will allow her to be affectionate towards Dijun during the day.

Bai Qian asks her to push Dijun into the water during a certain day of the month to change Yuan Zhen’s fate. But Bai Qian is unsure if she could do it. Eventually, Bai Qian manages to convince Sang Ji to carry out the task when the day comes after discussion with Shao Xing. After all, Yuan Zhen is his son. Zhe Yan is asked by Bai Zhen to try to cure the Water King of West Sea’s eldest son who has been sickly. Zhe Yan finds his illness to be strange and asks for some time to think over the cure.

Xuan Nu brings back Mo Yuan’s body and A Li back to the Ghost Realm. She asks the generals to prepare the elixir chamber. She wants to burn Mo Yuan’s body so that an elixir can be created for her son’s recovery.

Changing Yuan Zhen’s Fate

The day comes when Bai Qian has to change Yuan Zhen’s fate. She calls Yuan Zhen away from the lakeside. A maiden is then carried off by a roc bird and falls into the waters. Sang Ji moves in and pushes Dijun into the waters too. Feng Jiu jumps in to save Dijun and earns his affections. As Bai Qian is observing nearby, someone also tries to push her into the lake. Ye Hua who is secretly witnessing the whole incident, uses his powers to save Bai Qian.

Miao Qing reports back to Su Jin that she has failed in her mission in the mortal realm as Ye Hua is around to save Bai Qian. Su Jin is worried that she will be implicated if Ye Hua investigates the incident. So, she spins her story to claim that Miao Qing has misunderstood her intentions. Being gullible, Miao Qing believes Su Jin as the latter again reassures her that she will help her to be Ye Hua’s side consort.

Episode 36

Su Jin tells Miao Qing that she will try to get her wed to Ye Hua as soon as possible to cover up the failed mission to harm Bai Qian. Dijun has fallen for Feng Jiu and wants to promote her rank to become his noble consort despite being against palace etiquettes. Si Ming and Ye Hua drops by to visit Bai Qian. Yuan Zhen’s fate has been perfectly altered but now Dijun’s fate is about to change.

Si Ming tries to convince Feng Jiu to play along and let Dijun be devoted to her if she wants to repay his kindness. When the time comes, Feng Jiu will next trample on his heart as advised by Si Ming. So, Feng Jiu goes ahead and marries Dijun when he asks her to do so. Ye Hua can see that Si Ming has more to hide and confronts him the next day. Si Ming explains that the reason Dijun went to the mortal world is to repay a debt of love to Feng Jiu. She was in love with Dijun while they were in the Celestial Palace but their relationship was not fated to be. So, Dijun will give Feng Jiu his love in his mortal life instead.

Battling Xuan Nu

Bai Qian returns to Qing Qiu only to find out that Mi Gu is under an enchanting spell. After she breaks the spell, Mi Gu tells her that Xuan Nu has taken away Mo Yuan’s body and A Li. Bai Qian summons her Jade Purity Fan from the bottom of the lake and rushes to Ghost Realm. Back at the Celestial Palace, Die Feng reports to Ye Hua that the demonic figures are only targeting highly ranked immortals. Ye Hua suspects it is Xuan Nu because she needs their bodies to produce elixirs for her sick child.

Mi Gu rushes over to the Celestial Palace to look for Ye Hua to tell her the danger Bai Qian is facing. At the Ghost Realm, Bai Qian tries to fight off Xuan Nu’s soldiers. The effects from her Jade Purity Fan reaches Li Jing and he hurries back to his palace. When Xuan Nu realizes that Bai Qian is afraid of intense light, she uses it to her advantage. Xuan Nu also changes her face to look like Bai Qian to spite her. Bai Qian is injured in the fight and on the verge of defeat when Ye Hua turns up.

Xuan Nu is defeated. Li Jing arrives back to find out the huge mess Xuan Nu has created. Ye Hua wants her life but Li Jing pleads for mercy on her behalf as she has been mentally unstable. Bai Qian changes Xuan Nu’s face back to her original look as she doesn’t want her to take on her appearance when she gets punished. Xuan Nu screams and becomes crazy as her face changes.

Episode 37

Xuan Nu becomes blind and thrown into prison by Li Jing. She is awaiting death as Li Jing is unwilling to protect her at the cost of war with the Celestial Tribe and Qing Qiu. In prison, she meets Li Yuan who is chained up with his powers sealed. Li Yuan convinces Xuan Nu that she should escape.

Ye Hua asks his third uncle the story about Si Yin and Mo Yuan. Lian Song relates how Mo Yuan had once saved Si Yin when she was captured by Yao Guang which proved their special relationship. Ye Hua fears Bai Qian is not accepting him because she has feelings for Mo Yuan. Miao Qing tries to get close to Ye Hua but Lian Song advises her that she is wasting her time. Su Jin tells Miao Qing that they should be patient await Bai Qian’s arrival.

Ye Hua’s Insecurities

Ye Hua returns to Qing Qiu and confesses his love for Bai Qian. But Bai Qian keeps trying to deflect his advances by giving all sorts of excuses. He also asks her to follow him back to Celestial Palace. Mo Yuan’s body is back at the cave in Qing Qiu. Ye Hua goes to take a look and notices that he himself has a close resemblance to Mo Yuan. He is unsure of Bai Qian’s feelings and her relationship with her master and whether she sees him as a substitute. Ye Hua also asks Die Feng about Si Yin. Die Feng tells him that Si Yin stole their master’s body because she doesn’t want him to be buried.

Bai Qian takes a walk around the lake and then wades in for a dip. Ye Hua has flashbacks of Su Su jumping into the opening at Zhuxian Terrace. He uses his powers to pull Bai Qian out of the water and into his arms before kissing her. On the way back, they meet Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen who have just returned from the West Sea. Bai Qian lets slip that Die Feng is her disciple brother. Mi Gu reports that Li Jing is waiting at the entrance to see Bai Qian but she refuses to meet him. Ye Hua reminds Bai Qian about returning to Celestial Palace the next day.

Episode 38

Ye Hua seeks out Zhe Yan to satisfy his curiosity about Bai Qian. Zhe Yan tells him the truth that Bai Qian went missing after sealing up Qing Cang. He also found her injured at Peach Tree Woods on the same day he saved Ye Hua from Zhuxian Terrace. So, Zhe Yan guesses that Su Su is Bai Qian which Ye Hua confirms. However, Zhe Yan does not know what Bai Qian wanted to forget when she asked him for the amnesia potion. Ye Hua has the thought that perhaps Bai Qian wanted to forget him because of Mo Yuan and that their love was just a trial for her to gain ascension to Higher Goddess and nothing more.

Xuan Nu kills a prison guard and escapes from her cell. Li Yuan asks her to kill him because that will increase his father’s strength to enable him to break out from the Bell Of East Emperor. Qing Cang had put a curse on his children and each of their death will increase his power by a third. So, he tells Xuan Nu to go and look for Yan Zhi in the mortal realm and kill her as well. Only through Qing Cang can Xuan Nu gains revenge over Bai Qian. Xuan Nu’s resolve is strengthened when she finds out that even her own mother has disowned her and Li Jing is still pining for Bai Qian.

The Bell Stirs

The guardian of the bell rushes to Celestial Palace to report to Dijun when he senses stirrings within after Li Yuan is killed by Xuan Nu. However, Dijun is in the mortal realm and will only be back in 20 days. In the mortal world, Dijun’s relationship with Feng Jiu is going strong. He has totally fallen for her. Si Ming visits Feng Jiu and tells her it is time to break his heart next. Zi Lan is roaming the mortal realm too to look for Si Yin. Instead he comes across Yan Zhi who pretends to be mute and is now the owner of an eatery. Zi Lan tries to get close to her because it might provide clues to Si Yin’s whereabouts.

Bai Qian meets Li Jing who is still waiting for her at Qing Qiu’s entrance when she is on her way to Celestial Palace with Ye Hua. Li Jing offers her the Soul Jade which she once asked for. But Bai Qian informs him that she no longer has a need for it as Mo Yuan’s body can now be preserved without her heart’s blood. She admits to Li Jing that he was her first love. But Li Jing has hurt and disappointed her back then.

Episode 39

Li Jing explains that he withheld the Soul Jade because he was envious. He knew Bai Qian wanted to use it to preserve Mo Yuan’s body. If he had known she was using her own blood from her heart to do so, he would have lent it to her then. Li Jing further says that he has never forgotten her and pleads for her forgiveness. But Bai Qian tells him that it is too late and they could never return to the past. Her heartbreak over him was long over and they could only be acquaintances from now on.

Zhe Yan visits Mo Yuan’s body. Then, he leaves Qing Qiu as he claims he needs to head back to Peach Tree Woods to look through his medical texts to save the eldest prince of West Sea. Zhe Yan is next seen at Kunlun Mountain. He notices activity at the place and comes across Mo Yuan’s second disciple who tells him that Li Jing has came by to look for Si Yin previously.

Bai Xian Back At Xiwu Palace

Ye Hua brings Bai Qian to tour his Xiwu Palace. He also brings her to the Hall of Beautiful Youth and introduces her to Nai Nai. The maid is shocked to see Bai Qian as she looks exactly like Su Su that even A Li calls her mother. Su Jin feels threatened when she hears that Bai Qian has been allowed to step into Su Su’s former residence when no one has been permitted to for 300 years. It could only signify Bai Qian’s importance to Ye Hua. Hence, Su Jin convinces Miao Qing to drug Ye Hua’s soup with a seduction potion to make him sleep with her. Once he has done so, he will have to marry Miao Qing.

Plan Fails

Ye Hua leaves Bai Qian at the Heaven’s Spring for her to soak in while he goes back to his study to write a poem on her fan. In his mind, he is willing to wait for Bai Qian to forget Mo Yuan and make her fall in love with him. Miao Qing then comes into his study to bring him the drugged soup. Ye Hua could see through Miao Qing’s plan. He questions her about her role in pushing Bai Qian into the water in the mortal realm earlier. Ye Hua also wants answers on the drugged soup. Just then, Su Jin barges in to plead on Miao Qing’s behalf.

Bai Qian returns from the Heaven’s Spring to find Su Jin and Miao Qing in Ye Hua’s study. Su Jin is shocked to see Bai Qian while the latter’s first impression of Su Jin is that she has beautiful eyes. Ye Hua orders Miao Qing to return to East Sea. Miao Qing pleads with Bai Qian to let her stay. But Bai Qian also concurs that she should return home. Ye Hua emphasizes to Miao Qing and Su Jin that Bai Qian is his wife and would be the only lady of Xiwu Palace.

Episode 40

Miao Qing no longer has any use to Su Jin. So, Su Jin refuses to help her and asks her to leave. Ye Hua asks Bai Qian the reason for her decision to send Miao Qing home. He has hoped that it is because of jealousy but Bai Qian disappoints him with practical reasons as to why it is best for Miao Qing to leave. Ye Hua asks Bai Qian if he has any standing in her heart or that she only has room for someone she has been waiting for. Bai Qian is troubled by Ye Hua’s questions as she tries to sleep.

Yan Zhi In Danger

Li Jing is miserable over Si Yin. But he realizes he needs to account for people under his rule. When he learns that Xuan Nu has escaped and Li Yuan has died, he orders for Xuan Nu to be killed on the spot when found. Li Jing also wants to behead Li Yuan and hang his head in public for all to see. Yan Zhi would need to be protected and immediately brought back to Ghost Realm. Xuan Nu manages to find Yan Zhi in the mortal world and lies to her to gain her sympathy. She claims that Li Jing has killed Li Yuan. Yan Zhi tries to heal Xuan Nu’s eyes but is unsuccessful. Zi Lan is wary of Xuan Nu and eavesdrops on her conversation with Yan Zhi.

Si Ming tells Feng Jiu that it is time to betray Dijun. The script on Dijun’s fate has been prepared. Feng Jiu has to make Dijun hate women and be utterly disappointed. Then Feng Jiu would have fulfilled her mission. But Feng Jiu couldn’t bring herself to hurt Dijun. She asks Si Ming for an additional 2 years before she carries out the betrayal.

Xuan Nu tries to kill Yan Zhi while the latter is asleep. Zi Lan appears and stops her. He warns Xuan Nu not to harm Yan Zhi or he would be forced to kill her.

Episode 41

Zhe Yan rushes to West Sea to try to save the sick eldest prince. A Li has been sleeping for hours due to the fruit wine that Bai Qian has allowed him to drink. Nai Nai is worried but Bai Qian assures her that A Li is fine. He just has low tolerance of alcohol and will need longer hours to sleep it off. While Bai Qian is on her way to the Heaven’s Spring, she hears the maids gossiping about her. Su Jin drops by the Hall of Beautiful Youth with the excuse that she wants to pay her salutations to Bai Qian. Nai Nai refuses to let her enter as has been the rule imposed by Ye Hua. She also tells Su Jin that Bai Qian has gone to Heaven’s Spring.

Ye Hua is worried about A Li and carries him away to be checked by the imperial physician. He has a little quarrel with Bai Qian as she feels his overly anxious parenting style is not good for A Li. On the other hand, Ye Hua feels Bai Qian does not care for A Li enough as he is just like a stepson to her.

Feng Jiu Saves Dijun

In the mortal realm, Dijun is attacked by rebels. Feng Jiu blocks an arrow meant for Dijun and saves his life. After defeating the rebels, Dijun rushes out with Feng Jiu to look for a physician to treat her. They bump into Yan Zhi who brings them back to her place. Xuan Nu could pick up Feng Jiu’s fox scent and knows she is Bai Qian’s niece. She wants to kill Feng Jiu as she is a high immortal and her body could be used to wake his baby.

Yan Zhi tries to stop her as the method is taboo. She convinces Xuan Nu that they look for the divine fungal grass instead as it can also save her baby. Xuan Nu doesn’t know whether she could trust Yan Zhi. But Zi Lan is also watching her and she has to halt her plan. Xuan Nu resolves that she will have to kill Yan Zhi as that is the only way for Qing Cang to unseal himself from inside the bell and she will then get her revenge. Yan Zhi uses her powers to save Feng Jiu. Dijun is relieved and his love for her grows.

Ye Hua’s mother is dissatisfied that Bai Qian has allowed A Li to drink so much wine. She thinks Bai QIan won’t make a good mother. Le Xu also tells Ye Hua that she has an uneasy feeling about Bai Qian now that he is interested in her.

Episode 42

Le Xu instructs Su Jin to go and pay salutations to Bai Qian as it is only proper. When Bai Qian goes to Zichen Hall to see A Li, she hears that Su Jin is still childless even though she has been Ye Hua’s side consort for 300 years.

Mo Yuan’s Soul

Zhe Yan discovers that the reason why the eldest prince of West Sea is unconscious is because his body is also holding Mo Yuan’s scattered soul. For the last 70,000 years, he has been slowly piecing back together fragments of his soul in the prince’s body. He tells Bai Zhen that they should inform Bai Qian that her master is waking up soon. As Mo Yuan gets stronger, his sword in Kunlun Mountain also breaks out from its box. At the same time, Ye Hua feels weak and pain in his heart while Bai Qian has a dream of the battle 70,000 years ago when Mo Yuan seals Qing Cang in the Bell Of East Emperor.

As Ye Hua is now Bai Qian’s fiancee, Zhe Yan informs him first about the possibility of Mo Yuan waking up. It would take another 7,000 to 8,000 years before he would return to his immortal body. Due to Bai Qian’s close relationship with Mo Yuan, Ye Hua has a right to know. Ye Hua is sad about losing Bai Qian but he asks Zhe Yan if Mo Yuan could wake up sooner because that is what she would want. Zhen Yan replies that he would need his Soul Gathering Lamp to revive Mo Yuan’s soul.

Learning More About Su Su

Su Jin pays her salutations to Bai Qian. She tells her about A Li’s mother and Ye Hua’s devotion to her as well as how Bai Qian looks exactly like Su Su. Bai Qian can see her true intention and makes things hard for her. After Su Jin leaves, Bai Qian asks Nai Nai about Su Su. Nai Nai relates what Su Jin has done to Su Su in the past including the lost of her eyesight. Zhe Yan drops by to inform Bai Qian about Mo Yuan’s case. Bai Qian is hopeful and moved to tears as this has been something she has cared about for 70,000 years. She leaves behind a letter to thank Ye Hua for his hospitality in Xiwu Palace before rushing off with Zhe Yan.

Zhi Yue throws a tantrum as she wants to go to the mortal realm to endure the heavenly trials with Dijun. Ye Hua permits her to do so since she is so adamant about it. Feng Jiu and Yuan Zhen are accused of adultery when they are caught being on top of one another. It happened when Yuan Zhen brought out the Cloud Clearing Fan given by Bai Qian when she was tutoring him. As it is a magical fan, the powers caused them to stumble. Si Ming prods Feng Jiu to admit to the adultery as this would be the perfect opportunity to crush Dijun’s heart to let him experience his trials.

Episode 43

Dijun chooses to trust Feng Jiu before she could even say anything. Si Ming advises Feng Jiu that it is not for her to choose to stop Dijun from suffering. Eventually, Dijun still have to face heartbreak when Feng Jiu does as told. She goes to the bathing pond at the same time as Yuan Zhen and let Dijun assumes that she has committed adultery with his own son.

Dijun suffers from intense heartache and falls sick. He dies shortly after. Feng Jiu is thrown into prison. Si Ming tells her that her mortal love with Dijun will end in the mortal realm and nothing will come out of it. Zhi Yue ends up in the mortal world as she requested but Dijun is now back at Celestial Palace with his trials having come to an end. But Dijun can still remember the mortal love he had with Feng Jiu.

Dijun Knows All Along

Ye Hua goes to ask Dijun about the divine fungal grass. Dijun tells him that one has to fight the beasts to obtain it and few could defeat them. He knows that Ye Hua is asking because of Mo Yuan’s case. He also knows that Bai Qian is Si Yin. Having undergone his mortal experience, he now understands the devotion Bai Qian has for Mo Yuan. He tells Ye Hua that he has kept quiet all this while because being with Si Yin is probably what Mo Yuan had wanted rather being buried in the Sea of Innocence.

Zhe Yan brings Bai Qian to see the West Sea sickly prince. Nobody has been able to cure him thus far. Bai Qian could see her master’s body at the Kunlun Mountain pond when she treats the prince which confirms that his soul is residing in the prince’s body. She wants to head to the Celestial Palace to get the Soul Gathering Lamp. But Ye Hua has already brought it to West Sea.

Wishful Thinking

When Bai Qian meets Ye Hua, she is still angry over the quarrel they had over A Li. She wants to leave but Ye Hua pushes her against the wall and forces a kiss until he notices her scar that has arose due to the need to obtain blood from her heart to preserve Mo Yuan’s body. Bai Qian slaps him.

Ye Hua sadly tells Bai Qian that he knows she has waited 70,000 years for Mo Yuan’s return and it is only his wishful thinking that she would have any feelings for him. He also knows that she will need the Soul Gathering Lamp. Ye Hua is disappointed that Bai Qian is even willing to sacrifice her life to obtain the divine fungal grass which is needed to wake Mo Yuan up. Then she will transfer half of her cultivation to Mo Yuan as that will enable him to wake up after 3 to 4 months.

Bai Qian suggests to Ye Hua that they should break off their engagement. If she marries him, she will have to endure the blazes and thunderbolts tests together with him during his coronation when he succeeds his grandfather as the Heavenly Lord. But Bai Qian wouldn’t be able to withstand the tests if she transfers part of her cultivation to Mo Yuan. Furthermore, their engagement was just an accident due to Sang Ji’s actions. Ye Hua then tells Bai Qian to collect the lamp from his room that night.

Episode 44

Bai Zhen drops by to visit Bai Qian to find her feeling out of place. She opens up to her 4th brother about Ye Hua and his confession to her. Bai Zhen thinks that she is just jealous during her stay at the Celestial Palace and that she has actually fallen for Ye Hua. Dijun is curious as to why his mortal life has been cut short by 18 years. Si Ming guesses that it could be due to Dijun being unlike other deities and hence, experiences heavenly trials differently. But some of his powers have been lost after his return and he tells Si Ming to keep it a secret.

Feng Jiu is back at Qing Qiu. She cannot get Dijun out of her mind and keeps wondering if her relationship with Dijun is more than just repayment of kindness. Her father shows up and wants to punish her for often causing embarrassment to their clan. Bai Zhen appears and calms down his brother. He sends Feng Jiu to West Sea to accompany Bai Qian so as to get her away from her angry father. Yuan Zhen turns up to meet her as he is also back early from his heavenly trials. He had been sent to death due to being accused of adultery with Feng Jiu in the mortal world. So, he has come to clarify the matter. Feng Jiu assures him that she had done it as a heavenly trial for Dijun and nothing else.

Ye Hua’s Sacrifice

Mo Yuan’s disciples have gathered again at Kunlun Mountain as the divine energy can be felt again. Bai Qian goes to Ye Hua’s room to get the Soul Gathering Lamp. She asks him how she could repay his kindness. Ye Hua answers that all he has ever wanted is her. Bai Qian allows Ye Hua to carry her to his bed. They spend the night together. As they kiss, Bai Qian feels a sense of familiarity as snippets of their time in Mount Junji register on her consciousness. Later, Ye Hua is wistful as this could be the last time that he will get to be with Bai Qian. He also asks her what she would do if one day, her eyes have been taken out by him. She replies that it would be over between them should that happens.

Bai Qian dreams about her time at Mount Junji again which woke her up. She looks for Ye Hua but he has left. Feng Jiu arrives to keep Bai Qian company. Bai Qian finally comes face to face with Die Feng and lets him know that she is Si Yin. Ye Hua seeks permission from the Heavenly Lord to go to Yingzhou on the pretext of destroying the divine fungal grass which is a malicious magical plant that has caused trouble. The Heavenly Lord agrees. If Ye Hua comes back victorious against the beasts that guard the plant, it will also be a good time for him to succeed the throne. Ye Hua’s real intention is to get the grass for Bai Qian. He orders his officers not to let anyone near Yingzhou should he fails to return after 3 days, especially Bai Qian.

Episode 45

Li Jing gets news that Yan Zhi and Xuan Nu are on their way to Yingzhou. During their journey, Xuan Nu tells Yan Zhi her sob story of how she has ended up this badly. Everything that she had done was for Li Jing because she loves him. Zi Lan has also tagged along to protect Xuan Nu. He confesses his feelings for her while she tells him that she is a princess of the Ghost Tribe. Zi Lan admits that he has known all along and that he would let her know who he is the next day.

When they reached the cave that houses the divine fungal grass, Yan Zhi rushes in first. She asks Zi Lan to stay behind to look after Xuan Nu. But Zi Lan goes in after her. Xuan Nu is desperate for the magical plant and follows behind them. The beasts attack Yan Zhi and Zi Lan. Li Jing and his men arrive and fend off the beasts to pull Yan Zhi out of danger. Zi Lan helps Yan Zhi out of the cave. Li Jing tries to get Xuan Nu to leave but she insists on getting the divine fungal grass.

Ye Hua Is Injured

Ye Hua appears then. He manages to subdue the beasts to get the grass. Then, he goes ahead to destroy the rest. Xuan Nu realizes what Ye Hua is doing and tries to attack him with a sword. This gives a chance for one of the beasts to rip off his arm and hits Xuan Nu. Ye Hua throws his sword at the beast to take it down. Then, he proceeds to destroy everything. Outside the cave, Yan Zhi pleads with Ye Hua to give her a sliver of the plant that he has to save Xuan Nu’s child. Ye Hua relents.

Xuan Nu dies from her injuries. Li Jing advises Ye Hua that he cannot awaken Mo Yuan because doing so will enable Qing Cang to break out from the Bell Of East Emperor. Mo Yuan has used his spirit to seal the bell and hence, if his spirit is revived, it will be dangerous for all of them. Qing Cang has also become more powerful with the death of Li Yuan and it won’t be long for him to break the seal once Mo Yuan’s spirit vanished. Hence, would Ye Hua then uses his spirit to seal the bell again? It would be a decision that Ye Hua would need to make.

Zi Lan has to make his way back to Kunlun Mountain. With that, Zi Lan and Yan Zhi part ways. The West Sea prince awakes with the help of the Soul Gathering Lamp. A severely injured Ye Hua goes to Kunlun Mountain to borrow their elixir cauldron. He uses his cultivation to turn the divine fungal grass into an elixir and then makes his way to Peach Tree Woods. He gives the elixir to Zhe Yan before falling unconscious.

Episode 46

Feng Jiu’s father wants to select a potential suitor for her to be married off. Dijun still misses his time with Feng Jiu in the mortal world. But he is determined to put an end to their relationship now. He asks Si Ming to return to Feng Jiu a token of their love as a keepsake of their encounter. Feng Jiu goes back to the place where she had saved Dijun in the mortal world. She sees Dijun there. She reminds him that she had risked her life willingly for him. But Dijun tells her that everything must come to an end and it is part of his trials.

Ye Hua wakes up to find that Zhe Yan has fixed him a wooden arm. He asks Zhe Yan to send the divine fungal grass elixir to Bai Qian but not to mention his name. Ye Hua doesn’t want Bai Qian to feel that she owes him. So, Zhe Yan mentions that he obtains the elixir himself when he gives it to Bai Qian. The Heavenly Lord is informed that Ye Hua has defeated the beasts and destroyed the plant but he has used up all his powers in the process. Ye Hua also falls unconscious after getting back to the Celestial Palace.

The Elixir

The elixir is given to the West Sea prince. The power is too strong for his frail body and he falls asleep. They will now need to wait for him to wake up. Bai Qian is afraid that it would not work but Die Feng reassures her. Zi Lan keeps following Yan Zhi secretly to protect her until she reaches safety back in her Ghost Realm. She knows Zi Lan has been trailing her. Yan Zhi also offers to use up her cultivation to save Li Jing’s baby since Ye Hua has given them some og the divine fungal grass.

Mi Gu goes to see Li Jing as instructed by Zhe Yan to borrow the Soul Jade. It should be deemed as a repayment of favour to Ye Hua for saving his life during the battle with the beasts at Yingzhou. Mi Gu then takes the jade to Bai Qian as it would help to counter the effects of the strong elixir the prince had consumed to enable him to wake up sooner. Bai Qian is curious when Ye Hua had saved Li Jing before.

Episode 47

Zhe Yan is summoned by the Heavenly Lord to treat Ye Hua. He learns that Ye Hua has used up all of his cultivation to create the elixir for the West Sea prince. Bai Qian uses her spirit tracking spell to track Mo Yuan’s spirit inside the prince’s body. She discovers that the celestial aura surrounding Mo Yuan is extremely strong. She identifies it as Ye Hua’s aura. Hence, she now knows that the elixir is not created by Zhe Yan but Ye Hua.

Bai Qian Learns The Truth

Bai Qian then rushes to Xiwu Palace to check on Ye Hua. She knows he must be severely injured because it is not easy to defeat the 4 beasts that guard over the divine fungal grass. But Ye Hua pretends that he is fine with only minor injuries. Bai Qian knows he is pretending to avoid making her feel bad. Since he is determined not to let her know, Bai Qian takes her leave and goes to ask Zhe Yan instead. Zhe Yan tells her the truth about how Ye Hua had planned everything and the extent of his injuries.

Bai Qian couldn’t bear to know how much Ye Hua had sacrificed for her. She goes back to Xiwu Palace and ends up accompanying him for the night. There are signs that Qing Cang will be back soon. Yan Zhi is unable to complete the creation of the elixir for her nephew. She needs to borrow the elixir cauldron at the Kunlun Mountain to do that. But Li Jing tells her to give up as there is no way Mo Yuan’s disciples will lend her the cauldron. So, she quietly leaves with Li Jing’s baby.

Su Jin hears that Bai Qian has spent the night with Ye Hua at his residence. She knows that Bai Qian’s weakness is her love for Ye Hua. So, she plans to tell her more about Su Su in order to break them apart. Cheng Yu overhears the conversation between Dijun and the Lord of Numinous Treasures while out with A Li. She learns that Dijun may be facing a calamity soon.

Episode 48

Yan Zhi goes to Kunlun Mountain to ask for use of their elixir cauldron. The second disciple refuses to help her but Zi Lan relents. He uses half of his cultivation and the cauldron to create the elixir for Yan Zhi. In return, he makes an oath to guard over the Sea of Innocence when his master returns and never to see Yan Zhi again. As Yan Zhi and Li Jing wait for the elixir, Li Jing tells his sister about Si Yin and that ‘he’ is Bai Qian. With the elixir, Li Jing’s baby awakens.

Wedding Plans

A Li returns to the Celestial Palace with Cheng Yu to see Bai Qian. Cheng Yu requests Bai Qian to pass a message to Feng Jiu that she wants to meet her. Bai Qian tells Ye Hua that she loves him. She wants to go ahead with their wedding. Ye Hua is moved by her words. But he is also worried about what Bai Qian would do if Qing Cang is to break out of his seal. So, Ye Hua instructs his officer to keep an eye on the bell and to report only to him should there be any abnormalities.

Su Jin hears from the palace maid that Bai Qian is adding something to Ye Hua’s tea. She goes to Ye Hua’s mother and plants doubts in her mind about Bai Qian. Le Xu then pays a visit to the couple and raises her suspicions about the tea Ye Hua is drinking. But she finds out from him that it is just some nourishing elixir that Bai Qian had obtained from Zhe Yan. Le Xu is relieved and is open to moving forward their wedding. The Heavenly Lord is informed. But while they make preparations for the wedding, Ye Hua also has to go to the mortal realm for a trial because he had destroyed the Chingzhou’s beasts which is the Heavenly Father’s creation.

Episode 49

Bai Qian tells his second brother that she wants to get married and to inform their parents. Since she will be the Crown Prince’s consort, she proposes that they choose Feng Jiu to take over her position as Queen of Qing Qiu. She also informs Feng Jiu that Cheng Yu wants to meet her. Le Xu delegates the wedding preparations tasks to Su Jin. But she is told that the date has not been set because Ye Hua needs to go to the mortal realm for his heavenly trials.

Ye Hua arranges for Bai Qian to meet the other deities as his consort. The way to the meeting place seems familiar to Bai Qian and she experiences flashes of a blind woman feeling her way to Zhuxian Terrace. But the flashes are gone in an instant. Ye Hua informs Bai Qian that they will have to postpone their wedding until he returns from his heavenly trials. Bai Qian makes him promise not to betray her and to look for her in Qing Qiu when he is back. She gives him the Soul Jade before he leaves.

Mo Yuan’s Story

Mo Yuan’s soul is no longer in the body of the West Sea prince. It has returned to his own immortal body at a cave in Qing Qiu. The bell at Kunlun Mountain starts chiming to signify his return. Qing Cang is confident of breaking out from his seal soon as Mo Yuan’s spirit has vanished from the bell. Bai Qian meets her awakened master and both are overwhelmed with emotions. Mo Yuan enquires whether a man who resembles him has appeared. Bai Qian informs him there is and he is her fiancee.

Mo Yuan explains that he is his twin brother. His mother was supposed to give brith to twin sons but almost suffered a miscarriage. Only the eldest, Mo Yuan, was successfully delivered. His father used up half of his powers to turn the second twin into a celestial fetus in the form of a golden lotus. Mo Yuan was instructed to take care of it and hopefully, the fetus will be revived one day. It was finally awakened after Mo Yuan sacrificed his spirit to seal up the Bell Of East Emperor. Mo Yuan wants to meet Ye Hua. But Bai Qian informs him that Ye Hua has gone to the mortal realm.

Feng Jiu goes to 9 Heavens to meet Cheng Yu who informs her that DIjun is going to face a calamity. She is worried and unashamedly hugs Dijun when she sees him.

Episode 50

Feng Jiu tells Dijun that she wants to accompany him before he faces his calamity but he is curious where she had gotten the information from. Her father happens to drop by and sees his daughter hugging Dijun. Mo Yuan and Bai Qian return to Kunlun Mountain together with Zhe Yan and Bai Zhen. His disciples are overjoyed to see him. Bai Qian also makes known to her disciple brothers that she is Si Yin. Mo Yuan has a chat with Zhe Yan about Bai Qian. Zhe Yan relates to him how Bai Qian had fed him blood from her heart to preserve his body. He suspects Mo Yuan has feelings for Bai Qian as a woman rather than as a mere disciple.

Dijun’s Rejection

Feng Jiu keeps trying to get close to Dijun. But he is cold towards her. Dijun tells Feng Jiu that he has lived for a long time and has gone through much. So, he is not who he appears to be and is emotionless. Feng Jiu seeks solace from Cheng Yu. Then, Si Ming informs them that they are mistaken to assume that Dijun will be undergoing a calamity. This embarrasses Feng Jiu. Her father also goes to see Dijun to try to propose a marriage for his daughter. But Dijun turns him down. When Feng Jiu finds out from Dijun that her father had begged him to marry her, she finally let go because of the embarrassment she had caused her father. Si Ming tries to speak on Feng Jiu’s behalf but Dijun tells him that they are not fated to be together.

With the rumours of Qing Cang’s impending return, the loyalty of some general in the Ghost Realm towards Li Jing becomes suspect. Li Jing goes to Xiwu Palace to try to meet Ye Hua. However, Ye Hua is undergoing his heavenly trials in the mortal realm. While there, Li Jing also finds out about the impending marriage of Ye Hua and Bai Qian.

Mo Yuan appears distracted especially when the topic of Bai Qian’s marriage is brought up. Bai Qian is still clueless about Mo Yuan’s actual feelings for her. While cleaning the elixir cauldron, her disciple brother mentions to her about Ye Hua being in Kunlun Mountain one night to create an elixir while appearing severely injured.

Episode 51

Bai Qian tells Mo Yuan that she will always remember his kindness and be filial to him as her master. She also makes a trip to the mortal world to check on Ye Hua who is now a little boy. Bai Qian tells the little boy that they have a marriage arrangement in 10 years time and not to forget their agreement. Feng Jiu goes to Kunlun Mountain to look for Bai Qian. She is heartbroken over Dijun’s rejection of her. According to Zhe Yan, Dijun foregoes love and affections for the sake of all the realms.

Bai Qian tries to talk to Feng Jiu to give up on Dijun. She wants her to return to Qing Qiu to take over her position as the Queen. But Feng Jiu is reluctant because that would mean she wouldn’t be able to see Dijun anymore. Li Jing visits Kunlun Mountain and learns that Mo Yuan is back. Since he couldn’t meet Ye Hua, Yan Zhi suggests that he should visit Mo Yuan and let him know about Qing Cang. But Li Jing doesn’t want to do so because he knows Bai Qian will seal the bell herself if she finds out. So, Li Jing decides to do it himself in 7 days.

Zhe Yan informs Bai Qian that Mo Yuan is still weak and will need to seclude himself for meditation the next day. So, Bai Qian goes to see Mo Yuan before he does so. They have a little chat. Mo Yuan enquires whether Ye Hua has been treating her well. Bai Qian says yes as Ye Hua is very sincere towards her and it is different from how Mo Yuan treats her. Mo Yuan keeps his feelings for Bai Qian a secret.

Episode 52

Su Jin goes to the mortal world to look for Ye Hua. She takes on the identity of his cousin to be close to him. Back at the Celestial Palace, she is also carving a wooden figure that resembles Su Su.

Bai Qian tells Mo Yuan that she preserved his body with her heart’s blood because he is her benefactor. She is willing to sacrifice her life for him if she needs to. She also admits that she used to think that she would live in Kunlun Mountain forever but that was before she met Ye Hua. When Mo Yuan asks her whether she knows why he had worked so hard for 70,000 years to return, she thinks it is because he did for all his disciples he cared about. A Li visits Bai Qian at Kunlun Mountain and everyone then knows she is now a mother.

Feng Jiu’s Pain

Feng Jiu is heartbroken and refuses to be Qing Qiu’s Queen. But Mi Gu feels that she should take up the position because that will give her more opportunities to go to 9 Heavens to discuss official matters. Then, she will be able to meet Dijun. Feng Jiu thinks Mi Gu’s advice makes sense. Si Ming brings Feng Jiu an ancient record from the Celestial Palace. In it, Dijun’s name has been removed from the Rock of Three Incarnations which registers destined marriages. So, any romance that Dijun will have would be ill-fated. His decision to go to the mortal world was a chance for him to offer love to Feng Jiu. According to Si Ming, Dijun is not as cold as he appears to be.

Feng Jiu rushes to see Dijun after hearing from Si Ming. She asks him about the Rock of Three Incarnations. Dijun confirms that his name is not on it and he will not have any relationships with anyone. Feng Jiu cannot accept the fact. She cuts her fox tail as it could be transformed into a magic artifact at will. She wants to use it to carve his name on the rock. Feng Jiu rushes to the Rock of Three Incarnations. Dijun’s name couldn’t be found on it. Instead her name is listed as married to someone else. She tries to change it but couldn’t. In the end, she falls unconscious due to her injury.

Mi Gu brings Feng Jiu to Kunlun Mountain to look for Bai Qian and Zhe Yan for treatment. Cutting off her tail would result in intense pain and could have killed her. Bai Qian is angry at Dijun when he drops by to visit Feng Jiu.

Episode 53

As Dijun carries Feng Liu is his arms, she talks about their time in the mortal realm in her dreamy state. When Dijun leaves, he requests that his visit be kept hidden from Feng Jiu. When Feng Jiu wakes up the next day, she thinks that Dijun’s visit is a dream. She also resolves not to give up on her love. Zi Lan leaves Kunlun Mountain to take up his guard post at the Sea of Innocence. While he did tell Bai Qian that he has someone he loves, he refuses to tell her more of his story with Yan Zhi.

Su Jin completes the carving of her wooden figurine resembling Su Su. She uses her magic spell to send Su Su to the mortal world to take care of Ye Hua. She does this to make Bai Qian jealous and doubt Ye Hua’s love for her. When Bai Qian visits Ye Hua in the mortal world, she notices Su Su serving him. Su Jin appears to emphasize to Bai Qian that the person Ye Hua ever loved is Su Su. That is why he has an impression of her even if he is now a mortal with no recollection of the past. Su Jin is confident that Bai Qian would leave Ye Hua sooner or later.

Bai Qian returns to Peach Tree Woods feeling doubtful and sad. She begins to feel that Ye Hua might be seeing her as a substitute for Su Su and starts drinking. Although Bai Qian knows she shouldn’t concerned herself with a dead woman, she believes that the person Ye Hua has in his mind is Su Su and not her.

Episode 54

Feng Jiu tries to advise Bai Qian and they talk about breaking off the engagement if Ye Hua loves Bai Qian only because she resembles Su Su. Bai Qian continues to drink in her room and shoos Feng Jiu away. When she tries to shut off all the lamp lights in her drunken state, she knocks over the Soul Gathering Lamp which breaks into pieces. The remnants of Su Su that have been accumulated inside the lamp scatter out and then get absorbed back into Bai Qian. As a result, Bai Qian recovers her memories and realizes she is Su Su. She also feels all the hardships and pain she had endured as Su Su while at Celestial Palace.

Gaining Revenge

Bai Qian questions Feng Jiu who has visited her as a fox at the Hall of Beautiful Youth. Their stories tally with each other and Bai Qian informs Feng Jiu that she is Su Su. It was her heavenly trial before her ascension as a High God. Bai Qian decides she should get back her eyes from Su Jin. She rushes to Xiwu Palace with Feng Jiu trailing behind. But Feng Jiu is stopped at the entrance from entering the 9 Heavens. Bai Qian seeks out Su Jin and demands back her eyes. She carves it out of her when Su Jin refuses to do so herself. As for framing her for the Zhuxian Terrace incident, Bai Qian gives Su Jin a choice of jumping into the opening or volunteering to guard the Bell Of East Emperor at Ruoshui Riverbank before she leaves.

Ye Hua Returns

Bai Qian feels she can’t marry Ye Hua anymore as she recalls the pain she endured no matter the reason for him to do what he did. Su Jin demands to see the Heavenly Lord to complain about what Bai Qian did to her. Dijun and Si Ming notices Feng Jiu at the entrance of 9 Heavens and she quickly tells them what has happened. Feng Jiu is let in and rushes over to argue with Su Jin who is still twisting the facts to accuse Bai Qian. At the same time, Ye Hua completes his trial in the mortal realm and wakes up at Kunlun Mountain. Mo Yuan relates to Ye Hua his background. While Ye Hua is still in the golden lotus form, Bai Qian used to look after him while she was a disciple there. Mo Yuan mentions that perhaps their romance is fated.

Dijun offers to hear Su Jin’s case as both sides are giving conflicting account of the events. The Heavenly Lord and both parties agree for Dijun to give them a fair hearing.

Episode 55

Ye Hua returns to the Celestial Palace to find out that Bai Qian has recovered her memories as Su Su. But he is pressed to attend to Su Jin’s case. Ye Hua requests for Yuan Zhen and the Su Su figurine to be brought to the hearing. When the truth is exposed about Su Jin framing Yuan Zhen for molestation as well as her indulgence in witchcraft, Dijun suggests that they shouldn’t go any further. If they start discussing Bai Qian’s case, Dijun feels that Qing Qiu might end up holding a grudge against them. As it is, Su Jin’s crimes is enough to land her a heavy punishment. The Heavenly Lord decrees that Su Jin would be sent to guard the Bell Of East Emperor.

Feng Jiu takes the opportunity to ask Dijun a hypothetical question that if he didn’t remove his name from the Rock of Three Incarnations, would he have fallen in love with her. He refuses to answer. Feng Jiu then says she will follow him around until he gives her an answer.

Lover’s Misunderstanding

Ye Hua goes to look for Bai Qian at Qing Qiu. But Bai Qian refuses to see him. Ye Hua remains at the entrance and refuses to budge even after 7 days come rain or shine. In her room, Bai Qian is also feeling miserable as she drinks continuously. She questions the real reason Ye Hua married her 300 years ago. Was it because he was betrayed by Su Jin when she became the Heavenly Lord’s side consort? She also doubts how much love he has for her and if his devotion after Su Su died is due to guilt. Bai Qian is afraid of the answers.

Qing Cang’s Spirit

Li Jing uses his powers and blood to summon Qing Cang’s spirit from the bell. The increased activity in Ruoshui Riverbank attracts attention. Dijun goes over to take a look with Feng Jiu following him. With his loss of powers, Dijun is unable to check what is going on inside the bell. He orders for Zhe Yan to be summoned as they need someone with soul tracking skills. Feng Jiu offers to do it. She could feel Qing Cang’s spirit is no longer inside the bell. Li Jing has successfully summoned it back to Ghost Realm. While Qing Cang’s spirit cannot hurt Li Jing, his weapon is able to do so as they fight it out.

Episode 56

Li Jing is killed by Qing Cang and he adds more cultivation power to his body. Feng Jiu is flung away from the bell and is injured. Dijun asks Mo Yuan to be summoned to seal up the bell but changes his mind and asks for Bai Qian instead as Qing Qiu to nearer to Ruoshui Riverbank. Dijun wants Feng Jiu to return to Qing Qiu for safety reasons but she refuses. She insists on being with Dijun in life and death. Si Ming goes to Qing Qiu to get Bai Qian’s help. Ye Hua follows them to Ruoshui Riverbank.

Final Battle

Su Jin who is supposed to guard the bell timidly runs away from her duties as trouble looms. Bai Qian wants to fight it out with Qing Cang but Ye Hua pulls her back and refrains her. Ye Hua takes on the responsibility instead. He battles it out with Qing Cang in the sky. Eventually, Qing Cang is defeated. But Qing Cang has connected his life to the bell. If he is dead, the bell would kill everyone in sight. As Qing Cang collapses and dies, the bell opens and sucks everyone up. Ye Hua flies up and offers his spirit to close up the bell. As he floats back down, he dies in Bai Qian’s arms.

Bai Qian is devastated and cannot be consoled. She doesn’t want to let go of his body and thinks she could do the same as she had done to Mo Yuan’s body earlier. Bai Qian then takes Ye Hua’s body back to Qing Qiu. She refuses to give his body back to the Celestial Tribe when asked to do so. Su Jin is banished from the 9 Heavens and stripped of her celestial status for eternity by the Heavenly Lord for running away from duty. Dijun and Ye Hua’s parents make a trip to Qing Qiu to demand for his body. Le Xu tells Bai Qian that her son had suffered enough because of her and she has no right to hang on to his corpse. They want to have him buried in the Sea of Innocence.

Episode 57

Bai Qian agrees to release Ye Hua’s body. Before she does so, she speaks privately to him and tells him that she can’t keep him in Qing Qiu as promised as that would create problems between their 2 tribes. She also says that she has forgiven him and that her heart had softened when he waited at her entrance for days to see her. With that, she gives Ye Hua one last kiss. Ye Hua’s body is put into a crystal coffin and carried off. Bai Qian’s request to attend his burial is turned down as the place is a sacred ground of the Celestial Tribe.

Feng Jiu finally gets her answer from Dijun on her hypothetical question. Dijun tells her that he would have loved her if he didn’t remove his name from destined marriages. Then, he turns around and leaves. Bai Qian keeps grieving over the Ye Hua’s death. She dreams about him often and in her dreams, they would be talking to each other. In one dream, Ye Hua is telling her about Su Jin and that he never had any feelings for her. Bai Qian has also erected a cenotaph in Ye Hua’s memory and would talk to him there. She tells him to come to her dream often.

3 Years Have Passed

3 years later, Feng Jiu succeeds Bai Qian as the Queen of Qing Qiu. Bai Qian has been traveling with her brother. During her coronation ceremony, Feng Jiu still thinks of Dijun. With her status as Qing Qiu’s Queen, she is wistful that she won’t be able to go to Taichen Palace to see Dijun freely. Dijun’s coronation gift to her is a legendary map of the world. The message is that the world has changed and the places in the map have also ceased to exist. In other words, there is nothing that they should cling to.

Bai Qian and Bai Zhen are wandering around in the mortal world. They bump into Zhi Yue who wants to borrow money from them. Then, they notice Su Jin who is having a tough time and arguing with a man who wants to divorce her.

Episode 58

Bai Qian thinks that Su Jin’s punishment is too harsh. But neither would she care as Su Jin has nothing to do with her anymore. As Bai Qian and Bai Zhen sit down at a tea stall, they meet Yan Zhi. They chat for a little while about old times. Then, Bai Qian hears A Li calling out to her. He complains that Bai Qian has not been visiting him for the last 3 years. Bai Qian tells her son that she has been sleeping and has just woken up from her dream. A Li is on his way to pay respects to Ye Hua. She follows him there. Bai Qian kneels in front of Ye Hua’s coffin and tells him to take a break from his duties. When she falls asleep there, she dreams of Ye Hua again.

The Re-Awakening

After the trip, Bai Qian goes back to the mortal world to hang around a teahouse. An auspicious sign emerges in the Celestial Palace. Zi Yan reports that a strong energy is circulating around Ye Hua’s coffin. They suspect perhaps he isn’t dead. The Heavenly Lord orders Zi Lan to ask Mo Yuan to inspect the coffin. Mo Yuan uses his powers to open it up and raises Ye Hua’s body. Ye Hua wakes up from his slumber. Mo Yuan tells him that Bai Qian has been waiting for him for 3 years and to look for her at the cenotaph she erected in Peach Tree Woods.

Zhi Yue looks for Bai Qian at the teahouse to return the money she borrowed. Zhi Yue relates the story of his cousin to her and it begins to sound very much like Ye Hua’s story. She tells Bai Qian that her cousin isn’t dead. Bai Qian rushes to Xiwu Palace but is told by the maids that he is dead to her utter disappointment. On her way out, she stumbles into Mo Yuan.

What Happened To Ye Hua

Bai Qian is told that Ye Hua had in him half of his Heavenly Father’s powers in his primordial spirit when the latter created the Golden Lotus. Then, when Ye Hua defeated the Yingzhou beasts which were the creations of the Heavenly Father, he obtained the other half. Ye Hua must have used up all of these powers to seal the Bell Of East Emperor. The clash damaged his primordial spirit and hence, he fell into slumber. But his crystal coffin and burial ground offered a sacred place for healing which helped to speed up his re-awakening. Bai Qian finds Ye Hua again at Peach Tree Woods. They hug and are overwhelmed by emotions.

Yan Zhi visits Zi Lan at Kunlun Mountain. She brings along Li Jing’s child to thank Zi Lan for being her life saver. The child is actually a girl although Xuan Nu had always made it seemed that the baby is a boy. In the end, with a heavy heart, Zi Lan requests Yan Zhi not to look for him again. Bai Qian still thinks that she is in a dream. Ye Hua recalls every detail of their journey and assures her that it is not a dream.

Other Dramas To Check Out

If you like xianxia dramas, then do check out The Untamed. To me, this also belongs to the must-watch list. While it is not about romance like Eternal Love, there is a subtle element of boys’ love in the drama. The other drama that is worth checking out is Legend of Fuyao which also stars Yang Mi. So, if you are a fan, you can’t miss it. It is longer than Eternal Love with 66 episodes but there are people who prefer the Yang Mi and Ethan Juan pairing than the one with Mark Chao. Hence, why not watch it and compare the 2 then? 🙂
