My Love, Enlighten Me Episode Summary

My Love, Enlighten Me (暖暖请多指教) sounds kind of romantic for a drama title! So, I’m looking forward to a sweet love story here which I hope to be the case. After watching a string of romance dramas in a row that includes Well Dominated Love and Mr. Honesty, it will be good if this one could offer something unique. Well, at least, not another office romance theme. Anyway, let me begin and as I watch, I will also write up the episode summary with the My Love, Enlighten Me review to follow.

Episode 1

Nuan Nuan, Han Xue, and Jia Yi are good friends and members of a girl band called Unparalleled.
The management company’s owner, President Xu, only wants to promote Jia Yi.
Han Che is a Visual Director with hyperthymestic abilities which enables him to remember vast amount of information. He just returned from abroad to be in charge of stage lighting in a singing reality show.
Han Che has a run-in with Nuan Nuan backstage.
During Unparalleled’s performance for a singing reality show for newbies, Han Che ensures only Jia Yi gets the spotlight as agreed with President Xu.
Jia Yi betrays Nuan Nuan and Han Xue by colluding with the management to sing solo halfway through their performance.
Nuan Nuan and Han Xue are fired by the management for quarreling with Jia Yi after the show. They have to move out from the company’s dormitory.
Han Che has vague recollections of someone who had helped him in the past. He thinks she is Jia Yi which is why he helped her during the show and destroyed Han Xue and Nuan Nuan’s career in the process.
Fang Han Chen is sad to see Nuan Nuan go. She is moving into Han Xue’s unoccupied old house and thinking of getting a job since her dream to be a singer has been halted.
Han Che is actually Han Xue’s younger brother. He goes back to the family’s old house and runs into Nuan Nuan.

Episode 2

Han Che is angry with Nuan Nuan for throwing away some things from the house and causing the kitchen to flood. She moves out to avoid giving him trouble.
The next day, Han Che finds a hair clip that belongs to Jia Yi. He also discovers that Nuan Nuan didn’t throw away his stuff after all.
Jia Yi comes by to look for Nuan Nuan but she has moved out. Han Che returns the hair clip to her.
Nuan Nuan couldn’t get suitable work. She is offered a sales assistant job at a boutique by the manager when she goes in there to take shelter from the rain.
Han Xue is angry with Han Che for being cruel to Nuan Nuan which forced her to move out.
Fang Han Chen argues with President Xu about Nuan Nuan and is ordered to take a break.
Han Che asks Nuan Nuan to go home as she sits with her suitcases in the rain and feeling dejected. But he lays down numerous conditions for living in the house. They find it hard to get along with their different habits.
Nuan Nuan takes up the sales assistant job. She gets scolded on her first day at work for changing the mannequins’ clothes without permission.
Jia Yi contacts Nuan Nuan and they meet up. But Nuan Nuan still finds it hard to accept Jia Yi’s betrayal.
Han Che asks Nuan Nuan to go shopping for household items. He saves her from being accused of shoplifting with his photographic memory.
Han Che and Nuan Nuan then saves a cat which has been hit by a motorbike and brings it to the vet. He sees Nuan Nuan’s photo with the hair clip in her purse.
Han Che is seeking therapy for his hyperthymesia.

Episode 3

Han Che tells his subordinate, Gu Li, that he may have made a mistake about his benefactor.
Nuan Nuan’s colleague teaches her how to sell clothes to customers but the way she misleads them makes Nuan Nuan uncomfortable.
Han Che is invited to Jia Yi’s birthday party. Han Xue and Nuan Nuan also decide to attend.
Nuan Nuan quietly keeps the cat they saved as a pet. To avoid being evicted for going against Han Che’s house rules, she challenges him to a memory game. If she wins, she will get to stay with her kitten.
Han Xue notices Gu Li at Jia Yi’s birthday party. She learns that her brother had destroyed her and Nuan Nuan’s career.
Manager Liu tells Nuan Nuan that President Xu has frozen Fang Han Chen’s work because he sided with her.
During the party, Han Xue and Nuan Nuan make things embarrassing for Jia Yi. Han Xue asks Jia Yi to jump into the pool if she wants them to forgive her. Jia Yi does so and the 3 of them resume their friendship.
Han Che has confirmation from Han Xue that it was Nuan Nuan who took care of him when he was down with high fever following his grandmother’s death.
Han Che is angry that he got the wrong person. Gu Li tells Han Che that he is angry because he likes Nuan Nuan.
Nuan Nuan faces pressure to improve her sales record at work. Her fashion advice to customers bear fruit.
Han Che spies on her at her workplace and realizes how hard she has to work after being forced to change career.
Han Che loses the memory game to Nuan Nuan when she chooses recalling lyrics as her category. Hence, she gets to stay with her cat.

Episode 4

Nuan Nuan manages to become the 2nd best performer at her boutique.
Nuan Nuan’s mother, Ms. Su, drops by to visit her and stays temporarily at her place.
Gu Li keeps claiming he is passing by each time he sees Han Xue. He helps to drive her around for auditions.
Han Che is courteous towards Nuan Nuan’s mother which surprises Nuan Nuan. Her mother also thanks him and Han Xue for taking care of Nuan Nuan.
Han Che assembles a team with Gu Li’s help for the Dunhuang project which is close to his heart.
President Xu refuses to renew Fang Han Chen’s contract. He is distressed as his album is only half complete.
Ms. Su goes to look for Manager Liu to discuss about Nuan Nuan’s contract termination. Nuan Nuan rushes to stop her mother from embarrassing her futher.
Nuan Nuan ends up quarreling with her mother as she thinks her mother is just worried about her pride that her daughter is a failure.
Fang Han Chen asks Han Xue if she knows her brother is the culprit who broke her and Nuan Nuan’s dream. She admits it is Han Che’s doing but tells him not to inform Nuan Nuan as it will only push her to move out when she has nowhere else to go.
Ms. Su asks Han Che to look for Nuan Nuan as she had run away after quarreling with her. When Han Che finds Nuan Nuan, he sees that Fang Han Cheng is already comforting her.
Nuan Nuan is selected to join a training at the company’s headquarters. She returns to the boutique with a shop design idea but gets rejected by the manager. She then asks Han Che about it but is told that she will not be able to afford it.

Episode 5

Han Che gets his team to implement Nuan Nuan’s ideas at her workplace which results in greatly improved sales. Director Fu is impressed with the branch’s performance.
Nuan Nuan is moved by her mother’s note to her which she has written before she departs for home.
Nuan Nuan thanks Han Che for helping her. When he tells her that he owes her, he is referring to her dashed dreams but she thinks he is referring to his harsh attitude when she first moved in. Hence, he is surprised at Nuan Nuan’s generosity in forgiving him.
Nuan Nuan also tells Han Xue about her brother’s apology. Han Xue finds it ironic that Nuan Nuan is forgiving him but keeps quiet about the actual reason.
The boutique manager selects Nuan Nuan to accompany her to attend the company’s national purchasing fair.
Gu Li saves Han Xue from being sexually harassed during an audition.
Han Xue and Nuan Nuan invite Jia Yi and Fang Han Chen over for a hotpot dinner.
Gu Li catches Han Xue when she falls while hanging up some lights. Nuan Nuan and Han Che go shopping for groceries for the hotpot dinner. They have a disagreement over his hatred for parsley.
Han Che and Fang Han Chen eye each other with suspicion. The latter is uncomfortable that Nuan Nuan is living with Han Che.
Nuan Nuan and Han Che fall on top of each other onto the bed due to her cat. They hide when Han Xue and Jia Yi approach. Jia Yi wants to buy something for Han Che for helping her. She seems interested in him. Han Xue suggests that she gives herself to Han Che instead.
Everyone finds out that Nuan Nuan and Han Che were on the bed earlier during a game.

Episode 6

Nuan Nuan asks Han Che to help her to look after her cat as she needs to go to the purchasing fair for her boutique.
Nuan Nuan manages to attract attention during the fair with her flair for fashion. She also convinces her manager to buy a man’s suit.
Nuan Nuan’s manager is happy that Nuan Nuan has helped her to increase the boutique’s sales.
Han Che bumps into Jia Yi at a hotel. She is escaping from having to entertain a man and Han Che steps in to help her. Jia Yi asks Han Che if he looks down on her to which he only replies that he respects her.
Nuan Nuan returns from the fair and meets Fang Han Chen. He has made it to an awards presentation show for his song.
Nuan Nuan’s cat escapes when Han Che opens the door. He has to go and look for it. When he returns, he sees Nuan Nuan coming home with Fang Han Chen. She argues with Han Che over the cat and his lack of courtesy towards Fang Han Chen.
Nuan Nuan’s senior is jealous over Nuan Nuan’s continued success at work and gives her a hard time.
Han Xue seeks Nuan Nuan’s advice on what to wear for her up-coming interview. Nuan Nuan stays overnight at her place to overhaul her wardrobe.
Fang Han Chen lacks presentable clothes for the awards ceremony. Nuan Nuan quietly takes the suit from her boutique to lend it to him. But he couldn’t return it on time when he has to give interviews after his win.
Han Xue couldn’t perform her role well during a shoot and gets sidelined.
Nuan Nuan is accused of stealing when the suit a VIP customer wants is missing.

Episode 7

Han Che appears just in time after Nuan Nuan calls Gu Li for help. He claims Nuan Nuan has sold him the suit and is now paying for it. When Han Che finds out the suit is being worn by Fang Han Chen, he feels angry and jealous.
Gu Li keeps Han Xue company at the shooting location. He is full of emotions as he confesses his feelings when he pretends to be the actor to help her practice her lines.
Fang Han Chen goes to Nuan Nuan’s place to return the suit. Han Che accuses him of putting Nuan Nuan at risk. When Nuan Nuan arrives home, she plays down the incident to avoid making Fang Han Chen feels bad.
Han Che accuses Nuan Nuan of stealing. She feels angry with his offensive words but she also knows that he is right. Han Che also feels guilty for being harsh.
The manager advises Nuan Nuan to quit to avoid being investigated as someone has sent a report of her theft to the headquarters.
President Xu now wants to renew Fang Han Chen’s contract with his rising popularity. But his condition is they need to re-employ Nuan Nuan as stylist.
Manager Liu persuades Nuan Nuan to take up the job so that Fang Han Chen will sign the new contract. Han Che is not happy to hear about the job offer and thinks she is moving out.
Nuan Nuan is affecting Han Che to the point that he couldn’t sleep. He tells his psychiatrist that he is losing control and needs to stay away from her.
Director Fu offers Nuan Nuan a marketing job. He is willing to give her a second chance.
Han Che questions whether he is that hard to get along with.

Episode 8

Han Che thinks Nuan Nuan is moving out and can’t figure out why. He avoids her by bunking in with Gu Li.
Nuan Nuan starts work as a marketing intern. The other 2 interns are Gao Ming and Alison. Only 1 of them will be confirmed at their end of their internship. Nuan Nuan has the lowest qualifications among them.
Nuan Nuan is given the task to ask Jia Yi to share the company’s marketing post. Jia Yi agrees but they will need Manager Liu’s permission.
Nuan Nuan and Gao Ming goes to see Manager Liu but he rejects her request unless they are paid to do the promotional post. But Fang Han Chen is willing to help her for free. Nuan Nuan declines to re-join the management company although Fan Han Chen tries to help her. She wants to learn and gain experience first before becoming his stylist.
Alison manages to get Jia Yi to share the post because her father is a good friend of President Xu.
Han Che and Gu Li go outstation for a business trip. Nuan Nuan misses having him around.
The interns have to convince a difficult celebrity to wear their clothings on stage. Only Nuan Nuan could do so with her fashion advice and President Fu hears of her good work.
Han Che bumps into Jia Yi while outstation. She invites him to have lunch together. Although he agrees, he doesn’t seem to have much interest in her.
Gu Li gets drunk and goes to Han Che’s room who couldn’t sleep as he keeps thinking of Nuan Nuan. Gu Li tells Han Che that he loves Han Xue. Han Che learns what love is from Gu Li and realizes that he actually loves Nuan Nuan.

Episode 9

Nuan Nuan learns where Han Che has gone to through Gu Li’s social media post. Han Che finally messages Nuan Nuan as well and keeps her company through a gaming app.
Nuan Nuan has to deliver brochures to some of the company’s boutiques.
All the 3 interns have their own strengths. Director Fu and his manager are aware of Nuan Nuan’s talent but they still need time to monitor her performance.
The director tells Han Xue that she has no acting talent and should reconsider her plans in the industry. He has given her a role merely because of his relationship with her father.
Director Fu and some of his staff are at a karaoke club to entertain a client, Mr. Hu. Nuan Nuan is also there along with Alison and Gao Ming.
Han Che is also at the club with his team after returning from his business trip and notices Nuan Nuan.
Mr. Hu keeps insisting that Nuan Nuan drinks with him. She entertains him until he tries to make her wait for him in his car. She rejects his advances. Han Che appears and gives Mr. Hu a beating before dragging Nuan Nuan home.
Han Che wants Nuan Nuan to quit. They quarrel over it until Nuan Nuan starts crying and says she is afraid of failing. She is trying hard to find out what she really wants to do. Han Che comforts her.
Han Xue gets drunk at a disco and she makes Gu Li drinks too. Gu Li sends her home and they end up sleeping together. The next morning, Han Xue pretends not to remember what happened the night before which pushes Gu Li to do the same. He feels disappointed.

Episode 10

Nuan Nuan thought that she will be fired because of the Mr. Hu incident. However, Director Fu supports her for standing by her principles.
Han Xue confides in Nuan Nuan and Jia Yi about her one night stand with Gu Li. She also asks Jia Yi about her progress with Han Che which leaves Nuan Nuan feeling a little uneasy.
Nuan Nuan’s cat has given birth to 3 kittens. Han Che allows her to keep them all. He blushes when she hugs him in delight.
All the 3 interns must prepare a report of their experience which will be used to gauge who can stay. She comes back late from work to find that Han Che has made her a cookies ferris wheel.
Nuan Nuan passes the first round of elimination with a report on plus-sized clothings. Gao Ming quits.
Fang Han Chen invites Nuan Nuan to listen to his new song and dinner. He wants her to be more open to him but she talks about Han Che and the new kittens instead. Someone captures their photo and the gossips start.
President Xu is angry with Fang Han Chen’s behavior. But Fang Han Chen assures Nuan Nuan that the management company will handle the matter and he wouldn’t be able to see her for the time being.
Nuan Nuan and Alison have to help Kevin to come up with a concept design and promotional video for a project. Alison prefers to work on her own. Nuan Nuan talks to the clothes designer to find out her thinking behind her designs.
Han Xue is envious of Nuan Nuan as the latter has found her passion.
Han Che attends a meeting with Director Fu and his team including Nuan Nuan. He is responsible for the visual art for a promotional project.

Episode 11

Han Xue tells Gu Li that she wants to quit acting. She feels Han Che is right that she is not cut out for showbiz.
Nuan Nuan is being ordered around to do menial tasks. Han Che calls out to her to join him in the meeting room so that she could quietly do her own work.
Han Che advises Nuan Nuan to fight for what she wants to do and not get over-ridden by others.
The company has divided the clothes and accessories photoshoot assignment between Alison and Nuan Nuan respectively.
Manager Liu advises Fang Han Chen not to see Nuan Nuan to avoid jeopardizing his career.
Nuan Nuan bought flowers for her photoshoot assignment. But Alison uses them all for her clothes section and leaves little time for Nuan Nuan to complete her part. Han Che helps Nuan Nuan to finish her assignment as the photographer.
Nuan Nuan is happy that Han Che knows exactly what she wants for her photos. She falls asleep on his shoulder on the ride back home.
Director Fu is inclined to pick Nuan Nuan over Alison. But he is facing pressure to retain Alison due to her father’s influence.
All the female staff are eyeing Han Che and want to have lunch with him. He purposely gives them indication that he is living together with Nuan Nuan.
Nuan Nuan meets Director Lie who heads the design department and sees her in action. Director Lie is a difficult boss and no one can work long as her assistant.
Nuan Nuan is interested to learn designing. She asks Han Che for advice. He tells her she will only succeed if she dares to try.
Nuan Nuan asks Director Fu for a transfer to be Director Lie’s assistant. No one expects her to last long.

Episode 12

Director Lie is not satisfied with Nuan Nuan’s lack of qualification. She sends her to the garment manufacturing facility to get acquainted with the materials and production.
Han Chen wants an outdoor visual display for their Dunhuang project but Gu Li disagrees.
Nuan Nuan faces harsh working conditions under Director Lie who is stern and demanding. She has to manually replace all the buttons on a consignment of dresses and then ordered to look for different types of buttons from the market.
While hunting for buttons, Nuan Nuan buys a pair of cufflinks with the initials H.C. for Han Chen.
Han Xue is pregnant with Gu Li’s child. She confides in Nuan Nuan her predicament but is unwilling to tell Gu Li. Han Xue takes it out on Gu Li during dinner at Nuan Nuan’s place. She doesn’t know how to face him and finds it weird to be involved with her younger brother’s friend.
Han Che and Jia Yi notice the cufflinks when the box falls out from Nuan Nuan’s bag. Han Che assumes it is for Fang Han Chen as they share the same initials. Jia Yi suspects that it could be for Han Chen.
Director Lie wants a special material for her design. When Nuan Nuan suggests a similar material to be more or less the same, Director Lie harshly threatens to fire her.
Nuan Nuan complains and cries in front of Han Che. But instead of offering comforting words, he tells it like it is. This annoys Nuan Nuan.
The next day, Nuan Nuan is determined to look for the material Director Lie wants. This brings her to the outskirts and she is almost kidnapped by a man. Han Che rushes to look for her. Nuan Nuan falls off a slope after escaping from the kidnapper.

Episode 13

Han Che is frantic as he looks for Nuan Nuan in heavy rain. He finally finds Nuan Nuan and pulls her up to safety. She tells him her ordeal and he comforts her.
Fang Han Chen is also worried about Nuan Nuan.
Nuan Nuan has lost the cufflinks when she fell down the slope. She asks Han Che to help her to look for it. Han Che is angry at first as he thought the cufflinks is for Fang Han Chen. When Nuan Nuan shyly tells him that it is a surprise gift for him, he kisses her on the lips.
Nuan Nuan and Han Che proceed to look for Mr. Gu who is the master at making the special material called Kesi. But Mr. Gu is not willing to entertain them.
Gu Li seeks answers from Han Xue about her change of attitude towards him. He admits that he remembers having sex with her. Han Xue informs him that she is pregnant.
Gu Li tells Han Xue that he has made plans for their future. Han Xue is surprised as she is thinking of abortion which she assumes is what Gu Li wants too. But Han Xue’s pregnancy turns out to be a false alarm. She is relieve and happy but Gu Li is severely disappointed.
Han Che shares his past bitter experience with Nuan Nuan due to his hyperthymestic condition. He regrets not being with his grandmother when she died.
Nuan Nuan and Han Che try their best to gain Mr. Gu’s cooperation. She helps him to cook his late wife’s favorite dishes for her death anniversary.
Mr. Gu finally listens to Nuan Nuan to pick up making Kesi again as it will connect him to his late wife. He presents her with some samples.

Episode 14

Nuan Nuan manages to get the material supply sorted. She also begins dating Han Che and realizes he is the one she loves.
Director Lie is satisfied with Nuan Nuan’s effort. She formally accepts her into the design team.
Fang Han Chen confesses his feelings to Nuan Nuan and asks her to be his girlfriend. She turns him down because of Han Che but he insists that she thinks it over. He is willing to wait for her.
Nuan Nuan is about to tell Han Xue about her relationship with Han Che. She stops when Han Xue mentions about Jia Yi being interested in her brother.
Nuan Nuan suggests Fang Han Chen to be the model for the company’s promotion during a meeting. Han Che is jealous and suggests Jia Yi should be the model instead. Director Lie accepts his suggestion.
Director Lie wants some input from Jia Yi for her clothes design. Jia Yi seeks designing lessons from Han Che through Nuan Nuan.
Gu Li has not been updating his social media account. Han Xue is curious about his silence. She drops by her brother’s studio when she learns Jia Yi and Nuan Nuan are there.
Gu Li ignores Han Xue and is even rude to her. It is a complete change in attitude that Han Xue starts to feel neglected.
Nuan Nuan tells Jia Yi that she has no feelings for Han Che as she knows Jia Yi also loves him. Han Che overhears the conversation and is furious. Nuan Nuan is clueless as to why he is angry with her.
Jia Yi tries to express her feelings to Han Che. Photos of them together become viral. Manager Liu wants Nuan Nuan to pretend to be the girl in the photo to save Jia Yi’s career.

Episode 15

Han Che wants to openly clarify their relationship to stop the gossips but Jia Yi says she is willing to let it be.
President Fu is worried that the gossips will derail their project.
Nuan Nuan offers to follow Manager Liu’s suggestion to pretend to be Jia Yi in the photos to save the project. Nuan Nuan and Han Che are made to pose the same way to mimic the earlier photos of him and Jia Yi.
Han Che holds her while posing and they can feel the emotions between them. But once Fang Han Chen’s name is mentioned, Han Che becomes cold again.
Jia Yi is not happy about Han Che and Nuan Nuan’s photos. She learns from Fang Han Chen that Han Che has feelings for Nuan Nuan and vice-versa. Jia Yi vows not to give up.
Han Xue notices that Gu Li and his colleague, Naomi, is getting close and feels jealous. Naomi advises Gu Li to put on a show to make Han Xue realize his importance.
Nuan Nuan’s design for one of Jia Yi’s dresses is accepted by Director Lie. She is happy although the designer credit will belong to Jia Yi.
Han Xue decides to become a receptionist in Han Che’s studio to monitor Gu Li. She sees Gu Li in a different light when he protects her from some falling parcels. But they still quarrel when Gu Li stops her from checking out some of his stuff as they are baby items.
During the photoshoot, Manager Liu asks Nuan Nuan to prevent Jia Yi from standing together with Han Che. So, she ends up being the intermediary.
Han Che shows Jia Yi how she should express herself on one scene. Nuan Nuan is uneasy seeing them physically close together and almost kissing.

Episode 16

Nuan Nuan is angry when Han Che picks her up. He tries to kiss her in the car but she pushes him away at first. However, she still can’t resist and pulls him in to kiss him.
Jia Yi admits to Manager Liu that she is interested in Han Che.
Halfway through dinner with the crew, Han Che disappears. He is bidding for the dress Nuan Nuan designed and modeled by Jia Yi.
News leaked that the dress worn by Jia Yi and auctioned off is not designed by her but Nuan Nuan. Her management company threatens to sue and Nuan Nuan is pressured to clarify that Jia Yi designed the dress.
Nuan Nuan is dejected and cries uncontrollably for having to give credit to Jia Yi for her own work. Han Che cheers her up by surprising her with the dress she designed. He had successfully bid for it. Fang Han Chen was also bidding for the dress but his assistant tripped on the cable and shut down his laptop.
Nuan Nuan and Han Che are becoming more loving as a couple.
Nuan Nuan’s colleague, Bi Qi, is getting jealous of her as she is beginning to attract Director Lie’s attention.
The company’s designs have been leaked to a competitor. The design department has to come up with new designs for the season and is short of time. Nuan Nuan shows Director Lie her rough sketches that she has been keeping. They are accepted which infuriates Bi Qi. Director Lie thinks Nuan Nuan has talent in the industry.
Nuan Nuan also has to do market coordination as they are short of staff. She needs Fang Han Chen’s help and informs Han Che about it. Han Che is agreeable to her decision.

Episode 17

President Liu is impressed with Director Lie’s work. A fashion show for the new designs are in the works.
Jia Yi thinks Han Che bids for the dress because of her. Fang Han Chen haas a tiff with Han Che over Nuan Nuan. Jia Yi intercedes so that Fang Han Chen can drag Nuan Nuan away.
Nuan Nuan admits to Fang Han Chen that she is now with Han Che.
Han Che is jealous and wants to announce their relationship but Nuan Nuan is reluctant.
Director Fu sees Director Lie as a rival for promotion.
Han Xue tells Nuan Nuan that she isn’t sure what her feelings for Gu Li are although she is not happy about his change of attitude towards her.
Director Lie praises Nuan Nuan for her talent and gives her a dress as a gift. Bi Qi is jealous.
Just hours before the show, all the models’ shoes are found to have broken heels. Nuan Nuan changes the theme of the show to suit the models’ barefooted look.
The show is a success and Nuan Nuan’s efforts are applauded.
Jia Yi asks Han Che about his feelings for her after the show. Nuan Nuan overhears them talking and finally learns Han Che helped Jia Yi during the singing show. Fang Han Chen takes a crying Nuan Nuan away.
Han Xue comforts Nuan Nuan. She tells her that Han Che loves her but Nuan Nuan believes it was all about repaying his gratitude to his benefactor.
Jia Yi asks Han Che for an explanation. He clarifies that he had mistaken her as the person who had helped him in the past due to her hair clip and was repaying his gratitude. He has never loved her. Jia Yi finally realizes she has no chance with him.

Episode 18

Director Lie resigns because of the broken shoes incident. She is also tired of the office politics.
Nuan Nuan moves out of Han Che”s house. He says he will compensate her for his mistake but she becomes more disillusion with his mention of compensation.
Fang Han Chen offers Nuan Nuan his apartment for her to stay but she declines to his disappointment. She also left her house keys in his car.
Han Xue quarrels with Gu Li over her brother’s treatment of Nuan Nuan.
Han Che gets the security footage to prove that the shoes incident is a sabotage. He passes it to Fang Han Chen who also returns Nuan Nuan’s house keys to him. Fang Han Chen claims that Nuan Nuan has broken up with him.
The saboteur turns out to be Bi Qi. President Liu declines to investigate as he can’t afford to lose any more personnel.
Nuan Nuan sends the footage to the marketing department chat group before quitting. She suspects Director Fu was involved.
Han Che faints from frequent headaches. His psychiatrist wants him to go for his scheduled operation. But Han Che insists that the has more important work to do.
Han Xue sees Gu Li’s box of baby items and is touched. She wants Gu Li to revert to their old form of relationship but he rejects her request. Nuan Nuan suspects Gu Li wants to be Han Xue’s boyfriend instead of younger brother.
Fang Han Chen offers Nuan Nuan to be his stylist for a new reality love show. But he is disappointed that Nuan Nuan doesn’t seem to have feelings for him.
Fang Han Chen messages Han Che to tell him that he will help Nuan Nuan fulfills her dream. Han Che asks Han Xue for help to woo back Nuan Nuan.

Episode 19

Nuan Nuan starts work as a stylist for Fang Han Chen and Jia Yi for their reality show. Both Nuan Nuan and Jia Yi agree that they would not let their personal disagreements affect their work. Jia Yi is not sorry for loving Han Che but also glad that her rival is Nuan Nuan as her friend has a chance at happiness where she fails.
Han Xue drinks with Nuan Nuan until they are drunk. She sends Nuan Nuan back to Han Che’s place.
Han Che takes care of the drunk Nuan Nuan for the night. The next morning, Han Che apologizes to Nuan Nuan but they quarrel again as he tends to say the wrong things.
Nuan Nuan has to work with Zong Ying, the senior stylist for the show. She has no experience dressing celebrities for filming and needs to learn from Zong Ying.
Han Che keeps thinking of Nuan Nuan. She also couldn’t sleep at night and keep checking her phone for his message until she accidentally texts him something gibberish. Han Che keeps wondering what the text means.
Nuan Nuan makes a mistake as she is unaware that she needs to take into account the lighting on the set when deciding what clothes the celebrities should wear. Fang Han Chen helps her out by offering to remove his dark jacket to get the desired effect.
Han Xue dresses up as Sailor Moon to surprise Gu Li on his birthday. Naomi is playing spoiler again to anger Han Xue. But both Naomi and Gu Li think it is time to stop as overdoing it could backfire.
Fang Han Chen and Nuan Nuan go back to the hotpot restaurant they used to frequent when they were trainees. Han Che sees their social media post of them lunching together.

Episode 20

Han Che leaves to look for Nuan Nuan at the filming site.
The director begins to accept Nuan Nuan’s ideas instead of Zong Ying’s.
Nuan Nuan has to run and get wet in the rain to retrieve some clothes for the next scene. She begins to feel unwell.
Gu Li invites Han Xue to lunch. He puts up a pretense with Naomi but Han Xue begins to realize they are testing her and turns the tables on them.
Nuan Nuan is admitted to hospital because of fever. Fang Han Chen wants to see her immediately but Jia Yi stops him. She wants him to finish their filming first.
Han Che is at the hospital to take care of Nuan Nuan. Fang Han Chen and jia Yi see them hugging when they drop by to visit her.
Gu Li invites Han Xue to the disco where the nature of their relationship started to change and relive that night. He finally has the courage to express his feelings for Han Xue. She is moved by his words and they become a couple.
Nuan Nuan resumes work and offers her suggestion for the last scene to the director who accepts her idea over Zong Ying’s with a little help from Han Che.
Han Che boldly holds Nuan Nuan’s hand to signal to Fang Han Chen that they are back together.
Han Xue confirms her relationship with Gu Li on her social media account which makes him happy.
Everyone heads to a karaoke club after shooting ends. Han Che drinks on Nuan Nuan’s behalf.
Fang Han Chen expresses his feelings for Nuan Nuan again. Han Che drags her away.

Episode 21

Nuan Nuan sends a drunk Han Che back to the hotel. He becomes mushy and says things that touch Nuan Nuan’s heart. They kiss in the taxi.
Nuan Nuan stays with Han Che for the night. The next day, Han Che wants to remain with Nuan Nuan despite her need to work. He offers to be her assistant.
Everyone is surprised that Han Che is at the filming site and working as Nuan Nuan’s assistant. Fang Han Chen is not too happy with his presence.
Nuan Nuan has a small part in the reality show as Jia Yi’s best friend. But the actor who is supposed to play Fang Han Chen’s friend couldn’t make it to the set. Hence, they rope in Han Che as a substitute.
Han Che and Fang Han Chen have a part whereby they challenge each other to a game of basketball which becomes pretty intense.
The 4 of them are also filmed talking about the first time they met each other. Han Che and Nuan Nuan’s story and their reaction seem really sweet.
After the filming, Han Che’s has a sudden headache which comes and goes. He hides it from Nuan Nuan.
Han Xue joins a dance company to become a dance instructor.
2 weeks later, the shooting completes. Han Che and Nuan Nuan return home to a double date with Gu Li and Han Xue.
At home, Han Che is having headache again. His doctor wants him to go for surgery as soon as possible as there is a tumor in his brain.
Han Che is afraid he will lose his memory and wants to spend more time with Nuan Nuan to do the things she loves.

Episode 22

Gu Li informs Han Xue about the seriousness of Han Che’s sickness. Han Xue is worried.
Nuan Nuan and Han Che go on a date and enjoy happy times together.
Nuan Nuan’s work is getting recognition and the reality show garners great feedback.
Han Che announces to his team that he is taking a break to go for his surgery in Beijing.
Fang Han Chen and Jia Yi decide to go separate ways in their reality show despite missing out on endorsements if they pretend to be together. Jia Yi is thinking of the long term in her decision.
Fang Han Chen finally accepts that Nuan Nuan doesn’t require his love and protection anymore as she has grown from the time they first met as trainees. They remain as best friends.
Nuan Nuan finds out about Han Che’s illness when she accidentally sees his medical records. They quarrel over it when Han Che doesn’t want Nuan Nuan to accompany him to Beijing.
Nuan Nuan cries when she sees Han Che’s records of her successes and the moments spent with her.
Han Xue accompanies her brother to Beijing for the surgery. Nuan Nuan makes her own way there.
Nuan Nuan is distressed when she hears from Han Che’s attorney while Han Che is in surgery. He has written his will to give her some of his possessions.
Han Che’s surgery is a risky one with possible memory loss and paralysis. Fortunately, the operation is a success.
Nuan Nuan takes care of Han Che as he recovers although they still argue childishly with each other.

Episode 23

Han Che is discharged from the hospital. But there is still a risk of side effects.
Nuan Nuan is still angry with Han Che for hiding his illness and disallowing her to accompany him. She wants to move out now that he has recovered.
Han Xue and Gu Li try to make Nuan Nuan stay. Han Che uses the rental contract to force Nuan Nuan to remain as she needs to pay penalty if she moves out without notice. So, she has to stay for the next 3 months.
After 1 month, Nuan Nuan returns to her hometown. Her mother has set a blind date for her.
Han Che goes to Nuan Nuan’s hometown to look for her and try to impress her parents.
Nuan Nuan’s father is reluctant to accept Han Che at first. But Han Che manages to slowly work his way to earn his approval after a few weeks.
Nuan Nuan notices that Han Che is beginning to have lapses in memory.
Han Che opens up to Nuan Nuan’s parents about his condition. Her parents immediately disapprove of their relationship. Nuan Nuan argues with them over their decision. Han Che understands their worries and leaves Nuan Nuan.

Episode 24

Nuan Nuan doesn’t want Han Che to let go of her. She vows to be with him even if he loses his memory of her. She also recorded a clip and made a scrap book of their time together which moves Han Che. Nuan Nuan tells him that she will accompany him for his therapy.
Nuan Nuan’s parents change their mind and support Nuan Nuan’s relationship with Han Che.
Han Che and his team works hard on the Dunhuang project. Nuan Nuan joins as his assistant.
Nuan Nuan is inspired by Han Che’s work whereby everyone can enjoy his creation. Her dream is to create a fashion app that would allow every woman to be a celebrity in her world.
Han Che wins an international award for the Dunhuang project. He helps Nuan Nuan to set up her own studio to create her app. Director Lie and Han Xue join her team.
One year later, Nuan Nuan is invited to be the stylist for a new batch of trainees. She shares with them her experience.
Fang Han Chen is planning for his solo concert. Nuan Nuan wants him to reserve 2 tickets for her. He and Jia Yi have become top celebrities and fans see them as a couple.
Han Xue asks Jia Yi and Fang Han Chen about their rumors during a get together. Jia Yi says she doesn’t mind if it is true while Fang Han Chen seems agreeable. Jia Yi also wants to participate in Nuan Nuan’s app as the endorser with a share of the profits.
Han Che proposes to Nuan Nuan. He has also recovered his perfect memory. Nuan Nuan doesn’t give him a firm reply but makes him asks her again and again. Finally, he has had enough and drags her to the registry.

Other Dramas With Cute Couples

In romance dramas, some couples are good-looking while others are simply cute and sweet like Nuan Nuan and Han Che in My Love, Enlighten Me. If you are into the latter category, there are a few dramas that I can think of which you might also enjoy. The first one would be The Romance Of Tiger And Rose which is a funny rom-com starring Ryan Ding and Zhao Lu Si. Apart from the cute couple, the plot for this drama is also unique which is a departure from the usual princess story.

The second rom-com you could check out on would be Put Your Head On My Shoulder. Although this isn’t really my cup of tea, there are plenty of fans for this drama because of the cuteness of the main couple. This belongs to the college romance genre which means it would resonate best with the younger viewers. The third and last one that I should highlight here would be Go Go Squid! since this is another hugely popular production. The couple here is cute because of the vast personality and age differences between the main characters. Besides the romance, there is also a friendship sub-plot to give the drama more depth. So, do check it out if you haven’t done so!
