Episode 1

Ye Fei Mo is the handsome President of an entertainment company called Anning. He has an ex-girlfriend called Han Hui, a famous actress. His mother, Ms. Cheng, doesn’t want them to reconcile. She is afraid they will meet again as Han Hui will be back to the country soon. So, she arranges for different girls to try to get close to Fei Mo. Unfortunately, none of them succeeds.

Wen Xiao Nuan is an actress taking up very minor roles in all sorts of productions. She has a boyfriend called Jiang Fang who cheated on her. She finds him with a rich actress, Jiang Ling Er, whose brother is the CEO of a film company, Yaohua. Ling Er tells Xian Nuan that she should let Jiang Fang go as she is a burden to him.

The Meeting

Feeling miserable, Xiao Nuan gets drunk in a restaurant. When Fei Mo mistakenly enters her room, she kisses him thinking that she is Jiang Fang. Fei Mo feels a sense of familiarity. It reminds him of the time he was saved by a woman when he was drowning. After he gets out of the restaurant, he turns back to try to look for Xiao Nuan. But she has already left. Instead, he finds a brooch that she has dropped. The next day, Fei Mo gets a viral message out to look for Xiao Nuan but there is no response.

Ms. Cheng is curious about this girl her son is looking for. She gets her assistant, Zhou Xiao Jing, to hire Xiao Nuan to try to get close to Fei Mo as she looks like a younger version of Han Hui. In the meantime, there is a mole in Anning and Fei Mo suspects it is Lin Zheng. He tells his assistant, Gu Yun Zhou, that he will pretend to be sick and stay at home to encourage Lin Zheng to let down his guard in the office.

Xiao Nuan needs the money to save her family’s opera troupe. So, she decides to accept Xiao Jing’s job. Her mission is to make it to a function as Fei Mo’s girlfriend in 15 days. When Xiao Jing hears that Fei Mo is sick, Xiao Nuan is immediately asked to pretend to be a nurse to take care of him at home.

Episode 2

Fei Mo recognizes Xiao Nuan and moves close to her to ask her why she had not contacted him sooner. But she has no recollection of what she had done when she was drunk that night. Xiao Jing sees them nearly kissing and reports back to Ms. Cheng who is happy. But Fei Mo could see through Xiao Nuan’s pretence. He throws her out of his house.

Xiao Nuan tries all sorts of ways to get back inside but is unsuccessful. When she is made to leave, it begins to rain heavily. Jiang Fang bumps into her as he is looking at a property nearby with Ling Er. Fei Mo starts to feel uneasy with Xiao Nuan out in the heavy rain. He checks his security camera to see Jiang Fang with Xiao Nuan. Jiang Fang tells Xiao Nuan that he loves her and that he is with Ling Er for the sake of their future. Xiao Nuan does not accept his explanation and asks him to go.

Fei Mo looks for Xiao Nuan outside his house but couldn’t find her. The next morning, he finds her outside his door with high fever. Fei Mo carries her into his house and takes care of her.

Episode 3

Xiao Nuan rolls down from the couch to land on top of Fei Mo in her drowsy state. He lifts her back up. When Xiao Nuan is awake, Fei Mo tells her to leave when she feels better. But Xiao Nuan is determined not to leave and move her things into the guest room. She pretends that she is still sick but Fei Mo is smart enough to see through her lies. Xiao Nuan then convince him to let her stay. She tells Fei Mo that if she leaves, his mother would just set up another girl for him. Therefore, it makes more sense if she stays because then his mother would stop the continuous match-making.

Getting Slapped

Fei Mo agrees but then requests Xiao Nuan to cook for him instead. While shopping for groceries, her best friend, Jia Yi calls. Jia Yi is also an actress and she needs Xiao Nuan to take her place in a minor role as she is involved in an accident. Xiao Nuan agrees but unluckily for her, her role requires her to be slapped and the actress who will do the slapping happens to be Ling Er. As a result, Ling Er purposely does many takes and she slaps Xiao Nuan until her face is swollen. At the last take, Xiao Nuan shrewdly makes Ling Er lose her balance and fall as revenge.

Yun Zhou informs Fei Mo of the incident. Fei Mo asks for Ling Er to be replaced or his company will withdraw their investment in the production. After the filming, Ling Er confronts Xiao Nuan and is about to slap her again. Xiao Nuan stops her hand just in time. She stands up for herself and tells Ling Er that she can have Jiang Fang. Xiao Nuan also chides Ling Er that she is just humiliating herself with her actions.

When she reaches Fei Mo’s home, she notices an ice pack on the table and is pleasantly surprised. Then she cooks some porridge for him and the aroma brings him down to the kitchen. The taste is familiar and reminds him of the porridge that he had once eaten. Xiao Nuan tells him that the recipe comes from her father. Then, Fei Mo pushes Xiao Nuan’s hair aside to check for any birthmark on her shoulder because the girl who had once saved his life seemed to have one. However, he finds none.

Episode 4

Yun Zhou visits Fei Mo at his home and sees Xiao Nuan around. Overhearing Fei Mo and Yun Zhou’s cryptic conversations and watching their interactions, Xiao Nuan mistakenly believes that they are a gay couple. So, she dresses up as a man to try to attract Fei Mo while he is asleep in his chair. When she calls him softly, her voice again sounds familiar to a voice he had heard before when he was saved from drowning. Fei Mo then pulls Xiao Nuan close to him. She panics and runs away.

Playing A Trick On Jiang Fang

Jiang Fang wants to cooperate with Anning for a big project as he is dissatisfied for being given only minor projects to handle by Ling Er’s brother. Fei Mo agrees to a video call with him as he plans to get back at him for hurting Xiao Nuan. So, halfway through the video call, he gets Xiao Nuan to sit beside him and act intimately with her. Xiao Nuan is clueless about what Fei Mo is doing as he has shut off his screen with the video call still running.

Jiang Fang is angry and intends to find out about their relationship. He bribes Lin Zheng to check it out for him and for future favors. Yun Zhou and Fei Mo know Lin Zheng is up to no good. Hence, Fei Mo gives Lin Zheng the impression that he is having an intimate relationship with Xiao Nuan. Lin Zheng reports back to Jiang Fang about what he saw. Jiang Fang thinks it could be an advantage to have Xiao Nuan close to Fei Mo. Ling Er overhears Jiang Fang’s phone conversation with Lin Zheng. She orders for an investigation into what Xiao Nuan could be up to.

The Pretense

Fei Mo pretends not to like what Xiao Nuan has cooked although they taste delicious. He asks her to cook something else. When she leaves the house to shop for more groceries, Fei Mo finishes all the dishes on the table. When Xiao Nuan returns from her shopping and sees all the empty plates, Fei Mo claims that he has thrown everything away as they are yucky. On the contrary, he has eaten until he is too full and experiencing stomachache.

When Fei Mo’s house phone rings while he is in the shower, Xiao Nuan picks it up. She assumes it is one of his girlfriends who is after him and tells her about all his bad traits. Fei Mo overhears the conversation and gets mad at Xiao Nuan for picking up his phone and invading his privacy. They quarrel as he wants her to leave. Xiao Nuan then throws the apple that she is eating at Fei Mo.

Episode 5

Fei Mo collapses in pain. His doctor’s diagnosis is severe indigestion due to overeating. Xiao Nuan finds out that Fei Mo had finished all the food that she cooked earlier. She then takes care of Fei Mo throughout the night.

Ling Er complains to Jiang Fang that Fei Mo has replaced her as the actress in a drama just because she slapped Xiao Nuan. When Jiang Fang shows a bit of concern for Xiao Nuan, Ling Er goes on to claim that Xiao Nuan has seduced Fei Mo and is now living with him. Jiang Fang wants to confirm it himself.

Fei Mo returns the brooch that Xiao Nuan has dropped earlier. He tells her that she is not the girl that he has been looking for. When Xiao Nuan gets out of the house, she sees Jiang Fang. He accuses her of selling her dignity to be with Fei Mo. Xiao Nuan replies that he has no right to say that. She also gives him the brooch that was meant as a gift for him earlier to signify the end of their relationship. Photos of them are captured by a man hired by Ling Er who reports back to her.

Ms. Cheng notices Xiao Nuan at the supermarket and offers her a ride. Xiao Nuan only realizes she is Fei Mo’s mother when they reach home. Ms. Cheng likes Xiao Nuan as she is able to change her son’s cold behavior. At night, Fei Mo refuses to take the medicine that Xiao Nuan has prepared and pushes it onto the floor. Xiao Nuan goes out to buy more in heavy rain but is tailed by a man on the way home. She tries to call Fei Mo but there is no answer. Suddenly Fei Mo appears to protect her.

Episode 6

Ling Er is angry that her plan failed. Jiang Fang still thinks of Xiao Nuan but pretends otherwise in front of Ling Er. Fei Mo has a fever again after getting wet the night before while protecting Xiao Nuan. She takes care of Fei Mo but begins to feel awkward over her own feelings for him.

Jiang Fang wants Lin Zheng to steal a much sought after script from Anning. Fei Mo and Yun Zhou have their suspicions. Yun Zhou purposely brings the script to Fei Mo at his home and brings Yin Zheng along. Fei Mo discusses with Yun Zhou about the script which he feels is still missing something. At night, Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan have a chat while admiring the stars. Xiao Nuan then performs an opera song for Fei Mo. This triggers an idea in his head of what could be missing from the script.

Both Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan begin developing feelings for each other. Fei Mo arranges a special treat for Xiao Nuan the next day. It is also the last day of Xiao Nuan’s mission to make it as Fei Mo’s girlfriend to a party. Since she has yet to succeed, she plans to ask Fei Mo for help for her family’s opera troupe.

Lin Zheng calls Xiao Nuan and claims that Fei Mo needs her to bring the script that he has left at home to the office. So, she passes the script to Lin Zheng who then gives it to Jiang Fang. Yun Zhou witnesses it and informs Fei Mo. Later, Xiao Nuan is surprised by Fei Mo’s special treat at a hotel. But then a message appears that Jiang Fang has the script. Xiao Nuan wants to seek clarification from him.

Episode 7

Jiang Fang registers the copyright for the script he has stolen from Anning. Xiao Nuan accuses him of being despicable. Ling Er is about to slap Xiao Nuan when Fei Mo appears and stops her. Fei Mo tells them that the script that Jiang Fang has is a fake. It is all a set up. Fei Mo also has proof of his collusion with Lin Zheng. In return for not sullying Yaohua’s reputation, Fei Mo demands their cinema chains’ screening schedule to be reserved for his movie when released. Jiang Fang has no choice but to agree. He plans to make Fei Mo pay later. But he will need to get Han Hui on his side first.

Xiao Nuan is angry that Fei Mo has known all along about Jiang Fang. She feels that she has been made use of. They quarrel over it but Fei Mo manages to convince Xiao Nuan later that she still has a contract to fulfill which is to accompany him to Han Hui’s homecoming party as his girlfriend. Xiao Nuan agrees as she needs the money. Fei Mo chooses a dress for her which happened to be the one booked by Han Hui earlier. He also puts on a necklace on Xiao Nuan who is unaware that it is actually his family’s heirloom. Yun Zhou is surprised when he sees the necklace on Xiao Nuan. So does his mother and Xiao Jing.

Episode 8

Han Hui appears. She is now an international film star and Xiao Nuan’s idol. Jia Yi is also at the function and offends Mr. Xu, the heir of a media company as she is unwilling to accommodate his advances. A man tries to make a pass at Xiao Nuan. Fei Mo gets angry and tells him that she is his fiancee. Han Hui witnesses the incident and is unhappy that Fei Mo now has another woman beside him.

Han Hui’s homecoming party is organized by Yaohua. Jiang Fang gives a speech and is seen wearing the brooch that Xiao Nuan has given him. Fei Mo notices the brooch and gets jealous. He pulls Xiao Nuan closer to him. When Han Hui tries to talk to Xiao Nuan, Fei Mo quickly moves in and gets her away from Han Hui. His ex-girlfriend is jealous to see him and Xiao Nuan being close together. She feels that Fei Mo is merely using Xiao Nuan as a substitute to spite her. Han Hui tries to approach Fei Mo but he is cold towards her.

Yun Zhou notices Jia Yi. He wants to approach her to save her from Mr. Xu but overhears that she doesn’t like rich men. So, he gets the idea of pretending to be a waiter. Han Hui approaches Director Li to offer herself as actress in Fei Mo’s film project. But Director Li is cold towards Han Hui due to past animosity. He tells her that whoever jumps into the pool will get to be the actress. So happened that Xiao Nuan is standing at the edge of the pool and Ling Er pushes her out of spite. Xian Nuan falls into the pool and steals the limelight. Fei Mo covers up the wet Xiao Nuan.

Episode 9

With everyone watching, Fei Mo kisses Xiao Nuan and carries her to the dressing room. Jiang Fang drops by to talk to Xiao Nuan. He tells her that Fei Mo is a rich guy who will just hurt her and not to be fooled by him. Fei Mo then appears and pulls Xiao Nuan away. He accuses her of enjoying chatting with her ex-boyfriend and questions her about the brooch Jiang Fang is wearing. Xiao Nuan doesn’t like his insinuations and assumptions. Hence, she tells Fei Mo that she is indeed trying to get back together with Jiang Fang just to spite him. Then, Xiao Nuan turns and leaves to go back home to pack her belongings.

Fei Mo goes back home to find Xiao Nuan has moved out. He tries to call her but couldn’t reach her. Fei Mo begins to miss Xiao Nuan who has moved back to Jia Yi’s place. Jia Yi couldn’t get a ride home after the party because she has offended Mr. Xu. Yun Zhou pretends to be Director Li’s driver and sends her home. He makes up a sob story that he is also a waiter and holding a few jobs to make ends meet. Xiao Nuan is waiting for Jia Yi at the entrance and thinks that the driver looks familiar.

When Jia Yi questions Xiao Nuan about her feelings for Fei Mo, she has no answer. But Xiao Nuan still needs to return the necklace to Fei Mo. When she collects her pay from Xiao Jing, she passes the necklace to her. Xiao Nuan is then told that it is a family heirloom. She is surprised but then says that it should be returned as theirs is only a contractual relationship although she likes it very much.

Episode 10

Lin Zheng is sacked from his position. Fei Mo has been able to demand deep concessions from Yaohua for his upcoming movie. He replaced Lin Zheng with Maggie, a stern woman who doesn’t gossip. Xiao Jing returns the necklace to Fei Mo on Xiao Nuan’s behalf. Both Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan seem to miss each other. Fei Mo asks Yun Zhou to try to get information on Xiao Nuan through Jia Yi.

Yun Zhou pretends to be a hairstylist in the salon Jia Yi frequents. He strikes up a conversation with her about Xiao Nuan and reports back to Fei Mo that Xiao Nuan is interested in someone. However, Fei Mo is not likely to be that person. Fei Mo is also afraid that the person Xiao Nuan is interested in is Jiang Fang. Han Hui is happy when she hears that Xiao Nuan has moved out of Fei Mo’s home.

Xiao Nuan is working hard and taking up all sorts of minor roles as well as going for numerous auditions. Jia Yi feels sorry for her and secretly submits her resume to Anning. Xiao Jing informs Fei Mo about it. Fei Mo instructs that a contract usually reserved for top stars be prepared for Xiao Nuan and that he would personally handle it. He goes to see Xiao Nuan with the contract but she clarifies that she didn’t send in her resume. Xiao Nuan apologizes for all the misunderstandings between them from the very beginning, turns down his offer, and walks away.

Episode 11

Fei M moves in to the apartment above Jia Yi’s. Xiao Nuan comes home to find Yun Zhou around. Jia Yi has prepared dinner for Xiao Nuan and Yun Zhou is joining them. Yun Zhou begs Xiao Nuan not to expose his identity. But Xiao Nuan keeps hinting to Jia Yi at the dinner table that some people may not be who they claim to be by using analogies. But Jia Yi doesn’t seem to get the message.

Fei Mo could hear conversations and laughters from Jia Yi’s apartment. He gets jealous and knocks on her door. Xiao Nuan opens it and tells him to mind his own business when he raises a complaint that they are disturbing him. Fei Mo then calls Yun Zhou to arrange for a party in his apartment. This time, it is Xiao Nuan’s turn to knock on his door as she couldn’t sleep from all the noise. They bicker over it until the security guard warns them not to be so noisy. Xao Nuan then pretends that they are just having a lover’s quarrel.

Jia Yi is angry when she sees Yun Zhou at Fei Mo’s party. Yun Zhou thinks that his cover is blown but Jia Yi assumes that he is just doing some work for Fei Mo to arrange for the party. Han Hui still refuses to cooperate with Jiang Fang. He knows Han Hui is after Fei Mo and plans to cut off their relationship. Xiao Nuan’s brother, Wen Kai, gets entangled with some debt collectors. They come looking for Xiao Nuan. Jia Yi informs Yun Zhou. Han Hui goes to see Fei Mo to try to discuss about his movie project. But Fei Mo rushes off when he hears Xiao Nuan is in trouble.

Episode 12

Jiang Fang takes the opportunity to talk to Han Hui when she leaves Fei Mo’s office in disappointment. This time, Han Hui is willing to listen but emphasizes that she wants to see that they can trust each other first. Fei Mo and Yun Zhou chase away the debt collectors from Jia Yi’s home. He pays them back the money owed by Wen Kai. As a result, Xiao Nuan has no choice but to sign Fei Mo’s contract as she now owes him a big sum of money.

Fei Mo purposely sets rules for Xiao Nuan as one of Anning’s top contract artistes. One of the rules is she will be required to send a photo to Xiao Jing every night before bed at 11pm. He also makes life hard for her with difficult trainings with the thinking that it would provide opportunities for him to take care of her thereafter. He checks on her several times a day. But Xiao Nuan is determined to do what she has signed up for and refuses to entertain Fei Mo including offers of a ride home and having supper with him.

At night, Xiao Nuan sends a photo of herself to Xiao Jing as per the rules. Xiao Jing then forwards the photo to Fei Mo. But he is not satisfied and asks Xiao Jing to get Xiao Nuan to take another photo featuring a different expression. This goes on for several rounds until he sees a photo of Xiao Nuan that he likes!

Episode 13

Xiao Nuan finally requests Fei Mo to give her a ride to Anning as she is feeling sore from all the training. Fei Mo purposely stops at the front entrance to let everyone notice that Xiao Nuan has come to work with him. Fei Mo requests Xiao Jing to bring Xiao Nuan to Director Li’s film set to gain experience. Coincidentally, Director Li is dissatisfied with the actress’ performance and Xiao Nuan ends up impressing the director. He grants her an audition and decides to accept her for the Blue Sky Galaxy project.

Yun Zhou notices Jia Yi while at a cafe. He dons a panda costume to make her happy and she is touched by the gesture. Gossips circulate that Xiao Nuan has got the lead role in Blue Sky Galaxy due to Fei Mo. As Xiao Nuan is still a newcomer, Fei Mo is not comfortable with the choice. However, Xiao Jing asks him to have faith in her and Director Li’s foresight. Fei Mo then requests that they do a pilot film to test Xiao Nuan’s popularity first. When Fei Mo hears that the pilot film will involve a kiss scene, he feels uncomfortable choosing the actor. So, his mother proposes that he plays the role and he happily agrees.

During a function, Han Hui shoves Jia Yi during a photo session. She falls and sprains her ankle. Xiao Nuan helps her to the dressing room meant for top stars to sit down. When Han Hui turns up, she allows them to stay but then calls out to Ling Er to join them. To avoid a scene, Jia Yi leaves with Xiao Nuan. Han Hui purposely brings up Xiao Nuan’s success in being chosen as the actress for Blue Sky Galaxy to make Ling Er jealous.

Episode 14

Yun Zhou arrives to help Jia Yi to the hospital. When Jia Yi comments about his expensive coat, Yun Zhou cooks up little fibs again to keep Jia Yi ignorant about his identity to Xiao Nuan’s exasperation. When Fei Mo hears from Yun Zhou about Jia Yi’s case and the difficulties of wearing high heels all the time, it spurs him to shop for a pair of sneakers for Xiao Nuan. He also ends up buying a matching male pair. However, Fei Mo doesn’t want to be seen as purposely buying Xiao Nuan a gift. So, he causes a puddle at their residential entrance to create the opportunity to put on for her the sneakers he bought.

Xiao Nuan begins filming for the pilot film. When she finds out that there will be a kissing scene, she is excited because she assumes that her counterpart will be Anning’s top male actor. Han Hui is at Jiang Fang’s office when he tells her the news about Fei Mo’s involvement in Xiao Nuan’s pilot film. She rushes to the filming studio.

Xiao Nuan is shocked when she learns that the actor that she has to kiss is Fei Mo. She purposely eats pickled garlic before filming. Fei Mo couldn’t stand the smell and has to keep repeating the takes. Director Li suggests that they do a pretend kiss instead. Fei Mo agrees but Xiao Nuan gleefully tells him that he should be professional. This provokes Fei Mo into pulling Xiao Nuan into a kiss. Han Hui arrives at the set to witness the couple kissing.

Yun Zhou prepares for the launching of the pilot film. Xiao Nuan admits to Fei Mo that she is nervous. Fei Mo tries to reassure her in his cocky way. The pilot film is then launched.

Episode 15

The pilot film enjoys great success. Fei Mo is agreeable to let Xiao Nuan to be the lead actress for Blue Sky Galaxy. As the next day is Xiao Nuan’s birthday, her colleagues want to go to her place to celebrate with her. When Fei Mo learns about Xiao Nuan’s birthday, he pretends that he will be abroad on that day to give her a surprise later. Knowing that Fei Mo will not be around, Xiao Nuan feels relieved and goes ahead with her party.

Fei Mo turns up with a bunch of flowers at Xiao Nuan’s place but finds his staff around. During a game, Fei Mo is asked the taste of his most wonderful and impressive kiss. His answer is it tasted like ocean water and garlic respectively. Someone then knows that the garlic taste is the kiss with Xiao Nuan. She is embarrassed as they tease her. Fei Mo then claims that the garlic is to provoke his emotions for filming purposes to stop the teasing.

Keeping Up The Pretense

Jia Yi goes to Anning for an audition. Xiao Nuan tells her about Yun Zhou’s identity. Jia Yi says that she knows but has kept up the pretense because she wants him to be truthful to her. She bumps into Yun Zhou at Anning and this time, he pretends to be the security guard. Jia Yi tries to give him a chance to be sincere but he doesn’t know how to tell her the truth.

Ling Er complains to Jiang Fang about Xiao Nuan being chosen as the lead actress. She instigates the actor to withdraw from the film. Han Hui tells Jiang Fang that she will cooperate with Yaohua if he can get her to be the actress in Blue Sky Galaxy. With the lead actor’s withdrawal, Jiang Fang will have an excuse to change the actress. Both Han Hui and Jiang Fang share the same goal – to break up Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan.

Episode 16

Negative publicity about the film and Xiao Nuan begins to surface because of the lead actor’s withdrawal. Xiao Nuan feels pressured and unhappy. Jiang Fang confronts her and asks her to drop out of the movie because she won’t be able to withstand the pressure. He also tells Xiao Nuan that she is being a burden to Fei Mo and that only he can protect her. However, Xiao Nuan says to Jiang Fang that she doesn’t want to see him anymore and walks away.

Xiao Nuan admits to Jia Yi that she is under a lot of pressure but she is determined not to let down those who support her down. Fei Mo overhears their conversation. He tells Director Li to go ahead with what has been planned. Jiang Fang requests a meeting with Fei Mo. They meet while Fei Mo is sparring with his trainer in the boxing ring. Jiang Fang wants Fei Mo to replace Xiao Nuan with Han Hui. Fei Mo refuses. As they battle in the boxing ring, Fei Mo tells Jiang Fang that he is prepared to change the whole project from the ground up by replacing Yaohua. Jiang Fang lost the fight and informs Han Hui that she would have to step in to make Fei Mo change his mind.

Xiao Nuan Collapses

Xiao Jing informs Fei Mo that Xiao Nuan has been training non-stop. But he thinks it could be a way for Xiao Nuan to cope with the pressure. Xiao Jing also asks Fei Mo if he is seeing Xiao Nuan as a substitute for Han Hui as she does look like a younger version of his ex-girlfriend. Fei Mo refuses to answer. The next day, Xiao Nuan collapses from exhaustion. Fei Mo and Yun Zhou send her back home. Yun Zhou asks Fei Mo the same question that Xiao Jing had asked the night before. This time Fei Mo’s answer is no – Xiao Nuan is not Han Hui’s substitute.

Yun Zhou can no longer hide his identity from Jia Yi. But Jia Yi is still angry at him for lying to her. Yun Zhou asks her to follow him somewhere and drives her off. Fei Mo asks Maggie to investigate the reason for the lead actor’s withdrawal and finds out Han Hui and Ling Er’s role.

Episode 17

Yun Zhou brings Jia Yi to a garden full of pinwheels. He explains that he was afraid that she wouldn’t accept him. Hence, he lied to her about his identity. Jia Yi accepts his explanation and agrees to be his girlfriend. Xiao Nuan apologizes to Fei Mo. She feels that the actor’s withdrawal is because of her. Fei Mo tells her not to blame herself and that he has found another actor to take up the role.

Fei Mo seeks a meeting with Han Hui. He shows her the clip of her conversation with Ling Er in the dressing room. Han Hui claims that it is merely girls’ gossips and that she is willing to help him to be the actress in his movie project. Fei Mo is not impressed. He tells Han Hui to convince his mother if she wants to join Blue Sky Galaxy because the final say rests with her.

Han Hui calls Ms. Cheng to request a meeting. Ms. Cheng agrees and then asks Xiao Jing to bring Xiao Nuan to the dinner meeting. Xiao Nuan only finds out that Han Hui will be joining them when they reach the hotel. Han Hui is taken aback when she sees Xiao Nuan. She gives Ms. Cheng a diamond brooch but the latter passes it to Xiao Nuan instead. Ms. Cheng even refers to Xiao Nuan as her daughter-in-law.

Episode 18

Han Hui wants to talk to Ms. Cheng privately. But Ms. Cheng insists Xiao Jing and Xiao Nuan to stay. Han Hui then brings up Fei Mo’s love for her and Xiao Nuan finds out about their past relationship. Ms. Cheng clarifies that Han Hui had saved his life once. Fei Mo was immature then and didn’t know what love is. She warns Han Hui not to create rumors that will affect Xiao Nuan and her son. When Hua Hui directly asks to join Blue Sky Galaxy, Ms. Cheng tells her that it is Director Li’s call and not hers.

Han Hui leaves in a huff. Fei Mo is getting anxious over Xiao Nuan and rushes over to the hotel. He witnesses Han Hui confronting Xiao Nuan in the parking lot. Han Hui tells Xiao Nuan that she has underestimated her. But Xiao Nuan politely puts Han Hui in her place with her sharp words. Ms. Cheng is impressed after she quietly witnessed their exchange. She calls Fei Mo to tell him that she likes Xiao Nuan. Fei Mo sends Xiao Nuan home. During the ride, she recounts to Fei Mo the dinner with his mother.

Jiang Fang and Han Hui refuse to give up. Han Hui pretends to be drunk which forces Fei Mo to take her back to his place from the bar. Photos of them immediately circulate online which create rumors that they are in a relationship. The reason Han Hui and Fei Mo broke up is because she chose career over him. Han Hui was enticed with an opportunity in the US. It was arranged by Ms. Cheng and Han Hui always felt that it was a trick to split them up. At home, Fei Mo ignores Han Hui and locks himself in his room.

Episode 19

Xiao Nuan pretends that she is fine after reading the gossips about Fei Mo and Han Hui. She insists to Xiao Jing that she will go to Anning for her training as usual. They bump into Fei Mo and Han Hui in the lift. Xiao Nuan notices that Han Hui is wearing Fei Mo’s shirt. Han Hui comments that she thought Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan are a couple but she is just living downstairs from him. Xiao Jing advises Xiao Nuan to concentrate on her career and not to involve herself in relationships.

Yun Zhou advises Fei Mo that he should clarify the gossips because they could affect Xiao Nuan. Jiang Fang seeks a meeting with Fei Mo. He wants an explanation about all the negative publicity that is affecting Blue Sky Galaxy’s progress and wants Han Hui to be the lead actress if Fei Mo can’t find an acceptable replacement actor soon. But Fei Mo hints that all the problems seem to have arisen after Han Hui’s return and she has been meeting Jiang Fang often.

When Jiang Fang bumps into Xiao Nuan after his meeting with Fei Mo, he again reiterates to her that Fei Mo would desert her. But Xiao Nuan tells Jiang Fang that there is nothing between her and Fei Mo. Jiang Fang just wants to break them up even if he can’t have Xiao Nuan himself. Ling Er is pressuring Jiang Fang to get married. Director Li reassures Xiao Jing about the project and tries to show his concern towards her. Han Hui wants to go to return Fei Mo’s shirt. Fei Mo confronts Xiao Nuan to find out why she is avoiding him.

Episode 20

Maggie informs Fei Mo that Han Hui has come to the office to see him while he is talking to Xiao Nuan. He promises Xiao Nuan that he will give her a good explanation about the matter. When Han Hui sees Fei Mo, she claims that she didn’t know that the situation will turn out the way it did and that she is willing to cooperate with him to solve the problem. She also brings up the matter about having saved his life which has been a mystery to her when Ms. Cheng brought it up during their dinner earlier. Fei Mo’s answer confirms that he thought Han Hui had saved him when he had fallen into the water once. He also warns her not to hurt Xiao Nuan.

Yun Zhou Angers Jia Yi

Before she leaves Anning, Han Hui again tries to run down Xiao Nuan which makes her feel miserable. Jiang Fang feels guilty and is pressured to marry Ling Er as she is trying her best to become a good wife to him. Jia Yi gives up on his date with Yun Zhou to accompany Xiao Nuan. They end up in a cafe. Xiao Nuan confides to Jia Yi that she saw Han Hui spending the night at Fei Mo’s place. She also recounts her time together with Fei Mo. Jia Yi feels that Xiao Nuan has already fallen for Fei Mo. A moment later, they see Yun Zhou and Fei Mo coming in and occupy the next partition.

They could hear their conversation. Fei Mo mentions to Yun Zhou that Han Hui was drunk that night. Yun Zhou then tells Fei Mo how he pursued Jia Yi and he enjoyed the pursuit as much as her. He goes on to say that girls are easy to please and other superficial things. Jia Yi gets mad and they quarrel over it. Xiao Nuan is still unwilling to give Fei Mo a chance and is ignoring him. Fei Mo turns to the internet to try to look for answers on how to get a girl to talk to him.

Episode 21

Xiao Nuan invites Jia Yi to go to a meteor shower to cheer her up. Fei Mo tries to get ideas on how to please a girl from Maggie by claiming that he is asking for a friend. Maggie’s advice is to give the girl a sense of security because gossips will damage a relationship. So, Fei Mo drags Xiao Nuan to the riverside for a boat ride while Yun Zhou takes her place to meet Jia Yi for the meteor shower. However, Jia Yi is not willing to forgive Yun Zhou when he apologizes. She tells him that she doesn’t want to be deceived again and that she couldn’t trust him.

During the boat ride, Fei Mo tells Xiao Nuan that he trusts she has the ability to be the lead actress for Blue Sky Galaxy. He also hopes she can trust him that there is nothing between him and Han Hui. Fei Mo confesses that she has brightened his days and that he wants her to be the galaxy of his sky. They spend the night on the boat. On the way home, Fei Mo tells Xiao Nuan to get ready for her role as the actor has been found.

The shooting for Blue Sky Galaxy begins. Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan can only communicate via messages. Jia Yi is still angry at Yun Zhou and refuses to see him. Fei Mo drops by the filming site and gossips start that he is there to see Xiao Nuan. Jiang Fang informs Han Hui that Fei Mo has gotten the famous Mo Xiao Bai to be the leading actor. He suggests that they push the gossips about her relationship with Fei Mo again to achieve their goal. As the gossips intensify, Han Hui purposely visits the filming site.

Episode 22

Fei Mo gives a press conference to clarify that all the gossips about his personal relationship is untrue. Just as Han Hui confronts Xiao Nuan at the filming site, Fei Mo’s press conference goes viral. Han Hui is stopped by her assistant from lashing out at Xiao Nuan with everyone looking on. Xiao Bai secretly visits the filming site to find out who is Xiao Nuan to satisfy his curiosity. Xiao Bai is Fei Mo’s cousin. Just as he is watching Xiao Nuan from a distance, he notices Han Hui approaching her.

Xiao Nuan Is Hurt

Han Hui purposely causes a lighting equipment to fall onto Xiao Nuan. Xiao Bai rushes over to carry the unconscious Xiao Nuan to rush to the hospital. Gossips begin to circulate about Xiao Bai and Xiao Nuan. Fei Mo is worried about Xiao Nuan as he waits for her to be out of surgery. Han Hui goes to the hospital and sees Fei Mo. She claims that she didn’t mean to hurt Xiao Nuan but Fei Mo doesn’t believe her. Han Hui vows that nobody can take Fei Mo away from her.

Ling Er’s brother reminds Jiang Fang that his position at Yaohua could be easily taken away if he fails to bring in Han Hui. Director Li knows that Xiao Jing is worried about Fei Mo’s interest in Xiao Nuan because he might see her as a substitute for Han Hui. But he suggests that Fei Mo could indeed change because of Xiao Nuan just as he has changed because of Xiao Jing. Xiao Bai promises his aunt that he will help to bring Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan together.

Fei Mo refuses to admit to Xiao Nuan that he purposely comes by to see her. He tells her to rest and not to worry about the shooting. Yun Zhou also drops by to visit Xiao Nuan. He sees Jia Yi but hides until she leaves before he goes in to meet Xiao Nuan. He pleads with Xiao Nuan to help him to reconcile with Jia Yi. She agrees. Jiang Fang comes across a script with a similar storyline as Blue Sky Galaxy.

Episode 23

Xiao Bai visits Xiao Nuan at the hospital. He informs her that he is Fei Mo’s cousin. Xiao Bai also relates to her how anxious Fei Mo was when he found out she was injured. Fei Mo is embarrassed when he happens to drop by and overhears Xiao Bai’s account of his anxiety then. Jiang Fang shows Han Hui the script that is similar to Blue Sky Galaxy. He will let her be the lead actress in the movie if she joins Yaohua. Han Hui agrees to cooperate.

Jiang Fang drops by to pay Xiao Nuan a visit. He tells her that he just wants to give her a better future with his actions. But Xiao Nuan replies that she respects his choice but he should also respect hers and leave her alone. Fei Mo is outside her room and could hear their conversation. When Jiang Fang asks Xiao Nuan if she has fallen for Fei Mo, she tells him that it is her private matter and has nothing to do with him. Outside her room, the 2 men meet. Jiang Fang reminds Fei Mo that he and Xiao Nuan have known each other since childhood and he knows all her likes and dislikes. He is confident that Xiao Nuan will come back to him. This spurs Fei Mo to interrogate Xiao Nuan about all her likes and dislikes over 2 days.

Xiao Bai’s Exasperation

Wen Kai and Xiao Bai have a tiff when they are at the hospital parking lot as both do not know each other. They have another disagreement when they are in Xiao Nuan’s room as each wants her to eat the food they brought. Xiao Bai is also exasperated that Fei Mo has yet to express his feelings for Xiao Nuan. Yun Zhou notices Jia Yi at a hotel lobby and suspects something is amiss. Later, he saves her from Mr. Xu who tries to force himself on her in the hotel room. He assures Jia Yi that she can trust him.

Fei Mo buys Xiao Nuan her favorite crayfish lobster. He peels them for her to eat. She also relates to Fei Mo her time at Fusheng Theatre which is located by the sea and how she had saved a few people from drowning then. Looking at her and hearing her story, Fei Mo is very sure that Xiao Nuan is not a substitute for Han Hui. She is unique to him.

Episode 24

Han Hui signs up with Yaohua and will be the lead actress for Milky Way. During the press conference, she hints that Xiao Nuan relies on connections to get the role in Blue Sky Galaxy and that she hopes Xiao Nuan would not feel too much pressure since the 2 movies have similar themes. When Xiao Nuan sees the news, she is motivated to continue with the shooting. She decides to re-join the production team to quickly complete the project.

Wen Kai and Xiao Bai keep fighting with each other although both have the same hope of seeing Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan be together. Fei Mo is worried over Xiao Nuan’s injuries and visits her at home. With Wen Kai and Xiao Bai arguing non-stop, he brings Xiao Nuan into her room instead. Xiao Nuan wants Fei Mo to support her decision to continue with the filming as it is her proudest moment to be able earn the trust of the cast and director. Fei Mo agrees.

Jia Yi is at a cafe when she sees Mr. Xu hiring some thugs. She is afraid for Yun Zhou and follows them. Jia Yi helps Yun Zhou to beat up the thugs to escape. She then kisses him as they reconcile. Ling Er wants to do a live show of her wedding with Jiang Fang. Their impending marriage becomes social media news. The last scene for the Blue Sky Galaxy is a wedding scene. Fei Mo drops by to see the filming. Xiao Nuan’s acting looks real as she rehearses her lines with Fei Mo in mind. The filming wraps up. Director Li holds Xiao Jing’s hand when she congratulates him. Then, they take a group picture as Fei Mo observes happily from the back.

Episode 25

During the dinner to celebrate the end of filming, Xiao Bai keeps provoking Fei Mo into confessing his feelings for Xiao Nuan. But Fei Mo still finds it hard to express his feelings despite being given the opportunity. Later, he carries a drunk Xiao Nuan home. He wants to confess then but she has already fallen asleep.

Jiang Fang receives compliments for his Milky Way project from Yaohua’s management and directors. Ling Er is looking forward to their wedding. But Jiang Fang doesn’t seem enthusiastic. Ling Er becomes angry when Jiang Fang couldn’t seem to be bothered when she is choosing the wedding ring. He manages to calm her down and assures her that he is ready to marry her.

Yun Zhou helps Jia Yi to break her contract with Yaohua and tells the agent not to contact her anymore. Xiao Bai helps his aunt to set up Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan again. Ms. Cheng invites Xiao Nuan to her place for a meal and then tells her son to drop by. Xiao Bai turns up and purposely makes Fei Mo jealous again. This time Fei Mo pulls Xiao Nuan outside and finally confesses her feelings for her. He kisses her but she is taken aback and runs off as she feels shy. With his mission accomplished, Xiao Bai suddenly feels a little sad. He decides to go back to the US.

The next day, Fei Mo learns that Xiao Nuan has gone for an advertising shoot to a secluded place for a month. He misses her.

Episode 26

Fei Mo is in a bad mood as Xiao Nuan has left her for a month and takes it out on his staff. When she returns one month later, he treats her coldly as he is angry especially when she returns the money she owed him. Jia Yi advises Xiao Nuan to try to comfort Fei Mo as she might have made him feel unwanted since she left him without a word just after he had confessed his feelings for her. So, Xiao Nuan tries her best to pamper Fei Mo by waiting and cooking for him. She also explains that she took up the advertising shoot because she wants to repay him so that they could start their relationship on an even footing. However, Fei Mo is still treating her coldly although he is happy with her explanation.

Jiang Fang is getting busier at work. Ling Er is happy taking care of him but she is still jealous of Xiao Nuan. Jiang Fang witnesses her demanding that Xiao Nuan’s posters be removed from Yaohua’s lobby. Yun Zhou tells Fei Mo not to treat Xiao Nuan badly although he might think she is cute to be pursuing him for a change. He warns him that if he hurts her too much, she might just run away.

Fei Mo stops his cold behavior and invites Xiao Nuan to an amusement park. He is no longer angry with her and tells Xiao Nuan that he loves her for who she is. They reconcile but Xiao Nuan is still not comfortable about making their relationship public. So, Fei Mo has to pretend there is nothing between them in front of others.

Episode 27

Xiao Nuan hears gossips about Fei Mo receiving flowers from an admirer. She feels jealous and a little angry. Fei Mo is unsure what Xiao Nuan is angry about. During the screening of her movie, Fei Mo moves to sit with Xiao Nuan. She is still cold towards him. After the movie finishes, Xiao Jing asks Fei Mo why he has moved his seat. He replies that he just wants to discuss with Xiao Nuan her acting. While they are talking, Xiao Nuan stuffs a note into Fei Mo’s pocket.

Yun Zhou’s mother is pressuring him to settle down. She wants him to meet an old family friend’s daughter. Fei Mo notices Xiao Nuan’s note and calls for her to come to his office. Fei Mo tells her that the flowers have been thrown out. He again wants them to announce their relationship but Xian Nuan says she needs time to consider. She kisses him on the cheek when he is not happy with her answer. Xiao Jing sees Xiao Nuan running out from Fei Mo’s office and then notices the lipstick mark on his cheek.

During the weekend, the couple spend time together and enjoy each other’s company. Director Li surprises Xiao Jing on her birthday. On the first day of screening, Blue Sky Galaxy ticket sales is not encouraging. But Xiao Nuan still wants Fei Mo to accompany her to watch it. While on a date with Jia Yi, Yun Zhou’s childhood friend turns up to play a trick on him.

Episode 28

Yun Zhou’s friend, Zhao Di, claims that his mother sees her as her daughter-in-law and that Jia Yi is meddling in their relationship. Jia Yi is unhappy and leaves but Yun Zhou asks her to trust him. She chooses to believe him. The feedback for Blue Sky Galaxy is largely negative. Xiao Nuan is unhappy and apologizes to Fei Mo. She feels that she is partly responsible for the poor ticket sales. But Fei Mo encourages her instead. He advises her that it takes time for people to accept something new and that she shouldn’t give up.

Pressuring Jiang Fang

Xiao Jing is discussing with Director Li various promotions that they could do. Xiao Nuan pitch to them some of her own ideas. Han Hui instigates Ling Er to ask Jiang Fang to take down Blue Sky Galaxy from Yaohua’s cinema chains by mentioning Xiao Nuan. However, Jiang Fang refuses because of the agreement Yaohua had signed with Anning. Ling Er gets angry with him for it. Jiang Fang then gives Fei Mo a heads up that he may not be able to maintain Blue Sky Galaxy’s screening schedule for long.

Fei Mo decides to use Xiao Nuan’s impromptu singing of an opera song as promotional material. The clip garners a good response and the movie ticket sales rebound. With Xiao Nuan’s increasing popularity, Fei Mo delays the announcement of their relationship as he doesn’t want to take the attention away from Xiao Nuan’s efforts. Ling Er overhears Jiang Fang’s conversation with Han Hui and his refusal to take down Blue Sky Galaxy from Yaohua’s cinemas. Han Hui reminds Jiang Fang of his status and how it would embarrass Ling Er if the public were to find out his previous relationship with Xiao Nuan. Ling Er is angry and hires someone to spread inside information on Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan.

Episode 29

Xiao Nuan is rumored to be the third party in Fei Mo’s relationship with Han Hui and that she gets to be the top actress because of Fei Mo. Reporters hound Xiao Nuan when she makes an appearance. Han Hui is not happy either that she is dragged into the rumor as it is humiliating to be pitied upon as an international star.

Xiao Jing is worried over Xiao Nuan as the rumor could destroy her future if not handled properly. Director Li tells her that she shouldn’t feel responsible for other people’s lives. Furthermore, she is not courageous enough to step out of her comfort zone. Director Li reminds Xiao Jing that she still owes him an answer from 10 years ago when he confessed his feelings for her.

Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan decides to go public with their relationship. Xiao Jing finally gathers up her courage to accept Director Li. Xiao Nuan is a little uncomfortable to be addressed as Fei Mo’s missus. But the public admission of their relationship has garnered positive feedback. Ling Er is not happy and picks a fight with Jiang Fang when she learns that he is discussing further promotions for Blue Sky Galaxy. She accuses him of doing it because of Xiao Nuan. Jiang Fang ignores her and walks away.

Han Hui meets up with a famous screenwriter. She is unhappy that Fei Mo has publicly announce his relationship with Xiao Nuan. Fei Mo’s mother wants to meet Xiao Nuan now that he has officially acknowledged her as his girlfriend. Ling Er’s brother praises Jiang Fang for his capability but also reminds him to take care of his sister. Han Hui informs Jiang Fang that she has a way to break up Fei Mo and Xiao Nuan.

Episode 30

Fei Mo brings Xiao Nuan home to meet his mother. Ms. Cheng likes Xiao Nuan very much and is pressuring them to get married. Han Hui gives Jiang Fang a script and asks him to get Xiao Nuan to be the actress together with her. She wants Xiao Nuan to know that she is only a substitute. Jiang Fang tries to convince Xiao Nuan to accept the role.

Yun Zhou’s mother seeks out Jia Yi and tells her to leave her son as they belong to 2 different worlds. Jia Yi recalls being abandoned by her rich ex-boyfriend also because of parental objection. She tells Yun Zhou that she is not ready when he suggests that he should bring her to meet his parents.

Xiao Nuan loves the script Jiang Fang sent. Xiao Jing reports to Fei Mo about the script and Han Hui’s involvement. Both of then are apprehensive and want to protect Xiao Nuan. When Xiao Nuan informs Xiao Jing that she is interested to take up the role, the latter advises her not to. Xiao Jing is afraid of potential problems since Han Hui and Xiao Nuan is Fei Mo’s ex and current girlfriend respectively and some things are beyond their control.

When Jia Yi goes to look for Yun Zhou at his office, she notices Zhao Di with a visitor. Zhao Di purposely gives Jia Yi the impression that she has a close relationship with Yun Zhou. Jia Yi decides then to break up with Yun Zhou but he vows to prove his love for her. Xiao Nuan tries to convince Fei Mo to let her take up the role offered by Jiang Fang. She wants to prove that she has the ability to succeed without Fei Mo’s help as this is Yaohua’s project.

Episode 31

Fei Mo rings Han Hui to ask for her motive to rope in Xiao Nuan for the film project. Han Hui claims it is a good script and will benefit Xiao Nuan as a newcomer. Fei Mo doesn’t believe her and warns her not to cause trouble. Jia Yi is heartbroken but confides in Xiao Nuan that it is the right choice to break up with Yun Zhou as she doesn’t want to be a burden to him since they are worlds apart.

Fei Mo decides to let Xiao Nuan to take up the role since it is important to her. But his condition is that she must be protected at all times. Xiao Jing is worried about Xiao Nuan but Director Li assures her that he will look after Xiao Nuan during filming. Ling Er quarrels with Jiang Fang over Xiao Nuan being selected as the actress for the new project. A slight altercation results in Jiang Fang falling down the stairs when he tries to save Ling Er from the same. Although Jiang Fang is not seriously hurt, they do not know how to face each other after the incident.

Xiao Nuan arrives for filming with her bodyguards which invite gossips. They also tend to get in the way during filming which causes her much embarrassment. Fei Mo finally agrees to withdraw them when Xiao Nuan pleads with him. While Yun Zhou is heartbroken, Fei Mo is looking at wedding rings. The script for the movie involves a man who falls in love with a woman who looks like a younger version of his ex-girlfriend. When Xiao Nuan asks Fei Mo if she looks like Han Hui, he distracts her with a playful answer. Then, Han Hui begins posting pictures of her younger days.

Episode 32

Xiao Nuan is taken aback that Han Hui looks so much like her during her younger days. Han Hui also purposely sets her appearance to look like Xiao Nuan for their final shoot. Everyone is commenting how much they look alike. In the final scene, both women were arguing over the man they love which is exactly like their situation in real life. Fei Mo drops by to visit Xiao Nuan but she feels confused and dejected that she might just be Han Hui’s substitute in his heart. He tries to tell her that the shoot is over and she has to get out of her role. But Xiao Nuan is still feeling down and leaves hurriedly in a taxi. Fei Mo gives chase but collapses in pain in the rain.

The doctor’s initial diagnosis is stomach cancer. Fei Mo asks Yun Zhou and Director Li not to tell his mother and Xiao Nuan about his condition. Yun Zhou is not agreeable but Director Li tells him that it is Fei Mo’s wish. Furthermore, Xiao Nuan is feeling depressed because she thinks she is Han Hui’s substitute and they shouldn’t increase her pain.

However, Xiao Nuan still finds out that Fei Mo is in hospital through Jia Yi. She rushes over but sees Han Hui in his room. Fei Mo wants to explain initially but changes his mind when he thinks of his cancer. He tells Xiao Nuan that she is indeed a substitute for Han Hui and that they should break up. Han Hui is smug and happy but after Xiao Nuan leaves, Fei Mo breaks down in tears. He tells Han Hui that they shouldn’t meet again.

Episode 33

Both Xiao Nuan and Fei Mo are heartbroken over the split. Xiao Nuan packs up her belongings in Anning and goes back to her hometown. Han Hui is unhappy that she has lost the thing that matters most to her despite having achieved much success in her career. She begins to realize that it is not Xiao Nuan who has snatched Fei Mo away from her but that she has already lost him earlier.

Both Jiang Fang and Ling Er admit that they are unsure what they want anymore. Ling Er returns the wedding ring to him as Jiang Fang speaks of re-discovering himself. Before she leaves, Ling Er informs Jiang Fang that Xiao Nuan has split up with Fei Mo. Jiang Fang bumps into Fei Mo at the hospital and learns that he is sick. He demands to know why Fei Mo has hurt Xiao Nuan. Fei Mo informs him that he has stomach cancer and that he doesn’t know how long he has to live. Hence, he breaks up with her to save her the pain later. However, Jiang Fang tells Fei Mo that it is selfish of him to do that as he has already caused pain to Xiao Nuan with his actions.

Jiang Fang also informs Han Hui that he is leaving Yaohua. They have both chosen money and career over love but once the choice has been made, they can no longer recover the past.

Episode 34

Jiang Fang packs up his things at Yaohua and tells Ling Er that he will be going back to his hometown. Yun Zhou and Director Li try to advise Fei Mo to inform Xiao Nuan about his condition but he refuses to listen. His stomach pain gets worse and doctors are summoned.

Jiang Fang goes back to look for Xiao Nuan. He apologizes for hurting her in the past. Jiang Fang also tells Xiao Nuan that he wants to make amends for his past mistakes. He has left Ling Er and Yaohua and plans to start all over again. Finally, he informs her that Fei Mo has stomach cancer. Although Fei Mo wants to keep it from her, Jiang Fang feels that she has a right to know. Xiao Nuan regrets that she has not seen through Fei Mo’s pretense earlier and wants to be with him immediately.

Reconciliation

Director Li gives a clip featuring Xiao Nuan’s acting in the recent movie project to Fei Mo to watch. In it, she mentions about him having promised to take care and be with her but that promise has been broken. He is not protecting her by pushing her away because what she wants is for 2 people to be together until the end. Fei Mo is moved and forces himself out of his hospital bed to look for Xiao Nuan.

They reconcile. Fei Mo apologizes to Xiao Nuan for his hurtful words. He tells her that he loves her. They spend time together sitting on the beach until Wen Kai rushes over to tell them that the hospital has made a mistake on Fei Mo’s diagnosis.

Yun Zhou leaves Jia Yi messages to lead her to the pinwheel park. He tells her that he understands her worries but he loves her. As long as they are together, he is not afraid to face the uncertainties ahead. Finally, he proposes to her and she accepts.

Episode 35

Xiao Nuan gets nominated as best actress and begins to have lots of fans. Ms Cheng asks for a meting with Han Hui. She accuses her of creating rumors about Xiao Nuan but Han Hui says that is not a rumor but fact. Han Hui further blames Ms. Cheng for splitting up her and Fei Mo. Ms. Cheng admits that the American director is arranged by her but the decision to leave is Han Hui’s. It was a test but Han Hui chose career over Fei Mo. Furthermore, Ms. Cheng tells Han Hui that by pretending to be the savior Fei Mo is looking for, she is also making herself to be a substitute for the person who had actually saved him.

On the awards night, Han Hui and Xiao Nuan meet each other. Han Hui tells Xiao Nuan that they are both substitutes for the woman who had saved Fei Mo. But Xiao Nuan replies that you are only a substitute if you think you are. Han Hui suddenly decides she wants to go back to the US. She has no confidence of winning the award and wants to save herself the embarrassment of losing to Xiao Nuan. So, Han Hui leaves before the ceremony begins.

Xiao Nuan wins the best actress award and thanks Fei Mo in her victory speech. She also thanks those who has helped her in the celebration party. With her popularity, Xiao Nuan is given a chance to join a film project by a famous international director. However, she is hesitant as she will need to be abroad for a year. Fei Mo encourages her to take up the offer.

Episode 36

Fei Mo wants to spend more time with Xiao Nuan before she leaves. Director Li teases Fei Mo until the latter tells him that Xiao Jing is accompanying Xiao Nuan abroad. He carries Xiao Jing away from her meeting and brings her to buy a wedding ring. Director Li proposes on the spot and Xiao Jing accepts. Noticing the ring on Xiao Jing’s finger, Xiao Nuan congratulates her. Xiao Jing then mentions to her about the ring Fei Mo had specially ordered for her earlier but didn’t collect due to their break up then.

Xiao Nuan decides to go to the shop to get the ring. She is touched that Fei Mo had planned for it all along. When she gets to Fei Mo’s place, he has fallen asleep on the couch while waiting for her for dinner. She looks at him lovingly and then decides to call Xiao Jing. During dinner, Fei Mo keeps telling her how to take care of herself while she is abroad and to remember him.

Proposal

On the day Xiao Nuan left, Fei Mo feels lonely and misses her terribly. He goes back to the house that Xiao Nuan first moved into as his nurse. Fei Mo finds it decorated with candles and flower petals. Then Xiao Nuan pops out from a box to surprise him. She kneels down with the ring and burst into tears. Fei Mo kneels down as well and takes the ring from her. He pops the question and she accepts. Yun Zhou, Jia Yi, Director Li, and Xiao Jing appear to demand them to kiss to add to the happy mood.

Jia Yi and Yun Zhou bump into Zhao Di again during their date. She tries to hint that she has an intimate relationship with Yun Zhou but this time, Jia Yi chooses to trust him. Zhao Di then congratulates them as they have passed her test. It is all a ruse from the beginning as she has no romantic interest in Yun Zhou at all. Zhao Di is also starting her own company and employs Jiang Fang.

During their wedding photo shoot at Xiao Nuan’s hometown, Fei Mo accidentally falls into the water. Xiao Nuan saves him and Fei Mo realizes that the person who had done so once before is actually Xiao Nuan.

The good thing about this drama is that is it short and sweet – great for those who don’t have a lot of time to invest in long dramas. Finally, The Love By Hypnotic is really sweet with lots and lots of kisses. Although it is a costume drama, it is still worth checking out the cute couple!
