If you are into romantic idol drama, Ski Into Love premieres today, 11 March 2025, exclusively on Youku. This drama stars Esther Yu Shu Xin and Lin Yi. It is adapted from a romance novel written by Qing Mei and will have a total of 23 episodes. The drama is directed by Gia Lee who was also the director for Hidden Love and Mr. Bad. Other cast members include Fei Qi Ming, Jenny Zeng, and Xia Hao Ran.
Esther Yu plays Wei Zhi who is a cartoonist. She encounters setback in her work and becomes depressed. When she chances upon a snowboarding video, she becomes attracted to the sport and the spirit associated with it. Thus, Wei Zhi ends up at a ski resort to learn it. She meets Lin Yi’s character, Shan Chong at the resort. Shan Chong was a professional snowboarder but was forced to retire due to injury and parental pressure. But he still has passion and ambition for the sport.
Wei Zhi’s determination rubs off on Shan Chong which fuels his motivation to return to the sport. As they work through obstacles in their way, both Wei Zhi and San Chong fall for each other. Together, they try to achieve their dream through determination, persistence, and hard work.
